FanMAIL: Ciara Set To Unleash ‘Basic Instinct’

My nephew Sam who runs the popular ThatGrapeJuice blog over in London says the title of Ciara’s new CD is Basic Instinct.

Apparently, the anticipation for Ciara’s new album has reached a “fever pitch” in London. Well, that surprises me because there is no such fever pitch on this side of the pond for Ciara’s album. I wasn’t even aware she had an album dropping.

As anticipation for Ciara’s new material reaches fever-pitch, the sultry songstress has revealed that her forthcoming LP is titled ‘Basic Instinct’.

Revealing the news at the premiere for Chris Rock’s ‘Death at a Funeral’ last night in LA, the singer added that the album is “even more sensual, confident, and cocky…in a fun way”. The record was executive produced by the 24 year old, and hitmakers The-Dream & Tricky Stweart.

‘Basic Instinct’, which will be preceded by first single ‘Ride (ft. Ludacris)’, is due in stores this summer.

Still Young Jeezy?

A bunch of blogs ran with the assumption that rapper Young Jeezy dropped the ‘Young’ from his name and was going by the singular moniker ‘Jeezy’ now.

But a source close to Jeezy’s camp just reached out to Sandrarose.com to say that Jeezy doesn’t know where the blogs got that from.

“Don’t get it twisted. He’s still Young Jeezy,” said the source — with strong emphasis on the ‘Young’.

The blogs all point to the cover of his single “Lose My Mind” featuring Plies, as evidence that Jeezy dropped the ‘Young’ from his name.

But MTV’s Shaheem Reid posted this tweet on his Twitter page yesterday:

So Young Jeezy it is.

Trouble in Paradise for Vivica and Slimm?

Aunt Viv should have known this would happen as soon as her new boy toy, Slimm, got a whiff of stardom and bright lights. It can be intoxicating for a man as young as Slimm. Especially if he can’t hold his likher.

Meanwhile, peep this video of Viv and Slimm making a grand entrance at his party at Geisha House over the weekend.

Self-proclaimed cougar Vivica Fox might be ready to dump her latest boy toy, club promoter Slimm. At his 26th birthday party at Geisha House in Atlanta, which Fox hosted, Slimm — who was celebrating with Allen Iverson and Jermaine Dupri — was seen chatting up several female guests. Fox, 45, and Slimm later got into a tiff because she felt Slimm wasn’t appreciative of her. “She’s questioning whether Slimm is grown enough to handle her,” said a source close to the actress. Nas Ordered To Pay Big Bucks To Kelis

$10,000 a month in spousal support is a mere drop in the bucket to a baller like Nas.

Even so, Nas should have persuaded his baby mama Kelis to have his baby here in Georgia where the couple had a home together. Judges here don’t care how much money a celeb makes. The standard child/spousal support check here in Georgia comes to about $2,500 a month.

Just ask rappers T.I. and Jeezy.

Nas went to court Monday over his divorce with Kelis — and walked out a little lighter in the wallet.

According to documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Nas had to immediately fork over $47,249.42 in back child support and $40,454 in back spousal support.

The judge also ordered Nas to pay $10,000/month in spousal support until he pays off the $299,015.50 he owes Kelis.

Nas also has to pay 90% of Kelis’ legal fees in the amount of $155,787.28.

Lastly, Nas has to pay $48,549.83 to cover Kelis’ accounting expenses. Read More…

Obama Administration Flip Flops On Nukes Policy

The Obama administration waited until U.S. president Obama left the country to respond to the public uproar regarding Obama’s controversial new “no nukes” policy.

This is typically what we have come to respect from the administration that seems to be winging it politically.

Obama’s policy was clear: if we’re attacked by another country using chemical or biological weapons, we would not retaliate with nukes.

But according to Hot Air, Hillary Clinton explains, “If we can prove that a biological attack originated in a country that attacked us, then all bets are off.”

Obama’s Secretary of Defense Robert Gates (the one who Obama said he would listen to over Palin) now says Obama’s new policy leaves a lot of wriggle room to pull those nukes out of storage:

“We were concerned about the biological weapons,” Gates said, “and that’s why the president was very clear … if we see states developing biological weapons that we begin to think endanger us or create serious concerns, that he reserves the right to revise this policy.

Okayyyyy… but didn’t Obama’s policy say we would not be developing any new nukes? So once the old nukes are used up, then what?

According to the NY Times, we might respond with nuclear weapons to a biological attack if and only if the attack came from a country with a big bio stockpile.

What that means is, after a biological strike — while millions of Americans are dying a slow, painful death — Obama will be safe in a shelter miles below the earth saying, “Does anyone here know if the country that attacked us had a big stockpile of biological weapons or a small one?”

NOT AGAIN?

U.S. president Barack Obama breaks with established protocol AGAIN by bowing down to China’s communist president. Will he ever learn?
