Witness: Chris Brown Used Eye Drops to Fake Cry at BET Awards

According to US magazine, convicted woman beater Chris Brown used eye drops immediately before he took to the stage during the 2010 BET Awards to perform a teary-eyed tribute to Michael Jackson.
Brown’s tears failed to convince his critics in the mainstream media, which is who he needs in his back pocket if he hopes to mount a comeback.
Crocodile tears?
Chris Brown caused a lot of chatter at the BET Awards Sunday when he broke down in tears during a Michael Jackson tribute.
An insider tells UsMagazine.com the crying was fake.
Before he took the stage to belt out “Man in the Mirror,” a backstage source tells Us one of Brown’s bodyguards gave the singer, 21, tear-inducing eye drops.
Brown’s rep denies it, telling Us that this account is “completely untrue.” But the witness says Brown definitely used drops.
The Stans who think Brown made a comeback after his “triumphant” BET Awards PR stunt are the same ones who thought he was never gone in the first place.

I don’t believe that he used eye-drops, but I DO believe that the tears weren’t all that genuine–at least when it came to MJ. If he used tears inducing eyedrops, he would’ve been crying throughout the entire dance routine which he wasn’t…if they can prove there were tears from he started dancing to man in the mirror…then I would believe it.

I think his tears were real and he was overcome because a) the audience was cheering for him b) he was paying tribute to MJ, his idol and 3) he was singnig “Man in the Mirror” and how he was going to make a change and all the bad things that happened over a year ago. Young men don’t cry on national tv doing a song. He was more likely to lose cool points with other guys. Maybe he finds it hard to control his emotions whether they are good, bad or whatever.

I totally agree…he’s also an actor, but nowhere near that good…I think he was overwhelmed with emotion because he prolly never thought the day would come again that he’d be performing at an awards show…let alone tributing MJ…Breezy was overwhelmed is all!

@Val there was nothing raunchy about Akey’s act, have you seen what usually passes as talent, dancing and fashion at the BET awards or half these damn concerts and you call that raunchy? And as far as Chris, whether you believe the tears were real or not, he gave a great performance and although he was too emotional to finish he had a standing ovation, people in the audience in tears, people at home in tears (including myself) and deserved every accolade, applause and good favor that comes from it. They printed the WORSE MJ stories, have been sued countless times by celebs for printing lies and can not be trusted or cited in anything.
