Kanye West premieres 90-second ‘Painting’ for POWER

If you waited with heated anticipated for the world premiere of Kanye West’s over ambitious video treatment for his track “Power”, you were among the millions who were hoodwinked and bamboozled by this narcissist.

He said it was a painting, didn’t he?

Last night I was on the phone with a friend as the video premiered on MTV at 11:01 PM. My friend considers himself an unapologetic fan of the troubled producer/rapper.

“Wow. This is hawt!,” he exclaimed excitedly as the strains from the opening seconds of the video emerged from his television in the background.

“Are you watching this? It’s incredible!” he squealed with delight. “Um, no,” I responded. Then he fell silent until about a minute later when I heard him say, “What happened?”

“What happened?” I echoed into the phone.

“It went off!” he answered. “What are you seeing now?” I asked. “Some other ni**as video,” he responded dejectedly.

“Maybe that was just the trailer,” he hoped. But I reminded him that the full video was scheduled to premiere at 11 PM and it was now 11:04 PM.

I couldn’t stop laughing!

This ish is really got me thinking about the World Order and all the demonic shyt thats about to happen.

This is wayyy to much for me. I will not be watching this video. Things are getting very eerie especially with reading all of the new world order and the devilish images in music videos these days. I agree with ATL_Reese on this one this is not art.

It’s classical, neo-classical, renaissance, but most likely, baroque inspired. Were those art pieces done by Reubens and Caravaggio and Bernini ‘demonic’??? How is it demonic to paint pictures (or in Kanye’s case to emulate pictures) of angels and demons and pagan Gods and Christian long sufferers, etc. It’s great imagery; it’s symbolism. Why come so soon with the tired ‘devil-worshipping’ schtick? He’s emulating a work of art and this video or moving painting is actually quite beautiful.

Uh, yeah. I’m all for creativity but this clip just doesn’t sit well with my spirit. And were they trying to cut of his head? I need to see the video in its entirety to tell you all of what I’m thinking. Either way, the song “Power” is hot to me. :coffee:

  13. 13

I wish people would look beyond the surface and stop buying into all the Illuminati stuff

If you look in the painting…it’s like he’s descending from heaven and entering into hell…The song says “no one man should have all that power”…I feel like he’s saying that he was overwhelmed with the lifestyle and all the “power” it gave him…he didn’t make the right choices…he slipped into a dark place. :shrugs:

People thought Paul Gauguin’s paintings were crude and uninspired..they told him he made a mockery of art… ;)

Demonic? I must of missed that? It’s different but not demonic. Maybe some of you all should get to know God a little better before you start calling something demonic? What makes you think it is demonic? What makes you think he thinks he’s God?

People always seem to dismiss what they don’t understand. Doesn’t seem demonic to me. I think it’s depicting all the evil that tries to attack him in the world. It also appears to be an angel in front of him. Maybe she’s protecting him from the demons in the “painting”. The video is different and very creative. I won’t just dismiss it as “demonic” or “evil” until I really know what’s going on.

@madame_zenobia- and classical work of art can’t be demonic? :/ The Devil didn’t just pop up in 2010, he’s been around since the beggining of time and influencing since the beginning of time. Furthermore, just because someone paints angelic beings in a painting means nothing. The bible says that when Satan was kicked out of Heaven he took a 1/3 of the angels with him. Don’t be fooled by these things you see that APPEAR to be of God. Lastly, the bible says that Satan transforms himself into an “Angel of Light.” Don’t get it twisted.

Now back to the video- While Kanye was in hibernation, he was preparing to take it to another level and not in a good way. The video speaks for itself. He’s clearly working his way up the Devil’s ladder, and everyone can see it.

    Marco Brambilla potrait is the catalysit for the video..the image of a still West, the camera pulls away to reveal women, some as saints and some as sinners. The video has religious references;

Brambilla, an Italian-born Canadian artist and filmmaker who works in the United States said “the rapper admired his previous efforts, which combined sexual overtones with religious imagery.”

I personally don’t believe he is a devil worshiper but I could be wrong. Of course everyone’s perspective may differ or be in agreement, I don’t think nothing there is anything wrong with that. If your spirit is telling you something is wrong with Kanye and/or this video there is absolutely nothing wrong with that and if you feel there is nothing demonic about this video there is nothing wrong with either.

I know this may seem not very Christian like but my concern is not worried about what celebs are devil worshipers. I know who I serve and my focus/teachings/followings of getting to heaven is on my own household!!!

To call someone’s opinion of something ignorant(lack of knowledge), is to me, quite disrespectful. Just because I find the video dark, does not mean that I have not read, or understood the Bible. I have read it, and I understand it very well. We just have differences of opinions. You see it one way, and I see it another. No big deal. Just adults who see things differently. You know, real life shyt. We are human, not sheep, so we are going to think seperately, as opposed to as a whole. Doesn’t mean I’m right, doesn’t mean you’re wrong. We’ll never really know the total truth until we meet Him anyway. Until then…it’s just a blog. It ain’t that serious.

    OFF THIS TOPIC:
    kanye west video:

From my research, this video could possibly be hinting to something to come concerning him in the near future:

    1. The general look and feel of the video is ” Dreamy ” , so I assume this must have been a dream that felt very real to him. Lady Gaga herself said she has these weird dreams. She admits to using her dreams for her concerts ( which most of you who are still spiritually blind like to call it ” CREATIVE ART ”

    2. The pillars in the back may possibly represent Solomon’s Temple pillars Jachin & Boaz. The pillars were made of brass.

    3. kanye is dressed in all black ( ” all black everything ” ). Black is dark, meaning no light, and representing evil.

    4. kanye is wearing a heavy chain around his neck, with the face of an idol attached to the chain which may possibly mean he is a slave to that idol, and since he is clothed in black, evil has taken over his body.

    5. kanye has a sinister look on his face. He might be possessed, or under some kind of mind control. The first verse in his lyrics say ” I’m living in the 21st century, and doing something mean to it.”

    Will be continued…..

So I watched the video “painting” and was all “whatever Kanye it would have actually been thoughtful had it not been the work of a malignant narcissist who, while having a knack for knowing how to appear ‘innovative and someone alt,’ is utterly oblivious to the depth of symbolism in art and only emulates real creativity for the $ake of being seen as edgy and relevant” but then I got to the comments section and read a bunch of stuff that actually makes Kanye look somewhat intelligent. You guys with your ridiculous Illuminati/devil worship comments sound like a group of primitive religious fanatics. I doubt most of the people who complained about the symbolism have the slightest clue as to what the “Illuminati” [who may or may not even exist] is about, much less enough knowledge to comprehend its nature [which may or may not even exist either]. How come when white artists make creepy ass videos with actual satanic symbolism no one gets up in arms but when a black artist uses very mild dark imagery, suddenly he is the member of a conspiracy and/or a devil worshiper?

Atleast artists like Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails explicitly put it out what their belief system is.
