Legendary singer Whitney Houston has suffered another setback to her troubled world tour. According to online reports, Houston was hospitalized on Wednesday (April 7) in Paris, France with an upper respiratory infection.

The 46-year-old, whose hits in the 1980s and 1990s included “I Will Always Love You” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” had been scheduled to play a gig in Paris on Tuesday but cancelled it at the last moment.

“Doctors visited Whitney late last night in Paris and confirmed that she was suffering from an upper respiratory infection,” her label Sony Music said.

Sony said she hoped to play a concert in Birmingham, England, next Tuesday before continuing the European tour.

The star was being treated in the American Hospital in Neuilly, a clinic in a chic Paris suburb favoured by French celebrities. She was treated there in 2005 for gastroenteritis. Read More…
