LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh Given Keys to the City

The Miami Heat introduced their new free agent acquisitions, LeBron James (from Cleveland) and Chris Bosh (from Toronto), during a splashy, over-the-top Las Vegas style extravaganza called “HEAT Summer of 2010 Welcome Event” at the American Airlines Arena yesterday.

The team also announced Dwyane Wade’s new 6-year contract. The Super Friends were handed the keys to the city and showered with confetti as they made their grand entrance into the jam packed American Airlines Arena.

The Heat unveiled the new team slogan “YES.WE.DID” — although they haven’t actually done anything yet.

This video is just a little something to make the Cleveland fans smile and take their minds off the fact that their team won’t make the playoffs for the next 5 years.

Team jerseys and t-shirts featuring James’ #6 went on sale at the Miami Heat store yesterday and were quickly snapped up by delirious fans. Though season tickets are sold out, the Heat front office announced they were accepting deposits at $100 per seat just to be placed on a waiting list in case season ticket holders turn in their tickets. Good luck with that though.

Season ticket holders can make a killing by putting their season tickets up for grabs on Craigslist or eBay. Before LeBron announced he would sign to Miami, season ticket prices were available for a measly $3,238.61 per year. Now that price has more than doubled.

Apparently, the Miami Heat only have 3 players for now, since they cleared their roster to make room for the NBA salary cap. But honestly, who doesn’t believe these three guys could beat most NBA teams without any help?

People need to get off Labron’s nuts, no matter what team he had picked he would have still gotten people talking so it doesn’t matter.

Anyways what’s all the hype about, why can’t we focus on something more positive and more focused on education or current events or something, rather than his overrated arse.

I dont think they will win next yr but I do think they will get a few rings in the next 2-4yrs.

Lebron was never going to be able to make everybody happy we all do whats best for us and our families and he should be allowed to do the same.

    Why did Lebron change numbers?

They still aren’t going to win. I’m betting that right now. They WILL NOT win the championship. They better pray all this heavy showing off PAYS OFF. Ha! I’m going to laugh my ass off when these narcissists lose. You thought Lebron was a crybaby before.

Guess Lebron didn’t want to be the next Michael Jordan, now he is like Scottie Pippen to D Wade. Traitor!!

    Daisy says:

All this traitor talk is funny to me cause let me get a better opp I am chucking the decues and movin on as well. Nobody calls the owner a traitor when they cut players each n every year :coffee: I bet patrick ewing wishes he was a traitor w/ a ring. Glad KG moved on and got a ring.

@ Daisy I feel you 100%! The NBA is a buisness and LBJ did exactly what was best for him. Dan Gilbert employed him to do a job, LBJ performed and when he felt that he couldn’t progress he took his services/skills else where…there’s no traitor in that. I’d do just the same with any job.

And SR this commercial was great! Nicole S. played her part well. Loved it!

ay ay ay ay…watch wat u say about patrick lol hehehe

Patrick wouldn’t of left like that though :coffee:

I doubt ewing wishes he had left. It would of been the same if he had joined and/or reggie. It would of been greater if he had beaten them. Oh the heartbreak it was to lose..memories *sigh…but we luv him anyways :)

:cosign: Daisy. Like I told my cousin from Cleveland who was cutting up and cussing Lebron out on fb (like he was really gonna see that ish) this was business. I think people forget the NBA is a business first and he had a better opportunity. If Cleveland wanted to keep him they would’ve got him better supporting players simple as that. I hope Fish goes to Miami too cause even though he ain’t the star without him people are gonna see real quick that Kobe isn’t as great as they think he is cause he played straight garbage in the finals

I don’t think people in Cleveland are upset that he left. I think they are pissed that he made an hour special just to announce he was leaving. There were several free agents available this year, they could have been courting someone else! Instead of banking on “King James” return.

  29. 29
    Shauny says:

@iciaantica BINGO people can say I don’t understand why Cleveland is bitter and get over it but they’re not looking at it from what Cleveland lost. They banked on him coming back so they didn’t really court anyone else but him and Bosh. He crippled them and I think on purpose.

Not only did he tell them he wasn’t coming back on national tv at the same time he told everyone else but he kept them from being able to sing any other big time free agents that were out there this year. So in turn he handicapped not only Cleveland which from what I’ve read (LeBron’s likeness added millions in revenue to a dying city) but he also made sure they wouldn’t even make the playoffs next year. He didn’t tell his teammates either.

I understand people saying he did what was best for him and why they don’t understand why Cleveland is mad but at the same time when you think about what he did to Cleveland and how he went about doing it I don’t know how people are like oh well and are on Cleveland for being mad. It wasn’t just about basketball for them, some people had jobs an businesses because of him and now they wont. That’s why I say give them their time to vent. I can’t knock them

    But that’s just me

The writing was on the wall(did he really need a tv special to say I am staying in Cleveland lol) thats why I dont feel bad for Cleveland and the owner still has more $$$ in the bank than me so what is their to understand or feel sorry about  When players get CUT they have families to worry about and support but they find a way to go on and keep it moving.

That’s what they want yall to think. Lebron sold his soul to the devil, and if you notice, after the national anthem is played, he (lebron) throws up that evil diamond sign and throws up the two hand symbols for 666, and then points his hand upwards.

This is the real reason behind them choosing the number 6 for him. It is also the same exact reason kobe has the number 24, hence, 2+4=6.

They are all in this evil together. Politics, entertainment, sports, institutions, banks, corporations, billionaires, elites, presidents, actors, rappers, and even a number of pastors are all working behind the scenes, behind your backs, doing the will of satan.

Don’t be fooled any longer. Read your Bible and do some research on these things, and pray that God gives you understanding of these things.

Don’t be surprised if someone associated with lebron dies a mysterious death in the near future. All the fame and money he got from selling his soul, comes with a hefty price tag, in which the effects cannot be reversed.

If you had wondered why lebron chose the number ‘ 6 ‘ , that was your spirit trying to tell you something about that number.

I guess all the while he was hanging with jayz, was for initiation purposes, and not because they were trying to get him for their team.

They have given him the fame and money, the next step is the sacrifice to complete the deal.

    Watch and pray.
