Celebrity Seed: Nivea and Reginae Take Manhattan

Earlier I told you that Lil Wayne was spotted in Manhattan with his baby mama, Nivea, and their infant son. But it appears that he had his entire harem and brood in NY with him for what he probably thought was a final goodbye until the end of the year when he’s expected to be released from prison.

Paps caught up with Nivea and Reginae, Antonia “Toya” Carter’s daughter by Weezy, while they were on a shopping spree spending Weezy’s money. There is no doubt that Reginae loves her daddy to death.

I told you that I spent some time with Reginae in an Atlanta studio in December ’09. When she wasn’t talking about her OMG band mates, she was talking about her daddy. I hear that Wayne spares no expense giving his little girl what she wants. And, in fact, Toya has to step in and say no to the lavish gifts because she doesn’t want her only child spoiled.

By the way, some of you have been emailing me about that Twitter war that took place yesterday between Shamra Rodriguez, the baby mama of a R&B singer (who is always late with his child support check) and his girlfriend, who despises Shamra because she’s beautiful.

I spoke with Shamra yesterday about the drama that went down on Twitter. Shamra’s daughters, Bahja and Lourdes, are members of the OMG Girls. I may or may not do a write up on the drama because minor children are involved, and those kids are very Internet savvy. So stay tuned.

Allen Iverson’s Wife Files For Divorce *UPDATE*

UPDATED: to change headline

The AJC.com reports that Allen Iverson’s wife has filed for divorce:

In the divorce petition filed on Tuesday, Tawanna Iverson said her 8 ½-year-long marriage to the guard was “irretrievably broken.” In the petition, Tawanna Iverson asked for temporary and permanent custody of their five children as well as child support and alimony.

She did not ask for a specific dollar amount.

The children range in ages from 17 months to 15 years.

The children and their parents have lived in north Atlanta since August, according to the court filing. Before that, the family claimed homes in Rochester, Mich.; Englewood, Colo.; Denver, Colo.; and Villanova, Pa.

Well, so much for that excuse that Philadelphia 76er Allen Iverson gave to explain why he wasn’t playing in regular season games for the Philadelphia 76ers. According to online reports, Iverson said he was taking a leave of absence to spend time with his daughter who was suffering from a mystery ailment.

But according to ESPN blog, Iverson won’t be back in a Sixers uniform this season.

Allen Iverson’s second stint with the team he once led to the NBA Finals ended Tuesday when the Sixers announced he would not return for the rest of the season.

Iverson has mostly been absent from the team for a month, returning to Atlanta to be with his family as they deal with an undisclosed illness of his 4-year-old daughter, Messiah.

Iverson, who returned as a free agent to the 76ers in December, has not played since Feb. 20. Read More…

Not to be deterred by his unemployment status, Iverson partied with NFL players Deon Grant and Edgerrin James last night at Vice Lounge in Atlanta. Vivica A. Slimm’s next gig is in Toronto, Canada where he’s promoting a party hosted by rappers Julez Santana and Fabolous on March 19.

Lil Wayne, Nivea Flee NY

Rapper Lil Wayne wasted no time fleeing New York after getting yet another reprieve from a judge. Wayne pled guilty last year to weapons possession and was ordered to serve 12 months in prison. A courthouse fire on Monday delayed Wayne’s sentencing hearing until this coming Monday (Mar. 8).

So yesterday, Wayne, his baby mama Nivea and their 3-month-old baby son, Neal, left Newark airport bound for Atlanta. TMZ.com‘s crack camera crew were on the scene to film the trio’s departure from their New York hotel.

As you know, Wayne and Nivea are engaged to be married.

Morning Wood: Chad Ochocinco

As R&B Diva Monica once said, Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco likes to pull pranks. So I have no doubt that this video of him jogging in his birthday suit was a stunt staged by him to get maximum exposure (so to speak) from the blogs. Notice how he turns strategically to make sure the camera gets every angle? This guy is setting himself up to be an even bigger attention whore than Puff Daddy. You need more people, Chad.

Wyclef Jean’s Wife Finds Nude Pic of His Manager On His Cell Phone

Did you hear about the latest scandal involving Wyclef Jean?Rumors have been swirling for years about Wyclef’s womanizing ways. So it’s no surprise that his wife, Claudinette (pictured above with him), found a naked pic of his manager, Lisa Ellis, on his cell phone.

Claudinette raised Holy hail and Ellis tendered her resignation (or was fired) as Wyclef’s manager. Ellis, of course, denied any hint of an affair, but we know better. Ellis was formerly Executive VP of Sony Music Label Group and President of Sony Urban Music.

She told The NY Daily News that her leaving had nothing to do with his wife and a source says she left because Wyclef “doesn’t listen” to her anymore. She also claimed the photo was a portrait taken by celebrated photographer Mark Baptiste, and that it was “tastefully done.”

We all know the difference between a studio shot and a cell phone pic (I hear it was the latter). And I’m sure Claudinette knows the difference as well.

A source said, “She resigned because she just was not happy with the way Wyclef was conducting himself. He wasn’t listening to her advice.”

The 37-year-old Wyclef and Claudinette, a fashion designer, got hitched in 1994. They have a daughter and they renewed their vows in August 2009.

They were together at the recent NAACP Image Awards, where Jean was honored.

Celebs Out & About

The other day, director Gaberiel Heart shot the video for 8BAll & MJG new hot single featuring Grand Hustle artist Young Dro called “DJ Bring it Back.” Isn’t he deliciously handsome?  ExclusiveAccess.net

Earlier this week, a verified Twitter page supposedly belonging to rapper T.I. sprang up on Twitter.com. Curiously, I had just gotten off the phone with a highly placed exec at Grand Hustle Records when I noticed this @Tip page on Twitter. We spoke for over an hour and not once did he mention a new Twitter page for T.I. It made no sense because anyone who knows T.I. knows that he’s too cool for Twitter. It turns out the page was created by T.I.’s label Atlantic Records (but verified by T.I.) for promo purposes only.

T.I.’s baby mama, Tiny (probably on instructions from T.I.), took to her twitter page the same night to inform her followers that T.I. was not on Twitter. She did this likely because neither Tiny nor T.I. like misleading their fans. T.I.’s niece Kamaya also confirmed that he was not on Twitter. After making some inquiries, I learned that you will see promo tweets on that @Tip page but it won’t be T.I. himself updating it. Meanwhile, the webmaster of T.I.’s website posted this cover for T.I.’s first single since being released from prison titled “I’m Back” (T.I. will be released from a halfway house later this month).

Shawn “Tubby” Holiday, Sr. VP of A&R at Interscope Records, is one of the most influential execs in the biz. He’s currently in the studio working with Puffy and Dirty Money to finish their album. He’s also working The Game on his new album. If you want a record deal, this is the man you need to see. He can make things happen for you quickly. Tubby’s friends threw him an intimate power dinner for his birthday at Mastros in Beverly Hills over the weekend. Click image to enlarge. L to R: Ron Artest (LA Lakers), Cudda (discovered Nelly), singer Pleasure P, producer Polow Da Don, Tubby, and Alex Avant, son of music legend Clarence Avant.

Something Went Wrong Inside Katherine Jackson’s Group Home For Boys

If you’ve been following the latest chapter in the Jackson family saga, then you know that the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) has been conducting an investigation into an incident that occurred at the Jackson family compound in Encino, California.

According to TMZ, DFCS were called to the home on Monday (Mar. 1) after private security on the property said they heard a strange noise coming from the 2nd floor of the house. After an investigating, they determined that Jermaine’s 13-year-old son Jaafar tried to shock Michael Jackson’s youngest boy, Blanket, with a stun gun that he purchased over the Internet using a Visa gift card that he bought at a supermarket.

According to TMZ, the late Michael Jackson’s older brother Jermaine Jackson filed for divorce from Alejandra Jackson in 2004. The couple fought bitterly over custody of the children. It was decided that their two children Jaafar, 13, and Jermajesty, 11, would live at the compound with Katherine and their mother. Alejandra contends Jermaine asked for this odd living arrangement because he did not want to pay child support.

At some point Alejandra moved out of the house leaving the two boys to be raised by Katherine, along with Alejandra’s other two kids she had with Michael and Jermaine’s younger brother, Randy.

In addition to the four boys, there’s another kid named Dante whom Jermaine adopted, and Michael’s 3 kids, Paris, Blanket and Michael II. That’s 8 precocious kids living with an elderly woman in a rambling 12 bedroom, 25 bathroom home.

Something was bound to happen.

Katherine denied any of the children were in danger, but DCFS has been out to the home 3 times in as many days to interview the children and the adults separately about the stun gun incident.

Boys will be boys, but in this case, boys need adult supervision and it’s clear that they are not getting that in the Jackson home. Furthermore, Katherine Jackson is too old to run behind those kids. So who is watching them? And where was Jacko’s longtime nanny, Grace?
