PICS: Ralph Lauren Hosts The Annual Ludacris Foundation Fundraiser
Last night, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges held his annual Ludacris Foundation fundraiser at the high end Ralph Lauren Purple label boutique inside Lenox Square mall in Atlanta.
Celebrities included Gabrielle Union, who co-hosted with Luda; actresses Keshia Knight Pulliam and Mari Morrow, singer Bobby Valentino, football great Warrick Dunn, Kim Zolciak’s ex Lee “Big Poppa” Najjar, my winner of the $500 shopping spree Andrew Palmer and more!
Ralph Lauren’s top executives flew in from New York for the event. Everyone who attended the event donated to the foundation through purchases from the boutique. Everyone bought something, even if it was a decorative candle. 15% of the purchases went to the Ludacris Foundation.
My lucky winner Andrew Palmer, a student at University of South Georgia, was able to meet Ludacris and Gabrielle Union and take pictures with them. Then Andrew, whose username is “Acemaster” on my blog, went shopping for clothes with his winnings! Thanks again to Ludacris, The Ludacris Foundation, Jamal Coleman of J Coleman Presents and Chaka Zulu for making that happen for him!

The Ralph Lauren Purple label tie that was presented to my winner Andrew Palmer last night. The tie was designed by Ludacris, Jeff Dixon and his brother Chaka Zulu (CEO of DTP) to benefit The Ludacris Foundation. Ludacris will fly to Chicago next month to personally present 107 of these ties to the entire graduating class of Chicago’s Urban Prep Charter school who were accepted to college. The tie retails for $200.

The event was super fun and Im so glad that I was able to make it. The shoe game was on point and I got a chance to chat with Luda’s girlfriend. She was pretty and nice. Told me she had on Sergio Rossi heels. Great event for a great cause!

The statement about college: was based upon your “OverEMPLOYED” comment..only because it left me with the impression that you may be about your money…and if it came early in your life…college may have been a distraction….
The kid comment is based on the fact, that you say what you want…and you don’t hold back…most men with kid’s tend to have an awareness of sensitivity.
Unfortnantly: I did not finish..I dropped out after my divorce…and got caught up with life and the 9 to 5 work force…BUT I am a FIEN for education…BOTH of my kids are in college…one graduates this june, the other is completing her freshman year. I said once she becomes an independent student: I will return. I have accountability police in my life who remind me that I MUST RETURN!! I will..PRAYS!!!

Awwww…. I see. Your interpretation of “overemployed” didn’t apply to me but it definitely applied to just about every dude that I knew. All of them got something payin some money (what they considered to be “money”) they got the car and started chasin azz and that was it for school. I ALMOST got caught up in that too….
LOL. Oh,well yeah, I speak my mind (hence the screen name). If your feelings get hurt then shame on you for being sensitive and chit. I am NOT good with holding back my opinion, BUT I can handle the opinions of others that differ from mine.
