Luther “Luke Skyywalker” Campbell reacts to his daughter calling him a deadbeat dad
There is no doubt that Luther “Luke Skyywalker” Campbell was a male whore at the peak of his success with The 2 Live Crew rap group in the 80s. Luke sowed his wild oats and impregnated a number of groupies in those heady (pun intended) days.
One of his seeds, a daughter, has spoken out against her sperm donor dad — now that she’s of legal age and no longer receives financial support from him. You’ve probably seen her video on WSHH. She comes across as a bitter ingrate who loathes the idea of actually working for a living.
Well, Nenette of the Mad Hatta Morning Show caught up with Luke recently to get his take on the situation. Luke said he is only financially responsible for one of his 5 grown children — a baby boy with his current wife. That makes sense, doesn’t it?
“I have one kid. His name is Blake Campbell and he stays with me and me and my wife raise him. I’ve made mistakes in my life and I’d like everyone to understand that It’s important to practice safe sex and it’s important to not have sex without condoms because you’ll be sperm donating and when you sperm donate to angry mothers then unfortunately it’s about a check. In Case You Missed It: ESPN’S ‘The Two Escobars’
Last night, ESPN’s “30 for 30″ aired one of the most anticipated documentaries in its critically acclaimed series of 30 sports-themed documentaries set to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the network.
The Tale of Two Escobars chronicled the lives and deaths of two men from Medellin, Columbia who didn’t know each other, but whose lives were intertwined by violence and their passion for soccer.
Pablo Escobar was a ruthless Columbian drug lord who oversaw the multi-million dollar a day cocaine enterprise, the Medellin drug cartel. At the time of his death he was worth an estimated $9 billion. It is said that Pablo ordered the murders of 5,500 people in Bogota, Columbia — mostly innocent bystanders, police and political figures who got in the way of his goal to control the government of Bogota.
The Medellin cartel was responsible for supplying the majority of the cocaine sold on US streets from the 1970s to the 1990s. Pablo Escobar was killed in a hail of bullets in 1993 after George Bush, the U.S. president at the time, put a hit out on him. He was the first of the two Escobars to die
The second was Andrés Escobar, who died a year later at age 27 when he had the misfortune to score a goal in his own net during the 1994 World Cup. The Columbians are fanatical supporters of the sport of futbol. Rival drug Lords who ran three of the biggest drug cartels in Columbia had bet millions in drug profits on the outcome of the 1994 match.
There are reports that individual team members of the Columbian Atlético Nacional team received death threats and the 2-year-old son of one of the players was kidnapped before the match.
So it was under this extreme pressure that the players took to the field in the Rose Bowl on June 22, to play a first round match against the United States in the 1994 world Cup.

I guess rapper T.I. has the AXE effect. Word on the street is the King of The South just inked a deal with AXE for a whopping $10,000,000 to headline a 50-city tour sponsored by the grooming product giant.
That’s enough loot to finance a very lavish wedding! Could this contract with AXE be the reason why T.I. didn’t perform at a radio station’s Birthday Bash over the weekend here in Atlanta?
But the terms of their contract didn’t stop T.I. from showing up and shutting down the Gold Room last night! The Key Club party promoted by Alex Gidewon of AG Entertainment Group was hosted by former Miss USA Kenya Moore. My spies tell me the Gold Room was already poppin’ even before T.I. and Young Jeezy nonchalantly strolled in unannounced with their crew.
Both T.I. and Jeezy, right, showed love to AG Entertainment Group’s Alex Gidewon, left, last night. T.I. got on the mic and performed a couple of tracks before praising his fans for standing by him during his legal ordeals. T.I. did not get paid for his gig last night, which is a testament to Alex Gidewon.
Celebs Out & About: Vivica A. Fox, Slimm, Rick Ross
So I told you guys that I saw lovebirds Vivica A. Fox and her fiance, local club promoter Slimm, at the Georgia Aquarium on Sunday (June 20). The happy couple said they will be making a big announcement soon. I wonder what it is? I couldn’t get over how statuesque Vivica was in person (she’s at least 5′-10″). In heels, she’s the same height as Slimm though she looks shorter in this picture.
Southern rapper Rick Ross performed at the Velvet Room over the weekend. His song “B.M.F.” is the hottest thing in the clubs right now. I listened to it twice on the off chance that I might like it the second time around. The track sounds like garbage to me, but what do I know about music.

Defaced image of Obama placed next to picture of Unabomber at Bronx firehouse
Firefighters at a Bronx firehouse are catching heat for placing a defaced image of U.S. president Barack Obama next to one of the Unabomber on a toolbox.
According to the NY Daily News, FDNY officials are investigating an image of Obama spray painted on a toolbox with the word “HUSTLER” painted in red over his face. Someone also scrawled “Allah Akbar” – “God is great” in Arabic – in black ink under the iconic image.
On an adjacent panel of the toolbox was the famous police sketch of the Unabomber and words that had been covered with black tape until only “ET ME” was visible.
The images are a direct violation of FDNY rules that prohibit firefighters from displaying vulgar or offensive material in the firehouse or on their lockers.
The president of the Vulcan Society, the organization of black firefighters, said he was disappointed that the image was on display. Read More…
