Bristol Palin Getting Married… to a Male Gold Digger
Now we know why Levi Johnston apologized to former Republican VP candidate, Sarah Palin, for all the dirt he spilled about her: he wanted to get back in good with her daughter now that his aspirations for fame & fortune have fizzled.
You see, Levi Johnston stands to make more money if he is back in the good graces of Palin’s family.
If you recall, Johnston made an azz of himself posing for Playgirl magazine. The issue sold poorly and Johnston became a laughing stock for, shall we say… his shortcomings?
Now Johnston has announced his engagement to his baby mama in an US Weekly exclusive. But Sarah Palin does not approve of her daughter marrying a man who publicly disrespected her entire family.
Bristol Palin, 19, and Levi Johnston, 20, are engaged again, Us Weekly exclusively reveals.
“We got engaged two weeks ago,” Bristol tells the magazine. “It felt right, even though we don’t have the approval of our parents.”
That’s right — Sarah Palin doesn’t approve. But the couple says they reconnected three months ago, while hashing out the custody details for their 18-month-old son, Tripp. Bristol and Levi were engaged once before, but called it off just weeks before she gave birth.
“I really thought we were over,” Levi tells Us Weekly. “So when I went, I had no hope. I think we both just started talking — and then we took Tripp for a walk.”
Bristol finishes the tale: “When he left that night, we didn’t hug or kiss, but I was thinking how different it was. He texted me: ‘I miss you. I love you. I want to be with you again’ … I was in shock.”

One of my friends at work has been goin thru it with her boyfriend. Said they’ve been together 4 or 5 years. She told me this morning that he approached her about getting married a couple of days ago.
She thought that because he brought it up, he was happy about it. She said the next day when they went to go apply for the marriage license, he was irritable.
Basically from what he told her he’s only doing it because he feels obligated to do so. He said that he felt like he owed her that much and he was at the point of either, he steps up and marries her or leaves her alone.
I was like wow! She said she told him she doesnt wanna marry him if hes only doing it, because he feels like he has to and called it off.
So this morning as she was telling me all of this, he called her and told her had told his family. She said but the tone of his voice was not happy.
Anyway she just left and went home for the day (upset naturally) and Im thinkin whoa….she gave him an out and not only did he not take it, he went and announced it?????
I know she reads the comments on SR faithfully, and I was hopin yall would go in on this situation. Maybe it will help her out a little bit.

Well it’s obvious she didn’t/doesn’t listen to her mother, like a lot of think they know it all teenagers!!! She’s legal now and doesn’t need her mom’s permission to get married. I give the marriage 6 months too.

the only way i understand this is if a child is involved because men feel a sense of responsibility to the child. either way, she should not proceed. this is a disaster waiting to happen and please don’t spend money on a wedding.

If your friend and her boyfriend have been “going through it” since the inception of their relationship, a ring will NOT change the situation for the better. Secondly, getting married shouldn’t be classified as something to do or something you FEEL like doing out of obligation. That’s insane! Being the hopeless romantic that I am, I would want a relationship to go the next level i.e. marriage because without me there is no him. Or maybe because I add value to his life and the goals we’re trying to accomplish as a couple and vice versa. And simply because being with me makes this whole thing called life just that much more easier to deal with. This is just my opinion…
If she loves this guy (I’m sure she does if she’s been putting up with his issues all these years) and wants to make this relationship work, I would recommend pre-marital counseling for six months to a year. If after that time frame there isn’t any real change, I would cut my losses. Some people aren’t worth a lot of aggravation…..
Two of my friends, a jewish couple, have a baby that looks just like him- platinum hair and bright blue eyes, and they’re as brunette as they come. DNA is nifty, but the baby will probably have much darker hair by the time he’s a teen.
