PICS: Fantasia Shuts Down The 2010 BVI Music Festival
R&B Diva Fantasia Barrino was the headliner at the annual 2010 BVI Music Festival that took place over the weekend and ended today. According to BVI News, the 25-year-old singer demanded that the concert organizers remove barricades that prevented her from getting up close and personal with her Virgin Island and Bahamian fans.
The audience roared its approval as Fantasia told the organizers the concert would not begin until the barricades were gone. With the barricades removed, Fantasia launched into her hit song “Free Yourself” as her fans rushed to the front of the stage. I must make a mental note to go see Fantasia perform the next time she comes to Atlanta. She is so passionate and dedicated to her craft.

Just cause she sweats don’t mean she drinks before shows. Everybody who sweats ain’t an alcoholic and under the coldest conditions being up on that stage under all them lights is hot. Add to that she’s singing her ass off, moving around a lot and wearing clothes and yes she’s gonna be dripping. No not all artists are seen sweating as much but many artists aren’t doing so much, singing so hard (or at all) and wearing a **** ton of waterproof makeup that’s like paint and powder to mask the sweat.

I love Fantasia! It’s just something so genuine about her, I think it may be knowing her struggle and what it took fro her to make it in the industry. Love that she is about her family, love it!

This is the point. These celebs go on stage trying to be cute pissing me off. When you pay for a show, give the people a show. Put in work. I can’t stand seeing somebody walk up and down the stage like they can’t put energy. I like the fact that Fantasia is passionate about her stage shows but she needs to show the same passion in the studio.

Why can’t Fantasia just stay on the stage and leave the barricades alone? Doesn’t she know that they are there for health and safety of the audience? She gets on my nerves being so needy and needing to feel the fans to perform. When someone gets crushed and injured because of her silly divatastic demands she will understand.
