CAPPED: Oil Stops Flowing into the Gulf

This image taken from video provided by BP PLC at 15:57 CDT (4:57 p.m. EST), shows that oil has stopped flowing from the new 75-ton cap atop the site of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico Thursday, July 15, 2010. BP finally choked off the flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday — 85 days and up to 184 million gallons after the crisis unfolded — then began a tense 48 hours of watching to see whether the capped-off well would hold or blow a new leak. Engineers will monitor pressure gauges and watch for signs of leaks elsewhere in the well

I want to know how the price of gas was over $4 before he got elected and this oil leak has been going on since April but the price of gas has only changed durning a holiday weekend?
Finally!!!!! This is great news. I hate to be so negative but this whole ordeal is gonna have along lasting effect on our environment….in more ways than one.
