Tiny and Toya Cover Hype Hair Magazine
Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and Antonia “Toya” Carter look stunning on the cover of this month’s Hype Hair magazine.
In a recent interview with Honey mag, the ladies shared their relationship experience and wisdom with their younger fans by telling them that it’s not okay to be loose with their bodies. Hopefully, the young ladies will take heed of their advice.
How soon is too soon to get intimate with a guy?
Toya: When you first meet him like in the first 8 months. I think that’s too soon. Some of them just want to talk to you because of who you know, who you are, what you’re doing so you have to test them out. I want to know if you like me or who I am associated with. You have to feel them out.Bad guy or good guy? Who are you more attracted to and why?
Tiny: Honestly I’ve always been into the bad boy – I can’t lie. Something about the bad boy just attracts me, just gets my attention you know? There are some good guys that I can think of now that can be sexy, now that I’m older. But when I was younger, it would always be the bad boy.Toya: I don’t like a softy softy but I don’t like a thug either. The reason why is because I don’t need any thugs around me. I have a daughter. I need someone who is well-established, not into a lot of BS, and very family-oriented. Someone that is cool and not on no dumb stuff. You can’t just bring everybody around your kids. I’m dating. I need someone I can bring home to my daughter. Not just anybody can come around her.
The 2nd season of the popular Tiny and Toya Show premieres on BET April 13th.

I feel as though you do what you want. Sometimes when you follow rules you miss out on something. Go with the flow. If you and him are adults than so be it. Me and the ex-husband went at it the second date. Besides my children that was the best part of the marriage.

@ms.truth honestly i did…we were introduced through a mutual friend and we spent the whole day together talking and having such a good time. he had to go to his apartment to do something, said he was coming back and while he was gone i figured hell imma let em hit it so i prepared for his arrival back and we went from there haven’t been apart since (except for our deployments)

Black hair magazines have the worst photoshopped covers. Despite that, Tiny and Toya’s hair looks good. Im not feeling the blue contacts on Tiny.

Interesting….I wish my mother lived by the rule you ladies have.. She had every tom, dick, and harry around me growing up (when she was around). Then when they would leave she would question the heck out of me asking if they came on to me or touched me wrong.
I also think if the 1st night feels right then go for it, hubby waited over a year to get my goodies but we were young.. Knowing what I know now I should of gave it up sooner and to a few more men. Being 33 and only been w/ 2 men is kind of boring to me…

Toya is so pretty to me and despite the accent she seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Tiny seems sweet and I’m probably the only one on here who feels this way but I think if she left TI she would really blossom. I didn’t watch either show but from just pics I’ve seen when she’s with him she comes off as cheap ghetto and a little trashy but while he was locked up she had a happy glow about her which is not something you can fake, started dressing better and just something changed. I hope she keeps that happy glow now that he’s home because she does seem like a sweet lady

I’m still reading comments but on the bringing men around your children thing I don’t believe in it nor would I ever let their father (if the trifling sob tried to at least) bring a woman around that he was not serious to the point of considering marriage around them. My personal philosophy is that if I’m not about to marry you then you don’t need to meet my children period. The guy I’m currently kinda dating (long story) has met them but only because we’ve known each other since childhood and they know him strictly as mommys good friend. When he comes by he sits in the living room and we talk from across the room no hand holding, kissing none of that. When we go out they’re at a sitter if he spends the night they aren’t here, etc. It makes things more difficult but its worth it if it means my children are protected from confusion. @ daisy in my younger days I just did whatever I felt meaning 1 date, 2 dates, 2 hours I just followed my hot ass draws wherever they went. I knew my husband for 2 platonic years prior to dating and it was still about 4 dates before we had sex but I had a bf I dated for over a year who was a random one night stand. We had known each other 2 hours #dontjudgeme. And our relationship was great I kick myself to this day for leaving him for my sorry ass husband. Now that I’m older and dating with children plus times have changed and diseases are everywhere I prefer to wait at least a month maybe more plus I found that the suspense makes it better

I don’t like a softy softy but I don’t like a thug either. The reason why is because I don’t need any thugs around me. I have a daughter. I need someone who is well-established, not into a lot of BS, and very family-oriented. Someone that is cool and not on no dumb stuff. You can’t just bring everybody around your kids. I’m dating. I need someone I can bring home to my daughter. Not just anybody can come around her.

@ Florida, sorry I was reading and commenting at the same time and missed your question. I guess you can say I’m crazy when it comes to my kids and if I can’t trust a man enough to give myself to him in marriage then I can’t trust him around my kids. So when (if) it gets to the point where I’m in a relationship where we are seriously discussing engagement/marriage then the final deciding factor will be if he meshes well with my children. If so, then great and if not then he clearly won’t be the man for me. I wouldn’t show up one day with a man and say guess what kids here’s your new daddy!! Lol but I would start gradually introducing him into their lives and see how it goes from there. I’m just not willing to take chances with my babies (well they’re not babies anymore sigh) and they are really friendly loving kids who get attached easily so if I’m not sure the relationship will last I don’t want them to be hurt and disappointed, especially not my son and oldest daughter because they are still recovering from the pain of not having a dad around and witnessing what happened in that relationship. I’m pretty anal when it comes to my kids. I won’t even let a man pick me up from my house until several dates in because if he ends up being crazy I don’t want him knowing where my children sleep at night

Lord please me. My cousin’s neighbor had a baby girl around the same time I had my last and she came over.So the baby was about a year old and she let her stand next to mine and Lea(4 year old) says.
