VIBE’s BEST. COVER. EVER?
My nephew over at 2DopeBoyz says Erykah Badu’s VIBE magazine cover is the “BEST. COVER. EVER.”
I doubt it. But it does beat the breaks off of Nicki Minaj’s cartoonish VIBE June cover, which you can see after the break.

And best cover ever is a bit of a stretch … IMO
either that’s NOT erykah’s body or they photoshopped the hell out of that pic. Erykah’s waist is NOT that small and neither is the top of her bottom area. She got HIPS and if hips start after the bottom of that pic, she would be so deformed.

Who can take Nikki serious when she looks like a freak show. This is two extremes in one post. Erykah a real artist and Nikki a gimmick.

I used to love Erykah back in her “Baduism” days. Now I don’t know something aint right in the water. I mean she seems to be trying to hard. She’s so into black power and strong black weapon BUT WHAT SHE PORTRAYS IS SO FAR OFF FROM THAT!!!!!!!!! Look at her fruit from the tree. Come one son, her way of life is so opposite. She doesn’t believe in self empowerment because if she did she wouldn’t be started her own tribe. Secondly, she obviously doesn’t pratice what she preaches cuz she obviously has the SPIRIT OF WHOREDUM

I like Nikki I just wish she stop being so cartoonish. The girl has skills and you can hear that when she isn’t trying so hard to fit the mold that she built for herselft. I don’t think she’s better than Kim or even Foxxy Brown. Nikki is also pretty but the crazy outfits, huge butt, and neon colored wigs takes away from that. But you gotta think Kim went through that stage also and lets not forget about Em when he first came out. Everything was a joke to him. Ms. Badu……she has pretty eyes. I don’t see why ppl claim she is so pretty. I just don’t see it

with that being said, I must agree.
I never called anybody a hater and I asked if you had an issue with neo soul aritst since you stay taking shots (your right/choice) at them. There is a difference

@ KARAZ of course. Just stating my undervalued opinion. I like her music but she completely lost me after MAMA’S GUN!!!!!!! Her life mirrors the exact lifestyle in my opinion as the majority of the enemy.

Iscream said it perfectly: Niki Minaj is a gimmick. And that’s ok. She is colorful pieces of bubblegum sent forth to distract this generation from what a true lyrisist is….she is the poster child for ERR-N-ANYBODY CAN DO A TRACK ville. A great hook and a personalized riff inserted into every track does not a rapper make.
I don’t hate on niki making her money…or her fame…but lets’s stop giving her the position of top ranked! female rapper just because….I need for the buying and listening public to stop hitting the snooze button on her 15 minutes of fame

E. Badu gets my vote. I won’t say best cover ever, but I will say I like it a hell of a lot better than Nicki’s. She may have a sharpie tatoo, but the shot speaks volumes. Badu has always been on that different ish, that black power ish, that metaphysical ish, that DEEP shyt. A picture is worth THOUSAND words, so if you only can think of six, you need to expand your vocabulary.
Why must there be comparison? Is the industry really that small…?
I like both of them.

wow…for real..you read my comment all wrong. I wasn’t comparing the two…I don’t even SWEAT the other chick, so she wasn’t even in my thought process.
My comment was based on whether this was really ERYKAH’s BODY in the picture. I wasn’t dissing Erykah’s body, because I think she looks great. I was saying that the photo must be photoshopped because Erykah has HIPS. I’m disputing who the PIC is, not TALKING negative.
I like both pics and I’m lovin both artists right now. Erykah’s latest CD is straight fire and I have not heard a Nicki track I didn’t like. I know she has a totally manufactured image, but I love her voice and her flow. I can even appreciate the professionalism it must require for her to pull off a totally fake image. She’s like the bionic rapper. But I love her. I wish she would hurry up and put out a CD so I can see what she really has.
