Monica Did Not Steal Shannon
On Friday, I received a ton of emails from readers asking about R&B singer Monica stealing Lakers guard Shannon Brown from another woman. I didn’t know Brown was married.
In fact he’s not married. Nor was he in a relationship with anyone when he met and wooed Monica. Just because a man has a child with a groupie does not mean he’s engaged to said groupie.
Brown made a mistake by sleeping with a Laker groupie and impregnating her. But now he’s taking responsibility for his youthful indiscretions. Brown is paying his child support and he is involved in the child’s life.
Now he has met the woman of his dreams and he knows what love is. Of course the groupie is butt hurt and now she’s running to the blogs with her lies. By the way, these are my words and no one else’s.
So can we let these rumors die?
Brown responded to the allegations on his Twitter page:
“I write this to set the record straight. Media deception makes unfair and false reports of the truth, and it does not bring out the best in ANYONE. Monica is my girlfriend, confidant and a strong successful women that has been though a lot herself but she is in no way, a home wrecker. As a parent, I understand that parenting requires a partnership with my sons mother however the relationship between us fizzled a long time ago. Thus, never leading up to seven years, engagement or even talks of marriage. As parents, we have to continue to raise our son, and as individuals we both deserve happiness.” Thank you for the support and God Bless!

Waka, as well as a few other Mizay Entertainment artists decided to pass out ice cold water to the homeless in downtown Atlanta last week, all whom were thankful to the rapper and his crew being that temperatures were in the high 90′s. Celebs Out About: T.I., Tiny, Beyonce, Jay Z, Ciara, 50 Cent
As you know, I sometimes take weekends off to recharge my batteries. That stil didn’t stop my loyal readers from emailing me all weekend about Ciara and 50 Cent leaving some hotel in NY. So what if they were staying at the same hotel??? That doesn’t mean he’s knocking her down every night. Just to prove it I called the hotel and made an inquiry. Sure enough, they were staying on different floors! I’m told that this isn’t the first time Ciara has checked into Fiddy’s hotel. At this point in her career she needs him more than he needs her. Use your brains kids.
On the other hand, two people who don’t have to pretend they are a couple are rapper T.I. and his adorable wife Tiny. The lovebirds were spotted at LAX over the weekend. As you know, Tiny travels with her man everywhere he goes. He never lets her out of his sight! That’s true love right there! By the way, the live drawing for the Takers tickets will be tomorrow right here on Sandrarose.com! A celebrity will be doing the drawing. I’m told that T.I. himself might be doing the drawing but I can’t make any promises. So stay tuned to see who it is!

According to Nigel D. of Real Talk NY blog, rapper Fabolous’ “Lights Out” video was shot at club Greenhouse in NYC on Saturday. “Lights Out,” will be on Fabolous’ There Is No Competition 2 EP, dropping August 31st. The video was directed by Aristotle.
As you can see, there wasn’t much to write home about from the set
