I don’t spend a lot of time on Twitter.com. So I had no idea that my friend, R&B Diva Monica, responded to my earlier post on her Twitter page.

I only became aware of Mo’s tweets when one of her family members called me on the phone saying I “baited Monica” with my post.

First of all, anyone with eyes can see how much Monica cherishes, loves and cares for her children. I posted that email in response to a dare, not because I was baiting Mo.

There was no need for Mo to respond because her steps are ordered and she is living her life accordingly.

I LOVE the way Monica always gets her point across in such a nice way. I could never be a celebrity because you have to try your best not to lash out at people when you get mad and I would not be able to always do that. But umm…a 5 yr old in 2nd grade…really??? Wow, thats wonderful.

One think I can say about Monica…she is always a class act. I know people are always commenting on her tattoos..I personally don’t like them either….but she always seems to be such a positive person, and I applaud her for that.

As far as her not commenting….I think it’s got to be hard to be in the public eye and the victim of constant scrutany and NEVER say anything in response.

I wish Monica wouldn’t respond and go in-depth trying to explain herself EVERY time something negative is said about her. Sandra…. has left open doors many times about Monica that she would never say herself. example: Rocko releasing a statment saying they broke up october 2009, when sandra knows monica released a stament right before her album release (hmmmmm)in the SPRING OF 2010 that her and rocko THEN broke up…

I think just because Monica took the time to comment doesn’t make her hood or confrontational. Everyone says she should have just let it go and move on….but honestly not everyone can say they would just let it go if they were in her shoes. Most significantly, the comment was about her children. A good mother is going to do whatever she has to do to protect her kids. The email hit a sensitive spot for her. When you work hard for your children to give them the best of everything, and someone comes along to say things to put you down and question the love you have for yours, then you have a right to say whatever you need to say to set it straight. Had it been some mess or a nonsense rumor, then yeah, maybe she wouldn’t have responded. She has come along way, and she could have been “hood” for real and said something crazy, but the way she handled it was outstanding because not everyone (myself) would have done that. Keep doin you Mo!

I just got in and had to scroll down to see what this was about. I must say….I too think monica shouldn’t have responded. AM on Monicas team although I agree with her responding. People are so quick to down somebody elses parenting skills and 9 times out of 10 they aren’t even parents or did a bad job at it.

Just saw the video last weekend. I told my little cousin that dance was fruitesque. Males don’t cross their wrists up like that. JD looked especially feminine.

I remember thinking to myself why the damage was not splattered about her face. It looks moreso like someone patted it on…Who does that? Its ACID!!!!

I saw that mess too. I think she’s nuts. They started questioning her more when witnesses said they didn’t see anyone near her during the tine she was attacked. Then the fact that she’s partially deaf and couldn’t possibly hear someone coming made it worse. Oh and that she never wore shade before but all of a sudden bought some right before it happened??? She cancelled on Oprah because she felt it was going to turn out bad

I doubted her story from the jump. Time she INSISTED it was a black woman. Every black person on the planet should doubt WHATEVER A YT WOMAN SAYS regarding a minority PERIOD. They lie on us CONSTANTLY and EVERYTIME the media comes running with that sob story type chit.

Even heard they are considering not pressing criminal charges because of her “mental state.”

AND, rumor is, the black woman that was doused with acid was due to “retaliation.” These yt folk gettin outta hand.

Well Sandra did that, and is still doing that. I feel as though I earned my right to be in this “exclusive” blog by lurking for years, and getting to know poeple, so when I did get in all you had to do was get to know me.

I saw where someone made a comment yesterday about your face or whatever, and yeah, that was mean, but that was that person’s opinion. Don’t take it so seriously, This is a blog, remember?

That was my on problem with coming out of lurktivity, I knew that people (mostly women) wouldn’t be so welcoming. But I have put up my lil newbie sign up everday, and yes, my opinion does count, whether I have been lurking for years or signed up last night. I know you weren’t talking about me, but don’t group me in a category, just because you want to hear the same old thing from the same people everyday.

All these so called veteran SR members slay me by being territorial over a blog that doesn’t even belong to them. Then they incite negativity with negative comment and feign irritated or annoyed that someone had the audacity to respond. PUHLEASE!

I understand where every1 is coming from when they said she should of responded, but how many of you WOMEN would not have responded if someone but your motherhood in question? I know I would have responded, whether they were online or in my face. It is the “mother protecting her cub” syndrome! So, I understand the reasoning behind her response. I can’t say whether it was appropriate or not, but I would have said something as well.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that, but that is the only way to grow as a person. The reason T.I. is in the situation he’s in now is because he is not even trying to be something differant. Too busy keeping it real.

I think the majority of us watched her reality show, and could see w/our own eyes the love she has for her sons, therefore her reponse was not needed(to us).
