I’m not mad at rapper Lil’ Kim for being down with the kitty! Kim stepped out for a night on the town with her girlfriend last night in Hollywood, CA. The two partied at Guys and Dolls night spot, and yes, they are holding hands. For once Kim looks nice and happy.
Rihanna gestures to her boyfriend Matt Kemp of the Dodgers after he hit a home run at LA Dodgers opening day yesterday. The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks by the final score of 9-5 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles CA.

I have gotten so much attention since cutting my hair….I have spoken to other women who are natural and short and they have expressed the same sentiment. So I just want to know…is there a sector of black men who find short and natural attractive!!

There’s no such thing as a coincidence period. Everything happens for a reason and a purpose. And nika, I don’t believe in the illuminati, I don’t believe that there is a group of mere men orchestrating events on earth because God always has the upper hand and final say so those who think they’re in charge and have power are in for a major rude awakening. BUT I do believe that there is and always has been a conscious real effort to lead people to their ultimate and eternal demise. When the bible says there is a war going on, its not a lie. And in that war, those who have the power to influence large groups of people, especially easily impressionable youth, have always been used. Each generation has a new evil, that the old and wise speak out against and the kids say is just art or music and with each generation the morals have slid down until you get to where we are now. And rappers and entertainers unfortunately have the power to influence our kids and make them think this stuff is okay. And with babies having babies, the crack epidemic in the 80′s, the meth and drug epideminc now you have more children with no moral structure who are basically raising themselves and looking up to these entertainers. So although they played that so called prayer as a joke, it wasn’t and although that symbol has been used to symbolize a lot of things (including the Longhorn) it is not coincidence that they are throwing it up. Maybe if she was at a Longhorn game but she’s at a Dodger game. None of what is happening now is coincidence, accidental or just entertainment. Like I said before I do listen to secular music but I pick and choose and once I hear in a song something I disagree with or that’s a direct contradiction to God I’m done with the artist and the song and most importantly I keep my children as far as I can away from it. I don’t even let them do the Kidz Bop cds because its the same songs just without the cuss words sung by children. They didn’t have that when I was a kid and parents are buying those cds handing them out to their kids thinking there clean and safe not realizing that the message is still there even when its sung by a child without cursing. Sorry for the essay, I’m not trying to force my beliefs on anyone but I would encourage anyone who believes in God to read their bibles and start really really listening to what some of these artists are saying and watch what they do.

I’m sitting here with one of my brothers. I asked him and he said YES. (He made me jump, lol) He said natural or permed, short hair is sexy and he thinks women with shorter hair have ‘more spunk because they aren’t slaves to their hair.’ When my hair was short, many guys liked it. Now that it’s back long, I find some men are shocked that it’s all mine. Our other brother feels that weaves are getting played.
Also @cheeks, I noticed that too that the majority of the big name stars who are at the forefront rarely if ever mentiong God anymore. @Corporate, I learned when they went to school I couldn’t protect them from everything but they definitely know right from wrong and I don’t play. When they come home singing crap they get popped and told not to sing that mess anymore. I used to have them on nothing but gospel and veggie talkes but now I let them listen to regular music but what I like which is mostly older stuff and if something comes up in a song I stop and talk to them about why its wrong. Same with movies, my son loves all the action movies and I sit and watch with them and we talk about things that come up in the movies. But there is not a song or movie in my house that hasn’t been prescreened and approved by me. People forget how important it is to talk to your kids and let your kids see you doing right. I’ve smoked since I was a kid, its my worst vice and I hate it. My children know that I smoke, but they’ve never seen me do it, they’ve never seen me buy a pack of cigarettes and I’m constantly on them about the dangers of it and how I wish I never started. My son just picked up one of my medication bottles and asked me about the numbers on it and why is said drug on the bottle because he’s been taught drugs are bad. I used that as an opportunity to go further about drug abuse specifically prescription drugs and pills. I use everything they see, hear or encounter as an opportunity to teach them and use my life as an example so they don’t make the mistakes I made when I was younger
@ohpretty, your brothers are right especially your other one. I gave up weaves 10 years ago and will never go back. I’m in this awkward grow back stage where its not long enough for a real ponytail but has grown out of the style but I refuse to throw a weave in so I just put it in a slightly poofy ponytail, clip it under and wear a cute headband. It grows fast though so I only have to deal with this a little longer (I hope)

We are on a gossip site because we like to read about celebs and what they’re doing just like anyone and enjoy conversating (its a word today) with SOME of y’all (lol I’m just playing). Being a christian does not mean that we don’t have fun and do some of the stuff that other people do, nor does it mean we are perfect. I can’t speak for anyone else but I am NOT perfect. I have my faults just like everyone else, I have things that I’m not proud of and temptations/vices that I battle with each day just like everyone else. The difference is I know who I belong too.. God. I’m a child of God, meaning I worship and praise Him everyday and give Him thanks. It means I know without a doubt that Jesus died on the cross for sinners like me, was buried and then rose again 3 days later defeating death and the devil. It means I ask for forgiveness each day and believe that I’m forgiven because of that very sacrifice and it believes that I am constantly and actively working to better myself according to His Word, which is the Bible. That doesn’t mean I’m perfect. And while you may not agree with what any of us are saying, someone else who didn’t have a clue about any of this may open their eyes today and watch a little closer and hopefully be saved because of it. God is real and capable of working anywhere, including on a gossip blog

I’m on this site just like other people read those magazines in the checkout line in the store. Now for the most part my comments are generally positive, I don’t ebeef, I don’t drag people for the parts of their appearance they can’t control, I cuss a little but that’s a daily battle with me because its something I’ve been doing since I was 7 but I’m doing a lot better and have gotten to the point where I usually catch myself. So to make it short, no reading this site is not one of the many things I ask forgiveness from but if I say something on this site that I know is not right then yes I will ask forgiveness and make a conscious effort not to do so again. And God has actually reached me on this site a few weeks ago when I was really down and my faith was almost shattered. Then when I was able to tell my dv story last week. Then when I found out 3 other regular commenters have the same health issue I do although mine may be a bit more advanced but I knew no one else in my age group facing the same trial and now I have 3 people that although I’ve never met can pray for me and understand what I’m going through which was a big problem for me. I’m not a bible verse thrower because my memory is so bad I can’t memorize the verses. I write down those that speak to me and keep them in my wallet lol but everyone has things they battle and somethings are not correctable overnight despite constant prayer and even repentance sometimes we slip and fall and need to come back to Him and try again.

But what we do know is that in our American culture at this present day, is that it means “rock star” or the devil’s horns. Now both of those have devil affiliations. And just because some people don’t think it means she worships the devil, she may think that. Who really knows? We never know what symbols mean to people. Just like devil worshippers also worship the sun and moon, most people only see the sun as a provider of light and energy but they see it as something else. We can only make a conclusion based on the facts we are presented with and a lot of people conclude that she worships the devil when she does this.

yes they are devil horns and they mean “rock on”. it’s just a play on images b/c people used to see rock as the devil’s music so they made a joke out of it and basically said “yes, rock is the devil’s music. f— you. let’s rock on”. i mean even the blues was seen as devil’s music. if you’re such a believer in God might as well not listen to music at all because most genres were seen as being devilish at some point. i swear-some people are just sick or paranoid. you’re looking way too deep into things.
@crislex exactly! italians also use that symbol as do baseball players. it seems like SOME black people (because it’s really a small crowd of bloggers and this tends to happen on black sites) are searching for something, for some conspiracy. it’s ridiculous.
