Mother of Lorenzen Wright’s Kids Threatened to Have Him ‘F’d Up’
According to online reports, the mother of slain former Atlanta Hawks player Lorenzen Wright threatened him if she caught him with other women.
The former personal assistant, Wendy Wilson, told ABC24-WPTY that Sherra Wright was recorded saying “things like if she caught him with anyone else, she’d have him ‘F’d up’ or whatever,” according to an article posted on myeyewitnessnews.com, a website for the ABC affiliate.
Wilson said she filed a report with Memphis police because she felt the recorded conversations were “threatening.” She said Lorenzen Wright asked her to keep the tape, adding “he wouldn’t have asked me to keep them if he didn’t think he’d need them someday.” Read More…
Lorenzen Wright’s bullet riddled body was found in a Southeast Memphis field on Wednesday, July 28, not far from his mother’s home. He had been missing for 9 days.
Sherra Wright’s divorce attorney, Gail Mathes, told police Wright was herself threatened six weeks before her ex-husband was gunned down by unknown assailant.
Mathes said three armed men showed up at Wright’s door demanding to see her ex-husband. She said the men threatened Wright and her family if she reported them to the police. Wright said the three men wore sport jackets which they opened to reveal guns in their waistbands.
According to online reports, Wright arrived in Memphis unexpectedly on July 18, with his “girlfriend” in tow.
The alleged girlfriend, Alexis Bradley, posted photos of herself with Wright on her Facebook page after his body was discovered.
A family friend told Sportscasm.com that Lorenzen Wright planned to remove his children from his ex-wife’s home and relocate them to Atlanta on the day he was killed, because she was addicted to crack cocaine.
Lorenzen Wright adored and doted on his kids — especially Loren, his favorite. According to cell phone records, Loren was the last person he spoke to the night he died. He called Loren from inside the house. He was on the first floor and she was upstairs in her bedroom.
Ne-Yo ‘Terrified’ of Becoming a Dad
Singer/songwriter Ne-Yo says he fears becoming a dad for the first time. I didn’t even know he was married!
Rapper Ne-Yo has admitted he is ‘terrified’ of becoming a dad. The 31 year-old will become a father in January when his wife Monyetta Shaw gives birth to their first child.
He told CNN: ‘I’m terrified. I’m gonna be all the way honest. I’ve never seen myself as a father. [But] I knew eventually I would get married and have kids and all of that stuff.’
However, the rapper added that he hopes to teach his child ‘the value of a dollar’, as he knows his child will have a privileged upbringing. Source

Pop icon Janet Jackson continues to flaunt her new boyfriend in Jermaine Dupri’s face. The lovey dovey couple were spotted vacationing in Sardinia, Italy over the weekend. Janet’s new man is a billionaire. I bet Janet loves the fact that she no longer has to foot the bill for her vacations. Remember that time when Janet had to hand over her credit card for Jermaine’s eye laser surgery because he supposedly forgot his wallet? How embarrassing.
Someone should explain to pop singer Seal that this is not how you hold a 9 mos. old baby. Seal and his wife Heidi Klum took their children Leni, 6, Henry, 4, Johan, 4, and baby, Lou (9 months) out for ice-cream and a ride on the merry-go-round.
Publicity stunts only work if people care. Maybe that’s why reality TV personality NeNe Leakes and her chronically unemployed husband, Greg Leakes, gave up lying about their supposedly failed marriage. The couple were seen relaxing at poolside together in Miami yesterday. So much for that PR stunt that no one really cared about anyway.
Correction: Monica and Maino Are Just Good Friends
Earlier today I told you that Monica and rapper Maino were officially an item. This information came from an employee of Atlantic Records publicity department named Ashley Kalmanowitz.
Apparently, Ashley took it upon herself to deliberately deceive this blog and others by sending the photos of Maino and Monica under false pretenses. This was a publicity stunt gone wrong.
Monica attempted to reach out to me personally today to clear up this matter, but, unfortunately, we played phone tag all day. Monica is highly upset and she wants Sandrarose.com readers to know the truth.
Maino and Monica have been friends for over 10 years and they are not dating. A source who asked not to be identified, confirmed that Monica is dating Shannon Brown of the LA Lakers (more on that later).

New Couple Alert: Monica and Maino Are Official!
R&B diva Monica and rapper Maino are officially a couple! The two cuddled together at Tiny and T.I.’s wedding in Miami on Saturday. Of course I broke the news of the new couple first on Sandrarose.com, but as usual, you kids have no confidence in your auntie when I tell you something!
Monica and her longtime boyfriend, rapper Rocko, broke up earlier this year. The couple have two beautiful children.

On Saturday, King Plow Arts Center in Atlanta hosted the 1st Annual ONE Music Fest, bringing together such diverse acts as Common, center, Goapele, left, Joi, right, and De La Soul, not pictured.
As you’ve probably heard by now, rapper Common and tennis superstar Serena Williams have officially split. Once the word spread around the Music Fest that Common was a single man, the ladies swarmed him like bees on honey!
One particularly annoying pest was Usher’s ex-wife and baby mama Tameka Foster, who looks like she’s picked up a lot of weight.

Celebs Out & About: Ludacris and Sammie
Those of you who say I never post anything positive on my blog will probably ignore this post as you always do.
Atlanta City Councilmember Keisha Lance Bottoms partnered with R&B singer Sammie, Ludacris, Future Foundation and Greenbriar Mall for a Back to School Rally on July 31st in the Greenbriar Mall parking lot.
I spent a couple of hours in the parking lot at Greenbrier on Saturday, and I was amazed at the turnout. There were hundreds of kids at the Back To School rally. It was beautiful to see the community come out to support the children. The children were well behaved and orderly as they lined up to receive backpacks as well as school supplies and even new fire hats from the fire department!
I LOVE Greenbrier mall for the shopping and the sales. Jimmy Jazz is my spot!
