Premiere: Trey Songz – Neighbors Know My Name

The video for Trey Songz’s “Neighbors Know My Name” premiered on BET’s 106 & Park yesterday. Trey has a hit on his hands but his voice is annoying to me. I remember him saying he was working with R.Kelly on this track like two years ago. It’s no coincidence that he sounds just like R.Kelly at the beginning.

Trey does a hell of a job playing the role of a straight man in this video. Keston Karter might want to take notes. Trey’s leading lady is S.I. model Jessica White, who is used to sleeping with men who don’t quite measure up in bed.

Anyone else tired of seeing Jessica White? *raises hand* She needs to watch out before Maybelline pulls her contract. She has been acting hella slutty. One day we see her with Terrell Owens, next day, Sean Pean. Then we see her with Neyo acting a fool. Now this. UGH. Also, Trey needs to determine his target market. Is it little girls or grown women because most of his fans are little girls and they do not need to be watching this. You know what, I am going to go ahead and just say it: homosexuals like Sandra is the type that makes me not want to have anything to do with gay people. It is almost like Sandra uses her blog (which is her right) to breed hatred towards homosexuals by accusing everybody and the Easter bunny of being gay. That is so unfair. How in the world can people connect with gay people and hear of their grievances and fight for gay rights if their sexuality will always be called into question by gay people who are insecure about their sexuality? Does Sandra believe that by convincing herself that everyone is gay will make women give up on men and turn to lesbianism? This Trey Songz gay fantasy is played out. Unless he says otherwise, he is a heterosexual man. All of his mannerisms and charisma points towards him being heterosexuals. This obsession is almost like a fat person convincing themselves that if they eat just one large pizza a day and nothing else, then they will shed the excess pounds. How stupid is that?

BTW, the model looks amazing. Great body!

Nicely said Jewelry, she does make the gay pop look really bad. I have always felt that Sandra has a problem with herself being gay. I just don’t get the so-and-so doing xyz makes this group look bad. Especially when it comes to Sandra saying others are homosexuals. She speaks for herself alone. I’ve never read anything she has written and had that add to or take away from my perception of any other person who happens to be gay. She’s just like the rest of us. I am one person. Anyone with half of some sense should not judge ALL Black people, women, Mothers, Wives, Christians etc, according to MY actions. I was not saying Sandra alone. I have met other gay people with this same mindset and it does nothing to further their cause. I used to be friends with a gay male and at first I thought that it was cute when he pointed out heterosexual males as his sex partners. Then I recognized that he would only do it once they rejected him. He would go off and say stuff like, “Don’t let me go there and tell what we did last night..etc…etc…etc…” I realized that he was a fraud and that he only did this when he could not have his way. It was a form of manipulation. He placed himself, his family, and friends in awkward and dangerous situations simply because no one was checking for him. It took a long while for me to warm back up to gay people because they can be so emotionally unstable…and loud as heck!

I don’t think that Sandra is too far off when it comes to her saying this or that person is gay. When it comes to the entertainment industry more than one person has gone the casting couch route and not always with the opposite sex.

The industry has a way of getting people addicted, turning people out and leaving them on the side of the road. How else would you explain all the people that are addicted to coke, herion etc. How else do you explain Jamie Lynn Spears, Cassie, Kanye, Diddy, Chris Stokes and the Mckenzie Phillips types.

Celebrity will make you do some effed up shiz and in order to stay there you have to play the game or become a casualty.

Take what Sandra says with a grain of salt because of course not everyone is gay, but in the industry, like the gov’t a good majority of the people are in fact gay even though they may hide it very well.

@Jewelry, I think it’s more of a personality type than lifestyle though.I think you are drawn to a certain type of gay person. At one point I wondered why I kept ending up with drama-loving female friends. Rather than decide ALL WOMEN are dramatic and only befriend males I realized that those are the type of females I was drawn to. So while I wanted and kept MY life drama free I lived vicariously through OTHER women’s drama. Once I recognized that it was ME, from then on at the first sign of “she love her some drama” I either limited my contact with those women or dropped the friendship altogether.

To clarify my viewpoint it’s that whether these “celebrities” are actually gay just means nothing to me. If they are, I don’t see the point in outing them as it has nothing to do with their level of talent. That’s all I’m saying, but it’s not so serious as to stop me from viewing the posts/pics

That is so true. There is a saying, show me your friends and I will show you yourself. When I was younger my gay male was so flaming and flamboyant. We were quite the opposite because I was very shy and reserved (imagine that ). So yes, whenever he acted out, I ran and tucked tail so to speak
