Barack Obama On CNN’s Larry King Live

US president Barack Obama went one-on-one with CNN’s Larry King last night. Obama told King that he was “furious” at BP for causing the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Barack failed to mention that he himself accepted responsibility for the BP oil mess. Or that he just last week said “the buck stops with me.”

Typical of most narcissists, Barack has trouble accepting blame or guilt for anything. But he will happily take credit where credit is not due. Obama didn’t bring up how the federal government dragged it’s feet in response to the disaster until the media began focusing on it.

But he did say how angry he was.

“I would love to just spend a lot of my time venting and yelling at people, but that’s not the job I was hired to do. My job is to solve this problem and ultimately this isn’t about me and how angry I am.”

Obama reiterated that BP has the best technology and know-how to try to stop the leak. Unfortunately, the leak won’t be completely stopped until August — which cuts dangerously close to the midterm elections in November.

Knowing that, King asked Obama his thoughts on the latest CNN Poll that showed Obama at 48 percent support among the American people.

“Given everything that’s going on, my poll numbers are all right,” Obama said.

@Cinderella, well i didn’t vote then, nor did i vote in the Obama presidential election. I’m voting in the next election though. Any Republican candidate has my Vote!..Thats if Obama hasn’t resigned by then due to lack of competency to run a Country. This is coming from someone that cried during the inauguration of Barack Obama. The Kool-aid was working overtime! And yes i know Bush left a whole lot of Mess but Obama shouldn’t have promised so much. He portrayed himself as the Messiah. That image he built for himself is coming back to haunt him.

Not against anyone on this site, but many folks were not that intrigued/interested/well-versed whatever with politics/office of President until this man came into office. I never saw much news on Bush on social blogs unless he didn’t pronounce a word correctly (often). Now everything is Obama’s fault, the economy, jobs, oil spills, weather…

    @ ohpretty1,

I totally agree…before Obama won, you never saw anything on this site dealing with politics..now the site has become more argumentative about things Obama is and is not doing on a daily basis making this site a gripe site instead of what Sandra use to do..I would like for her to go back to doing the gossip and other stories and leave the politics to CNN and NBC..

    Carrington says:

    Sandra,

I was never a Barack Obama fan from the beginning because I could see through the “buzz words” like “change” that resonated in people because that’s what we needed at the time and he never said what that change was going to be and on top of that, I’m more concerned about progress and MY life than making “history”.

Question: WHERE WERE YOUR RELENTLESS “NARCISSIST” POST ABOUT THE BIGGEST NARCISSIST PRESIDENT OF THIS GENERATION: GEORGE BUSH??

I DON”T EVER RECALL YOU GOING ON AND ON (AND ON) ABOUT THE WHITE NARCISSIST WHO DID EVERYTHING HE COULD TO EFF THE COUNTRY UP… WHAT IS YOUR BEEF WITH THE BLACK ONE WHO TOOK OVER AFTER HE FINISHED?

    OutsidetheBox says:

    :lolol: Love Mr. Burns!

@Mayborn: How could President Obama portray himself as the Messiah? The media did what they wanted to do and you (the collective us) bought into it… marketing 101.

President Lincoln was a Republican. :coffee: So was Johnson but he took back our 40 acres and mules… I said all that to say don’t just vote along party lines. It’s like Christmas treeing your SATs! Research your politicians and their politics…Happy Voting!!!! *throws confetti*

Thank you @OTB. I don’t know why people put themselves into/declare parties anyway.

Voting for a politician because of a particular party they are affiliated with instead of what their platform stands for makes a person a fool…case closed!!

    OutsidetheBox says:

*whispers* Sugar she gets a little…whats the word…testy?? :lolol:

  32. 32
    Carrington says:

I agree with OTB and SS!

People kill me not knowing a damn thing about politics and suddenly want to defend Obama’s without knowing a damn thing that happened in the white house prior to him other than the fact that the same media that they suddenly hate for calling Obie out, is the same media that gave them the perception that Bush was an idiot.

I think Obie is fair game for the media just like Bush was, but I WILL admit that I hate it when SandraRose has NOTHING good to say about him – EVER when she never was a political commentator before he took office.

I also agree wit whoever posted about Sandra site being so political since Obama came into office and she had nothing to say previously. Maybe it’s cuz SHE CAN’T VOTE AND HER OPINION IS LIKE THEY SAY (EVERYBODY HAS ONE)

_________________________________________________________________________AMEN, AMEN…..If you didn’t vote in the Bush election and you didn’t vote in the Obama election…..what’s your issue? Obama didn’t make people believe he was the messiah…the people believed he was the messiah. No ONE is perfect but GOD! Come on now…Sandra has to be a citizen of the United States. She can’t be using a work visa like that. Ms. Rose…what are your views on immigration reform/law/whateva you want to call it?

I honestly believe that these Obama posts empower folks to get involved. They’re the only reason I come to this site. I love to watch y’all agree to disagree intelligently. To h3ll with who you vote for…just being informed and participating in this democracy is a great thing.

To this post specifically…I think the POTUS became entangled in old school “take charge even if you don’t know what you’re doing” leadership philosophies when he announced his oversight of the disaster recovery process after BP kept failing. Just as he did above when speaking on being angry about the situation…he should have assured everyone that the best minds were already engaged…that’s why BP hired them. You gotta let those folks work…applying unneeded pressure will not help anything at this point. NOBODY saw this coming…this is the first time it’s happened re: a mile below the surface of the gulf.

What were you crying for? All the chit Bush left behind for him to clean up?
Furthermore, you didn’t know how things were going to go.

Are you for real? How did he do that????
