OBAMA GOES TO CHURCH

US president Barack Hussein Obama attended church services with the First family this morning.

This news is significant because Obama hasn’t attended a church regularly since he took office in January, 2009.

Mind you, the church is directly across the street from the White House, yet Obama and his family attended services there for only the first time today.

No doubt, this publicity stunt was staged today as a result of growing public sentiment that Barack Obama is an undercover Muslim.

According to Drudgereport.com:

The first family left the White House on foot this morning for the 9am choral holy eucharist service and sermon at St John’s Church Lafayette Square.

The Obamas walked out of the residence at 8.49am and crossed the park to the nearby Episcopal church.

The president was wearing a dark suit and held Sasha Obama’s hand. She was wearing a blue dress and cream cardigan. Michelle and Malia Obama were wearing cream-colored dresses.

Lafayette Park and Pennsylvania Avenue in front of White House were closed to the public.

For those of you who say it is complicated for the Obamas to attend a church service — I guess Obama proved you wrong!

It couldn’t be that complicated if the Obamas walked over there this morning.

The Obamas were members of the controversial Rev. Wright’s church in Chicago for many years. Wright’s church has strong ties to the Minister Farakhan who was (and still is) a neighbor of Obama’s. Other church goers don’t recall Obama attending regular services at Wright’s church either.

Drudge didn’t indicate what the service was about this morning, but today’s word is Luke 16:1-13, which ends ‘You cannot serve God and wealth.’

Sandra only you can find something wrong with going to church. I seem to recall them attending church before today. This is not their first time. There are a lot of people who call themselves christians who don’t attend church regularly.There are a lot of other ways to get the word(bible) without attending a church(a building). This is the world of new modern technology.

yea.. he is a christian and just like millions of other americans – he goes to church! furthermore, why are u not talking about the war in Afghanistan, the high unemployment rate in the black community, the high aids rate in the black community etc. so again – why is this news?

Sandra I’m a Christian and haven’t been to church in months for various reasons but I pray, read the Word and believe God understands. Plenty of evil people go to church EVERY sunday and yet still truly worship and praise Him less than I do. You don’t know what’s in this man’s heart, what he does in his private time. Not to mention they had to close down TWO streets just for them to simply walk across the street. Come on now Sandra you’re better than this and you know it

On another note though they are a truly beautiful family and an excellent representation of black love and family

Actually Sandra, can you ask someone where I can find those little blue shoes Sasha is wearing? I want them for my daughters. They are absolutely adorable and completely age appropriate (unlike so many shoes and clothes made for little girls nowadays)

1. Yes this country was founded on Christain principles but it is also a fact that It’s a free country and you can practice whatever religion you want to. Not to mention the BIBLE SAYS that God forces NO ONE to follow him. That is decision YOU AND YOU ALONE must make. So God allows this freedom as well.

2. Unemployment is high now BUT IT WAS IN TERRIBLE CONDITION WHEN HE TOOK OVER. You can’t throw somebody into a train wreck and expect them to have it cleaned up in a day. Take this example, How long does it take to get into a car accident? A few seconds? But how long does it take to recover from a a broken leg from that accident? How easy is it to get into to debt? Now tell me how painful and extremely hard it is to get out?

POINT BEING IT TAKES LONGER TO FIX SOMETHING THAN IT DOES TO GET INTO IT SO PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE AND SIT DOWN!

3.Mid-Term Elections HAVE NOTHING to do with him going to church or being a Christain. He has confessed WITH HIS OWN MOUTHE SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE that he is a Christain. If he confesses this with his mouth who are WE TO CHALLENGE THAT???? And as I always say, “goin to Church doesn’t make you a Christian anymore than standing in a garage makes you a car”!

4. Downfall? Yeah that’s the same thing they said when he was elected too. They said there was no way he was going to win, AND HE DID. So we shall see…

I will tell you this thing about our people. We don’t attend churches we don’t feel comfortable. He may not get spiritually feed when he goes there. He has spiritual advisors (Pastors) who he speaks to on a regular basis. Church attendance doesn’t get you into heaven. They way you live your life does!

Malia is really tall! Her mother is 6 feet and has on heels and Malia has on flats and they look about three inches apart. I love tall women, they’re so regal (if they stand up straight, that is).
