Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade and actress Gabrielle Union went public with their relationship at The Summer Groove Comedy Jam in Hollywood, FL yesterday. The couple told the press today that they are officially a couple and that today would be their coming out party.
Pop legend (and Cougar) Janet Jackson was photographed on vacation with her young, wealthy boyfriend, Wissam Al Mana, in Sardinia, Italy. Below is a recent photo of the couple together at a fashion show.
Crime: A Black Woman Dies in Buckhead
Her name is ZaQuavia Kingsberry and she was 33-years-old when she died.
Kingsberry’s mysterious death is making headlines in Atlanta, not because of how she lived but because of where she died: an upscale apartment complex in the tony Buckhead hamlet of Atlanta.
As sad as her story is, it is likely that we never would have heard of ZaQuavia Kingsberry had she been found dead in Bankhead Courts.
According to the AJC, in a story titled “Little information surrounding Buckhead apartment murder,” ZaQuavia Kingsberry was found shot to death in her boyfriend’s Buckhead apartment Wednesday afternoon.
She had been shot two or three times, Atlanta Police Maj. Keith Meadows said. “It was not a random act,” said Carlos Campos, Atlanta police spokesman, to the media and neighbors assembled outside.
The boyfriend’s name has not been released. But according to the AJC, Kingsberry was found in her boyfriend’s fourth-floor apartment at the Gramercy at Buckhead Apartments, which the AJC continuously refers to as “distinctive apartment homes.”
The AJC reporter paid a great a great deal of attention to Kingsberry’s neighbors — especially Caragh Stichter, 24, a young, pretty blond, who busied herself calling other neighbors in the complex to report the incidence of violent urban crime in their midst.
“Your next door neighbor was shot and killed,” she said while on the phone.
“I’ve seen nothing out of the ordinary here,” Stichter told the AJC. “It’s a safe community. You say that it could never happen, but it happened three doors down from me.”
“Everyone is like, ‘We want to break our lease,’” Stichter said.
And that pretty much sums up the story in the AJC. It’s not so much about ZaQuavia’s tragic death as it is about the “distinctive” Buckhead apartment complex where she died — and the upper middle class white residents who are stunned that urban violence has hit so close to home.

Rapper T.I. is writing a book! T.I., real name Clifford Harris Jr., was spotted leaving an office building in NYC yesterday after participating in a meeting with Grand Hustle CEO Jason Geter, right, and others whilst working out details of a book he is in the process of releasing. I wonder if it will be a tell-all book or a book on his life? Isn’t T.I. kinda young to be writing an autobiography?
T.I. was scheduled to fly back to Atlanta last night, where he planned to head straight to Aurum nightclub where AG Entertainment Group’s Alex Gidewon was celebrating his 40th birthday at a private party (more on that later).
In addition to writing a book, Rémy Martin Cognac recently signed T.I. to develop his own line of cognac!

Terius Nash’s Open Letter to Christina Milian
The Dream, real name, Terius Nash, posted an open letter to his estranged wife on his website yesterday.
For the record, I believe this is nothing more than an elaborate publicity stunt orchestrated by The Dream (with the full cooperation of Christina) to boost his record sales.
To date, The Dream’s 3rd album Love King, which dropped June 29, has sold a little over 80,000 CDs — a dismal sales figure when you consider that his previous studio effort, Love vs. Money, sold 151,000 CDs in the first week alone. Love King peaked at #4 on the Billboard charts.

Last night Drizzy closed out his series of videos in Atlanta, Fancy Feat. Swizz Beats and TI. Drake hooked back up with Anthony Mandler again to recapture some of that Over magic and they gotta another visual banger on their hands. It was truly a family affair as the whole Young Money Fam was in the Building people brought they kids out and even TI had his on set as well. Trey Songz and several industry insiders stopped thru to bare witness.The Vibe was just right. I cant release any photos from the actual video till after the video drops but believe me when I tell ya that’s its been a min since it was done like this so until then just enjoy these from the set between scene.

Pink Takes a Tumble Offstage During a Concert in Germany
Midway through her concert in Nuremberg, Germany last night, pop star Pink took a tumble off stage when her harness failed to be secured properly.
When the news first broke last night that Pink fell from her harness, many of us imagined her thrilling acrobat performance during the 2010 Grammys when she soared effortlessly in the air in a harness about 20 feet off the stage.
But a fan video shot at last night’s concert tells a different story: Pink didn’t even get two feet off the stage last night. Her harness wasn’t secured properly and instead of soaring above the audience Peter Pan style, she was dragged off the left side of the stage and into a barricade.
