Haiti Election Council Rejects Wyclef Jean’s Presidency Bid
In an interview with the Muslim network Al Jazeera, Wyclef Jean, who had high hopes of running for president of Haiti despite the fact that he’s not a resident of the island, said Haitians “don’t need a local president, I think we need a global president, someone that can travel.” 
Wyclef is so clueless that his statement would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.
This evening the election council in Haiti rejected Wyclef’s bid for presidency on the grounds that he has not lived in Haiti for over 5 years. Duh…
Wyclef broke the news on his Twitter page tonight.
Only a moron would think he could run for president of a country that he is not even a resident of.
Maybe Wyclef can run for president of the United States in 2012 (or sooner if Obama is impeached).

LOL. Just saw what I just typed. The grand woke up. You don’t have to live in the same city to rep. but it makes sense to live in the same Country.

I just heard on the news this morning that the council had put off any decision until Friday and that a person wishing to run for president has to reside in Haiti for 5 years, however Wyclef’s lawyer is saying that he has been paying his taxes and should be eligible to run. Idk, which story is the truth?

Hello All. Not many countries nor individuals have ever really cared about Haiti. Before this devastating earthquake, who ever aspired to vacation in Haiti or visit Haiti on gp? That said, perhaps Wyclef could bring prosperity to this nation of beautiful black people? Even on a small scale, it would be something. For the record, only about 10% of the monies pledged around the world have been sent to Haiti, so sad. Now we have Pakistan suffering from the worse disaster in their history. We are so blessed in America and most of us don’t even know it! Peace.

Well one has to admire his ambitions
Last night I read on a site that he was rejected, but since it was not a reputable site I went to all the bigger news sites to confirm. I didn’t find it as the results had not come out yet, but what I did find was more Wyclef dirt. He is truly the devil for what he has done with that Yele charity. Thank the Lord I didn’t give him money to squander after the earthquake (even thought it’s looking like the Red Cross wound up squandering my few dollars after all). At this point there is no way he could convince me that he is an honorable man. But if he’d even try he’d have to start by moving to Haiti and living there for the required 5 years before he tried to run again. But that’s alright, the IRS is gonna make him pay in spades. Dirty bastard.

What is he talking about all dignatiers can travel.. unless he’s throwing geers @ a particular candiate….. I think he’s allowing his emotions to get the best of him People like Wyclef response/react on impluse. Not only is that a potion for diaster ,in my book that my friend deem in a poor choice for President in Hiati or anywhere.
