Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade and actress Gabrielle Union went public with their relationship at The Summer Groove Comedy Jam in Hollywood, FL yesterday. The couple told the press today that they are officially a couple and that today would be their coming out party.
Pop legend (and Cougar) Janet Jackson was photographed on vacation with her young, wealthy boyfriend, Wissam Al Mana, in Sardinia, Italy. Below is a recent photo of the couple together at a fashion show.
The stunning Dania Ramirez was spotted on location for her new movie “Premium Rush” in the Upper West Side. She is so physically fit! Doesn’t she make you want to rush to the gym to get your workout on?

Kinda off topic but…… as I near my ‘best before date’….I wonder if women like Gabby, Janet, Naomi Campell, Tyra, Oprah etc ever regret no having kids? I mean, it’s not like they can’t financially take care of them or have to finish college and get a career first?
Does adoption really fill the void when it’s too late…or does ‘adopting a niece/nephew a la Beyonce, fill the void?
If I’m not married by 35 Imma have a kid with a ‘responsible’ boyfriend coz a life of regret and lonliness is not attrative. And adoption scares the hell outa me coz you don’t really know what you’re getting and these kids always feel the need to find their roots and before you know it you are sharing with a blood parent dying to make up for lost time…

Why is it that for some reason I am cool with Gabby and Wade as opposed to my ill feelings about the Alicia situation. Alicia just seems so smug and has that ‘cat’s got the cream’ evil look about her like she’s saying ‘Take that, Mashonda’. Whereas Gabby managed to make slutty a bit classy. Confusing .

I never could understand why ppl don’t want children. I mean everyone has the right to do as they wish but there is something about children that makes life seem worth, makes you feel like a big kid, playing around and enjoying their innocence, you know? You can come home from a hard day’s work and you know some fool at the office done pissed you off, and your baby girl or boy gives you that big grin that says “I’m happy that you’re home”, man that chit is priceless!

I dont think Akeys is smug she is just happy and in love. Her and Swizzy were on the low for awhile before they went public. The only differnce IMO is Mashonda has been vocal about her situation and feelings towards Akeys where as Shivoagan(sp) never said an ill word in public about Gabby to me thats the ONLY difference.
@the off topic subject..I believe people who dont want kids shouldnt have them. I want kids but I will be 34 next mth with not a prospect in sight but I am still keeping the FAITH and believing that my prince charming will show up sooner than later

Zephyr1979 and Thando, I totally agree with you guys. I love children and I want a family of my own once I finish getting my education. But so many people I know are totally against having kids. I just don’t know, I just look at kids as blessing, and a lo of people look at them as burdens or hinderances.

#20, yeah im one of those people. i think for me i spent so many years trying to get and keep my life on track. now that i have, i want to enjoy life and not running behind kids. well that and the whole same sex crush thingy. but still. no kids. if you/he have them, leave them with their mom or nanny. i have so little patience and not in the mindset of making time for people who have them.
Today is my 13th wedding anniversary. I have not been featured on an episode of Snapped. LOL God is great.

I think a lot of women end up not having kids or choose to not have kids because they are not married. While that is a good reason to prolong having kids, a husband is not guaranteed in a woman’s life. Husband or no husband, children are little blessings and I think that every woman should consider reproducing even if she never marries. There are some great responsible men out here that can be great fathers. Marriage isn’t for everyone.

@ OFF TOPIC….I think that is a personal thing not to be generalized. All children are blessing but having kids don’t guarantee a worthwhile life. Babies grow to be teenagers and then adults. Just like adoption you never know what u are going to get. I never heard a parent say “I can’t wait to he/she grow up to be a criminal, rapist, serial killer, murderer, hell u never hear them say I just want a little gay boy or little lesbian.” U just never know. Kids can be a blesing to one family and a hinderence to another.
So if u want kids…..have them. But don’t pass judgement on others who don’t. Their life may be fulfilled by the work they do and the success they reached.

I think it depends on the kids first of all. But even with that being said, I think a lot of people invest a lot of themselves into their children to deflect their own failures and lack of ambtion.
It’s not a coincidence that a lot of successful people have no or few children. The study proves that having kids can be a negative experience.

I respect people who know they don’t want kids and don’t have them. Kids are a huge reseponsibility. I believe children are a blessing, but there are some parents who are not blessings to their children as we can see by all the child abuse going on. I know people who give more thought into what they are wearing than the huge undertaking a child brings along with them, especially after the “aw, they are so cute” stage.
Many people who don’t have children are extremely content. They have other things to fulfill their lives.

I can see more women being happier w/o kids than with. Granted there a LOT of great moms out here however, was it their plan and dream to be a mom? Probably 
for most. There are alot of moms out here who do what they do because they have to and not necessarily because they wanted to and would be happier w/o if the case were different…just my opinion

Me I want kids. It would be great to birth a child, but I’m very open to adoption as well. I”m gonna be 23 this year, and I always thought I’d want to start having my kids by 25, but then I grew up lol (and i’m still growing) I think I’d want ot start having kids at 30+. I’ve been taking care of babies for as long as i can remember (i’m the oldest everything…child, grandchild, etc.), I know I’ll make a great mother…but it can wait. But I don’t think people who don’t have or want kids should be judged. Its their choice, no one knows them better than themselves….and if they don’t want kids, its in their choice, and if there happy, then I’m happy for em.

Congrats on celebrating 13 yrs of marriage and having 3 kids. I can identify. I too know older women who wish they would have had children, or even wish they would have had them while they were younger. I don’t have a problem w/anyone not wanting kids, but usually to date/marry one with kids is not going to change your mind, so don’t pretend you’re ok w/their kids for the sake of marriage. Kids are like pets, they know who they like and don’t like from their first meeting. LOL.

As for the celebs that choose to not have kids, its a part of selfishness on there part. first and foremost, we are here to ensure our species goes on. the beyonces(theres hope for her though) oprahs(gay?) etc etc are too busy trying to rule the world. when they die,you cant take it with you.but having that heir, to ensure your bloodline goes on, is priceless. i have a girl, and i really want a lil boy so my last name(and momma’s) can go on.(no it wont be with baby daddy’s, married or not,he’ll get over it)

Some ppl really don’t want kids, just as some really don’t want to marry. Oprah did deliver a child. Many gay ppl do choose to have kids. Wanda Sykes is gay and has a wife and twins. Rickey Martin is gay and has kids. GOD gives us what we can handle. I know many parents with children who were born premature, autistic, my cousin was allergic to nature when he was a kid. With supportive parents kids can over come anything. Being a parent does not mean being afraid of how much it will difine, or disrupt our life. It’s all in ones thinking how it is measured and how we tackle what may not be the norm in being a parent. To invest in a child (and it’s not all about money)is to invest in their future to one day find out they are graduating from baby food to table food, from Romper Room to a Masters Degree to walking over the broom into marriage. All the in between someone took the time to do for us or saw us do it.
i didnt mean to imply that gays cant have kids, of course that isnt true at all ( i wasnt aware oprah had a kid) i agree, if you know you dont want to be a parent, by all means dont reproduce! alot of people ‘selfishly’ dont want kids (it’ll ruin my figure etc) but who am i to judge. some people have too many kids! the women with 50/11 kids with 50/11 baby daddys on welfare etc etc, its extremes on both ends.

You say adoption scares the hell out of you because you don’t know what you’re getting. Well its more biological children killing their parents in their sleep than it is adopted children. So that’s not a fair statement. What if someone can’t have children and decide to adopt. It could be a whole multitude of reasons why people are not having children. Doesn’t mean they are selfish or don’t like children or they have some void in their life.
I love, love children. But I don’t have any. But there is not this big gap in my life because I don’t. God has filled my life with many blessings, and maybe he will one day bless me with children, but until then I’m definitely happy and content with my life!

I can’t judge someone for choosing to wait to have kids ot choosing to not have kids at all. I’m only 28 and I know I’m not ready to have kids. I’m in the middle of switching careers and I know that this is not the right time in my life. That would be totally irresponsible and selfish of me. So I think those people are choosing to act responsibly. Different strokes, different folks I guess.
