When Twitter Goes Beautifully Right
I often focus on the negative aspects of Twitter.com, such as this post about rapper Ice-T’s shameful twitter rant at singer Aimee Mann.
But today, I stumbled across this Twitter page of a young, up-and-coming rapper who preaches the gospel through his music.
His name is Lecrae and he tweeted this earnest expression of love for his wife that really touched my heart in a tender way because you don’t often see this type of sentiment by a young black man on Twitter.

This isnt new.. Its always some positivity, most just prefer to focus on the negative.(The American Way). But Good happens everyday.. There are still real men out there that grind for their families, and love only ONE woman… And LOVE GOD!!

sorry folks…Lecrae recently moved to Atlanta and therefore should not be considered an ATL rapper. Plus considering he does Christian Rap, he really shouldn’t be lumped in with the rest of the ATL folks. Lecrae was born and raised in Texas.
This is adorable and I agree that there are positives everywhere if you can take a minute to stop looking for something negative.
I don’t think he thought to himself before tweeting this that SR would see and blog about it so how can this be considered a marketing ploy and why is shade being thrown his way? Why can’t he just be happy and in love? And even if he is an ATL rapper he’s also a gospel rapper so I doubt Sandra will be shoving him down our throats like she does those bags and other atl “celebs”

We all know no MAN gets love on this site (unless he’s T.I.) and watching Sandra gush all over some broad is like watching a train wreck… you KNOW Sandra turnin’ on her a$$ is just a matter of time… but you can’t help watching and coming back to, “wait for it… wait for it…” LOL
Sometimes I think Sandra gets paid for her posts and it doesn’t really matter after the initial “love fest” because she gets paid BY the post… which explains her “you’re GAY AS HELL” to Trey Songz one week and then the semi-positive post the next week.

Wow, @MISSY and @CARRINGTON: I receive at least 100 follow requests a day and half of them are blank pages, aka bogus pages. So I take the time to look at each page because I only want real pages following me. In the course of doing that, I saw his tweet. It just touched me because he’s so young and I see so much foolishness on Twitter. I’m not saying men don’t show love for their wives on Twitter.

Lisa Raye was in that horrible movie they show on EBT all the time. She was a cowgirl and I think The Brat was in it too. It was awful so I am not sure who else was in it because I couldnt watch more than 10 minutes of it.

Girl, I think I might can get with SoulPlane before that movie….LOL..girl, but from the time the credits roll in the beginning of the movie until AJ Johnson got shot in the butt at the end of the movie, my son was in stitches…..
and you are doing yourself a diservice by not watching a Gang of Roses…like I said the other day….I will break my neck to watch that movie EVERYTIME it comes on, because there is NOTHING like a Drama that ends up being a comedy…. LOL

@ qtipthecat….Oh ok Gang of Roses….I took looked at approx 3 minutes of it and changed the channel and leapy I remember Sparkle! That was actually a good movie. Usually when u see a movie as a kid you think its the best thing ever, like u said about your son on I got the hook up. I used to think Howard the Duck was off the chain when I was like 4. I saw that mess again as an adult and I was like what crackhead studio gave the greenlight on this ish…Same with Purple Rain lol!

Girl! You haven’t seen Sparkle???? Man, they wouldn’t have it in the video stores, because its so old, but there is this website I will have to find it, that sells nothing but old classic black movies.
Its about three sisters who end up having minor sucess for being an “around the way” singing group…..its set in the seventies and Phillip Michael Thomas, Lonette Mckee [i think that is her name- the one who plays Wesly Snipes wife in Jungle Fever] Irene Cara, and a lot of othe people star in it…. Sparkle [Irene Cara] is the middle of the three sisters and Lonette Mckee is the oldest and the “PRETTY ONE” she ends up on drugs etc….but Sparkle ends up getting a record contract with the help of her boyfriend Stix [Phillip Micheal Thomas]…its really good…you have to see it….
Aretha’s Franklin “Giving Him Somthing he can feel” that song was on the soundtrack for that movie. That is where that song comes from….. and when envouge remade that song, that video paid tribute to the movie…

So I take it you have never seen Steven Speilbergs movie IT…..before that movie I used to collect clowns…I used to love them….I haven’t touched a clown since….up until this day, that movie scares the shyt out of me…..
@ leap, see above ^^^^^ “It” jacked me up for life and I was scared to walk past sewers for a long time as a kid…and there was a sewer right next to one of bus stops as a kid and I thought a clown would jump out and get me.

I guess you can say that…just a WAY grittier version of Dreamgirls..LOL….no one really ever MAKES it, in Sparkle [but its inferred that Sparkle makes it], the costumes, the dance moves [while sublte but very sexy] are just awesome!
Lonette Mckee is absolutley BREATHTAKING in that movie… very beautiful!!!
