Rapper Trina, right, and her ex Missy Elliott partied the night away at the Velvet Room last night.
Trina’s CD Amazin’ is in stores right now. In a recent interview, Trina blamed the male-dominated rap game on the lack of attention real female MCs receive:
It’s always gonna be less recognition for female MCs because it is a male dominated industry. I work as hard as the male artist do, if not more, so I just stay focused on that and continue to keep grinding. I don’t let those barriers distract me at all.
Missy was surrounded by a bevy of beautiful women in the VIP — as she always is. That’s a true pimp right there. Missy has turned out more groupies than Da Brat — who by the way was given a weekend pass by her prison warden so she could visit the set of her play-play sister, LisaRaye’s new movie, over the weekend (I’ll have a pic in a minute).
If you watch LisaRaye’s popular “The Real McCoy” reality show, then you know LisaRaye couldn’t keep her lips off Da Brat on the set!
Missy arrived in style driving a custom, hand built Spyker C8 Spyder. The two-seater can accelerate from 0 to 100mph in 4.5 seconds and is the 2nd fastest legal street car in the country with a top speed of 200mph. Even though it’s an Indy level sport machine, this car was built with safety in mind. The Spyker won’t start unless the driver and passenger seat belts are fastened. Singer Akon also drives a Spyker.

i had to read up on da brat/lisa raye sister thing yesterday after a friend of mine had me looking at the show. heard two different things…da brat stayed w/ lisa’s family for a while and da brat’s dad is lisa’s step dad…when you look up stuff about their parents, even though the stories may say they are sisters, the parentage does add up in any way.
i’m pretty sure i made up a word w/ parentage…so leave me alone English police…
