Lauren London Cast as Bow Wow’s Love Interest in Tyler Perry Film

Lil Wayne’s other baby mama, Lauren London, has been cast as Bow Wow’s love interest in Tyler Perry’s upcoming film, “Madea’s Big Happy Family”.

This news dashes the hopes of DL men everywhere who assumed Bow Wow would play a gay character — especially since ~~teh ghey~~ Old Spice pitchman, Isaiah Mustafa, is aslo cast in the flick.

“Madea’s Big Happy Family” is set to hit movie theaters 2011. Bow Wow currently stars in “Lottery Ticket”, which premieres in theaters on August 20th.

Not that I’m talking about bow wow and lauren london specifically….but to me it does not seem like tyler perry even holds auditions. He just casts folks in his movies. Well I’m glad he is keep us employed at least. The only thing I want is for him to get some better writing, something more than the most obvious plots and endings. He has built his empire now its time to do better. #my2cents

Lauren and Shad as a couple is just about as unbelieveable as Queen (Kang) Latifah in any hetrosexual role she has ever played. But…ummm..okay.

Didn’t Lauren London have a care and name for herself before having Wayne’s baby? So why is she referred to as Lil wayne’s 4th baby mama….let it go!

@cheeks…I agree his writing could be better. It seems it’s all the same because he does all the writing I believe. ONe end I understand he keeps the money, royalties and creative license. On the other hand, his point of view and perspectives are limited.

At one point I was tired of the same old movies that target African AMericans. We only saw Morris Chestnut and Vivica (i’m a mess) Fox, Nia Long, Lorenz Tate. Dayum I miss those black movie days. Can I get a Love Jones. The movie industry plummeted but the black movie industry is non-existent. I’m over Tyler Perry. Why did I get married was funny but that’s about it. I refuse to pay for another movie where the main character is him dressed as a old women. I’m over Madea.

I know we are all entitled to our opinions, but at least Tyler’s movies/plays have some kind of message, albeit, the same formula, but, for the most part, positive. He’s putting black actors/actresses to work, and his stuff is better than 90% of the coonery seen on TV and/or movies people tune into on a daily basis. He has his own studio as well. What other black industry mogul is doing that? With all the money they have, I wonder why they don’t get together and do more for black cinema.

Also, men have been dressing up like females since Flip Wilson, yet I’ve never heard such criticism about them.

JMO and no shade.

@Therapist and @KrayZ I’m not his biggest fan but I respect his hustle and the fact that he’s keeping black actors/actresses working so he can keep it up for as long as he is able. I wish he would branch out and try new things with other black writers but at least he’s doing something. I’ve also wondered a million times why Black hollywood doesn’t pool money and resources to do something really big that will benefit them all

@KrayZ , I have heard criticism about men dressing as women before him. Its along the lines of why do our men have to degrade themselves by dressing as females in order to have success but our men aren’t the only ones who’ve gone drag for a comedic role.

As far as the topic: Lauren London is beautiful and I’m glad she’s working again. I also respect that she hasn’t been peddling her baby photos around. And Bow Wow isn’t the worst actor, truth be told i’d rather him act than rap plus he’s making his own money legally and his roles are always family friendly and positive which we need more of in the entertainment industry. I hate that there are rarely movies I can take the whole family to see with an all black cast

i agree but i think it’s time for him to evolve. you have to admit that he also dabbles in coonery also. i was proud when spike did “inside man” because he really branched out and did a great job with it.

I don’t have a problem with him dressing up it’s just the same sameness that’s bothering me. Be the artist that you are and give the public something different. You’ve made alot of money off of Madea it may be time to let her RIP.

I actually stopped reading alot of books by black authors because of the same thing. There’s more to black life besides my man left me with 5 kids and now i’m on the welfare and almost homeless and my momma is a crack head but here comes this fine ass choclate brother to rush in and save me and my 5 fatherless black kids.
