This email is in response to your post regarding Jennifer Hudson; yes she seems like a wonderful Mother and you’re right about LaLa who is hardly ever seen with her son. However, Solange is a great mother to be so young, but please add Monica to your list of mothers who need to be more like Jennifer. Instead of Monica “Vacationing” or better yet, being a hood rat, she should be looking after her TWO KIDS.

Is she coming out with an album or a reality show soon because she’s on the blogs way to much just because she’s dating (and when I say dating, I mean screwing) a basketball player? Lets be real, Shannon is a professional basketball player that is trying to get his brand out there. He wants a shoe [contract] and a fan base like LeBron and Kobe, so why not screw a singer to get the attention he needs. However, if you ask me, he could have used a better known celeb to do that.

FOR THE RECORD like her or not SOLANGE is a very good SINGLE mother. Not only was she a teen mom and now a ex wife, she has done very good raising her son who is extremely ARTICULATE and well balanced. Solange constantly tweets and takes photo ops with her child as well. Alot of times we only see what Sandra Rose post and it looks like a lot of partying and appearances being made continuously. Often times her pictures are days/weeks old and combined to seem as if these same people are out and aboutr religiously 24/7.

Ok so I think he was saying that if she’s gonna call out other celebs for being a bad mother based off how often they are photographed with their kids then she needs to call out Monica too… that part I do agree with now he went further with his personal opinion of her but as far as the double standard of Sandra saying one person is wrong for something her favs do also, and we have all said something about that. Funny how everyone is quick to judge someone else about their life. All mothers need some type of personal life also. I feel Monica is a wonderful mother whom her son’s adore. Taking some time out for yourself is not a bad thing. I also feel that way about LaLa. Her son is of age of a “school kid” , so he may be at school while you see Lala out for lunch. I don’t see a problem with not wanting to have your children out with all those pictures being taken of them and people crowding around.

I’m not even a HUGE Monica fan, but I will come to her defense. She is a great mother. She always has her boys with her. I follow her on TWITTER and she tweets about her boys all the time. The children are well. Work is….work. Thankful for my job God knows I am but I think I’m going to look for something a bit more challenging. Some days I feel I’ve mastered the ins and outs of everything. I can do this job in my sleep if I wanted to. But it’s a comfy spot to be in considering I’m back in school. Regarding you going back to school, I say go for it. From what I know about you so far, your husband is very supportive! It will be hard getting into the swing of things but once you find your rhythm, you’ll be fine. Would you consider an online program? With you having a young child at home, that may be best for you. Just a suggestion…..

Just saw your other post, you’re back in school?! What’s your major! Do that! And I know what you mean, who wants to go into working not feeling passionate about what they’re doing?!!

I’m actually in school now, I started St. Joseph’s Master and Teacher Certification online program last year. It’s been a lot of work, especially with the pregnancy and newborn. I had to deal with my pregnant hormones while observing these bad behind high schoolers. I took this semester off so I’ve been contemplating working but I don’t know if I’ll be able to pull off working and school in the spring so I may just lay low….having small kids makes things so much more difficult!

AM I know but imo that’s the most obvious example of her biasness cause when she was calling out names yesterday she should have called out theirs too. Plus the post on here where she mentioned the contest was edited to remove all traces of it ever being mentioned. I went back thinking my mind was playing tricks on me and it was gone but the comments still had references to the contest that’s what really made me say something wasn’t right. I think Monica wants the career she should have and her marketing team is making certain moves/announcements and press releases to make sure she gets more publicity and is more recognizable. Nothing wrong with that cause its her job but I don’t think this began as a regular ‘we met and liked each other’ relationship

Isn’t Monica on tour? Isn’t she always tweeting that the boys are right there with her? I’m sure she doesn’t see her boo often enough for it to be interfering with her parenting. As for LaLa, we don’t know how much she spends with her son either. None of the pap pics we see are at these people’s homes. They are out and about. It is much easier and faster to run errands without the kids. Personally I don’t know how Jennifer stay with that baby on her hip at all times.

@rjk8 well I’ve been reading this site for 3 years now (Tiny was pregnant with the baby when I started coming here) and commenting for awhile and I do know that you like to pop in give a usually negative opinion and pop back out so yes you’ve been here awhile I agree but so have others who haven’t called him out on his race and I’m cursed with being able to remember almost everything… the fact that he is an asshole, yes, his ignorant assessments of women, definitely but not his race. He’s been called a lesbian, a female, I said he looks like Alf, ugly, fat pretty much some of everything but white boy typing ebonics And I’ve seen him post on other blogs and its generally the same. I’m not his biggest fan but if you’re gonna say he’s a white boy calling us all n×ggas please back it up. Let cut and paste or google be your friend, it only takes a few minute, and give us something otherwise it appears you’re just starting pointless arguments and drama on an otherwise peaceful day (as rare as those are) on SR.

So a reader sends in an email disrespecting Monica and everyone is up in arms posting comments to a person who obviously can’t defend them self. Yet when a poster does the same thing in the same post they are defended when they are called out *scratches head*

Crza its the source of the accusation (at least for me) otherwise I would be lurking and laughing although I don’t really believe it. Y’all know I hate personal attacks on stuff like looks, size, race, religion and all that but if you’re gonna say something about someone at least know what you’re talking about. Just like when he/she called me fat for defending that chicks size, you’ve seen my pic, I’m nowhere near even thick, but it just assumed I was and ran with it which is what’s being done here imo. Apparently this guy thinks women can’t be more than mothers. If he had relied on logic before he sent that ridiculous email, he’d had known that Monica’s boys are quite young,one is in school, and considering her demanding schedule, traveling with her is pretty much out of the question. One thing that Monica learned VERY quickly is how to be a GREAT mom. Heck I wish she’d invest as much interest, as she does being a mother, in her music.

Keep doing what you’re doing Monica, because you’re doing a GREAT job with those boys.
