NBA baller Carmelo Anthony celebrated his 26th birthday with family and friends at Phillippe Restaurant in LA on Sunday (May 30).
LaLa ordered up a custom birthday cake for her fiance who has been on his best behavior since he put that ring on her finger last year. The lavish wedding is next month and it will be televised by VH1. Coincidentally, T.I. and Tiny are set to say their ‘I do’s’ this month at an unknown location (not in Atlanta).
Melo’s son Kiyan also presented daddy with a custom Birthday Cake. The inscription on the cake reads: “I hope I will be able to fill your shoes! Happy birthday daddy! Love, Kiyan” We know that those are not really little Kiyan’s thoughts. My guess is LaLa and Melo don’t realize they are setting little Kiyan up for failure before he’s even had a chance to grow up. Suppose he doesn’t want to play ball in the NBA like daddy? The cake’s design was inspired by the latest Jordan Future Sole Melo M6 shoes.

The cakes are beautiful. Can’t believe he is only 26. He is getting married young. Don’t want to hate, but hope it lasts. Most people I know who get married young. get divorced.

To me it looks like cardboard boxes painted black. Are those strawberries or flower petals around the cake?? Is the Melo/M melting?? What is it (M/Melo sign) made out of…sugar…metal?? Can you eat it?? What does black frosting taste like??

Lala said in an interview that she didn’t want anymore children because she had morning sickness her whole pregnancy with Kiyan. Maybe she’ll change or mind or adopt.

That’s exactly what I thought, but I guess it was such a tramatic experience, she didn’t want to risk it. She said she felt like she was dying.
I thought LaLa and Carmelo were engaged wayyyyyy before last year? I thought they were engaged before or during the pregnancy???

@sandra most kids that age until preteens want to be just like there parents, so why not. I think it’s cute or maybe he wants to be a business man like his dad,… never know.

Maybe its just me but I used to think she was tragic when she first became a host on MTV, then as the years progressed she came all the way up! I think if I remember correctly, she had a slight Quasimoto/Hunchback of Notre Dame thing going on with one of her eyes, I promise one used to be lower than the other…Oh well she looks good now! *claps*

Thanks for the info KraZKat. My co-worker is pregant now and one of her side effects is that she has to spit, ALL THE TIME. She carries a coffee mug with her at all time and spits in it. This is her second pregnancy and she endured the same thing with the first. It is a rare effect, but she has it.
The second pic. are the sneakers a little boy designed for Melo and are apart of his shoe line he wore them during the season and to my understanding the first cake is his logo for his brand….
I will say this is the best looking Celeb cake I have seen on this blog…

I didn’t know Lala and Carmelo were dating until I saw them on MTV Cribs in 2005 and he addressed her as his fiancee’(sp). The Sneaker Cake is cute and their son is beautiful.

When my aunt was pregnant w/ her 1st child she was always sick and always had to spit (she kept a bottle w/ her @ all times)…she had no problems w/ her 2nd pregnancy
Lala had a severe form of morning sickness called, Hyperemesis gravidarum. I had a professor who also went through this. Classes were cancelled for two weeks because she couldn’t stop throwing up. I don’t blame Lala for not wanting to take a chance with another pregnancy.

@Tink Tink – Well, I guess ya learn something everyday. I had never heard of this happening. I don’t know which is worse – throwing up or spitting up.
All I know is, I wish somebody in my office would make a bday or retire…I want some cake!!

They make a cute couple. As with all marriages I pray it lasts. I would hope that no one goes into a marriage looking for a divorce but hey marriage means different things to different people now a days.

NO it’s not just you…I was thinking the same thing. She does looks kinda loose and thrown together in that first pic.
And all celebrity “custom made” cakes look disgusting as hell. I watch ‘Ace of Cakes’ and I see how they make them “custom” cakes…

My co-worker is 7 months and the spitting is not because she’s sick but it’s just a side effect of being pregnant. There’s nothing she can do to stop it and goes the entire length of the pregnancy. Considering what some pregnant women have to endure, she said she can handle the spitting.

I didnt have the same illness the 2nd time around. I suffer from Vertigo and it makes me throw up at times (one times 4x a day) so I feel her pain somewhat throwing up def SUCKS!
I noticed the fake smiles but maybe they had been smiling all night and were tired of smiling
I only like buttercreme or creme cheese icing I HATE that whipped fluffy icing

Yeah, if she’s having an otherwise healthy pregnancy, I guess spitting would be the least of her worries. Can’t blame her for that. She’s almost at the home stretch.
@Daisy, I wouldn’t want only one child either. Maybe Lala and Melo will adopt one day. Lord knows there are so many children available.
Vomitting has got to be one of the worst things to do. I can’t imagine doing so the whole 9 months of pregnancy.
Hopefully, if Lala decided to get pregnancy again, she wouldn’t experience the same kind of sickness.

Melo, IMO, looks older than 26 but they look good together. LaLa needs her money back for that black shi.t of a cake but the shoe cakes are cute. Oh also Lala’s, tiddays look a bit tired…..they shoulda gotten some rest before the party!
