Premiere: Nicki Minaj – Your Love
The music video for rapper Nicki Minaj’s infectious tune “Your Love” premiered early this morning.
I didn’t bother to watch it because something about walking cartoons who demand to be taken seriously irks me. Watch the vid and tell me what you think.

Its alright, not a big Nicki fan but she is growing on me. I like the use of Annie Lennox’s “No More I Love You’s” for the chorus/background music.

I watched it several times because I figured I must have blinked or something. Surely Nicki would realize what her fans wanted to see. Sadly, she neglected this very important and artistic element. This is a travesty and an insult to the Rap Video genre not to include the most important aspect.

The video is cute, very low budget and simple. I liked the semi storyline and the chance we were able to see Nicki ‘acting’. She looked really pretty and that man was some eye candy. I liked it. Go Nicki
Nikki has grown on me…she has skills outside of the gimmicks, but she’s getting her money stacked her way. Can’t hate on that. She cracks me up though!
I like less barbie Nicki and this vid is a step in the right direction and her verse on Bottoms Up – her flow & delivery = fire. This is an improvement over Massive Attack. Compare her to herself, not to Kim.

@MxThickness – I liked the song before the raekwon/ghostface line .. I had it on my BB for months and then I heard it was on the radio and heard the finished version.
The video and song just don’t go together. It looks like they shot it all in one place. She looks nice and her makeup is very pretty.

Somebody advising her wrong, or not at all. She is not a Geisha and the video looks low budget. They couldn’t afford CGI so they used bed sheets and a fan. Peep the end when she’s bleeding sheets, you can see it being pulled across the floor. Ugg, try again Nicki.

She is a pretty girl. I like her. The video is good she carried it well. I guess she doesn’t have a big budget yet. She is just starting out on an independent level. She did well rising to the top of the rap game as a female artist is and extremely challanging task.
