Brawl in the stands halts play at the U.S. Open
A brawl in the stands at the U.S. Open halted a tennis match between Novak Djokovic and Philipp Petzschner in Flushing Meadows, Queens, a borough of NYC.
The drama unfolded yesterday when two Canadian spectators, a woman in her 40s and her father, took exception to a younger man’s cursing.
After some verbal back and forth, the three spectators appeared to squash their beef. But the guy swore at the older gentleman, who then slugged him in the mouth. The two men toppled down two rows of seats before the daughter jumped in and slapped the guy.
Kudos to the real men in the stands who came to the defense of the lady — even though she had no right to put her hands on the guy. Security handcuffed all three and escorted them out of the stadium to a round of applause. Djokovic went on to beat Petzschner in straight sets to advance to the third round of the US Open.

Celebs Out & About: Ciara, LaLa Vazquez and Kiyan
The first thing I thought when I saw this picture was ‘who is she?’ Once I realized the stylish chick in the photo was pseudo-singer Ciara, my second thought was ‘why is she wearing a Hermès when she knows she can’t afford it?’ This particular Hermès croc Birkin retails for a minimum of $15,000 — that’s IF you can find one to buy. Hermès is so exclusive that they must be pre-ordered and can take up to 6 months to be delivered. So we know the bag is not Ciara’s. That’s a good try though, CiCi!

T.I., Tiny on their way back to Atlanta today; Zebo won’t fight for custody
Former Xscape singer Tameka “Tiny” Cottle is telling friends that the small amount of methamphetamine (street name ecstacy) that was found in her possession during a traffic stop in West Hollywood Wednesday night was not hers. Everyone in the car was taken into custody after police smelled marijuana and found a controlled substance in the car.
According to a very credible source who asked to remain anonymous, Tiny told friends that she and her BFF Vanity were picked up at their hotel by her husband T.I. and his BFF C-Rod. The two couples were on their way to dinner when T.I., who was driving a Maybach, made an illegal u-turn on Sunset boulevard. We all know what happened next.
T.I. and Tiny are due back in Atlanta this morning. T.I. will report to his probation officer who will determine the next course of action in light of his probation violation. In the meantime, Tiny has told friends that the only drugs found in the car was the small amount of ecstacy that did not belong to her.
I also received a call yesterday from a friend of Tiny’s baby daddy, Zonnie “Zebo” Pullins, who denied rumors that he was in the process of seeking custody of his 14-year-old daughter, Zonnique, pictured above with her “pa pa” Charles Pope and her father.
“Zebo doesn’t want to take Zonnique from her mother, so can you remove that?,” she asked. “He just wants her to go to a regular school rather than be home schooled.” According to the friend, Zonnique and her OMG Girls band mates, Lourdes and Bahja are tutored at home because they would miss too much school when they are on the road performing.
The friend said Zebo, T.I. and Tiny have a good relationship and Zebo is very much a part of his daughter’s life.
Yesterday I stated incorrectly that the CEO of Grand Hustle, Jason Geter, was among those arrested with T.I. and Tiny. I have since learned that the man and woman were C-Rod (formerly of the group P$C) and his longtime girlfriend, Vanity, (who is or was a Grand Hustle employee).
C-Rod and Vanity travel everywhere with T.I. and Tiny. Vanity is pictured HERE with Tiny at the NY premiere of Takers last month.
Long Hair Does Care: Lloyd Donates His Ponytail to Charity

Lloyd aka. “Mr. Long Hair Don’t Care,” surprised his fans today via twitter (@lloyd_yg) when he revealed that he cut off his trademark braids for a worthy cause. The R&B star, who began growing his hair over 10 years ago, felt like it was time for a change, and time to give back, “I’ve been growing my hair since 9th grade. It’s time for a new me.” said Lloyd. He went on to say, “The fact that my hair will go to someone that needs it more than me, makes me feel great about my decision.”
Lloyd has always been an avid supporter of non-profit charity work, especially when his efforts go toward benefiting children in need. Non-profit organization Locks of Love will use Lloyd¹s donated hair to provide a hair piece for a financially disadvantaged child (under age 21) suffering from long-term medical hair loss. The organization was happy to work with Lloyd, and both parties hope that their partnership will inspire others to donate.
Mahogany Wright, Lloyd’s long time hair braider gave the artist one final braid, then did the honors of cutting off the 12 inch lock of hair. Moments before, Lloyd had this to say, “I’m doing this for me. I feel like it’s time for a change and now is the perfect time.” Lloyd’s childhood barber, known simply as “Parker The Barber”, who was the last person to cut his hair when he was just 14, finished the job, giving the artist a fresh new look.
Andy Young: T.I. wants to do the right thing
The Atlanta Journal reached out to former UN ambassador and civil rights leader Andrew Young today to get his thoughts on the news of rapper T.I.’s latest arrest.
According to AJC writer Rhonda Cook, T.I.’s arrest in Los Angeles for drug possession has bewildered former Atlanta Mayor Andy Young, who counseled T.I. after the rapper pleaded guilty to federal drug charges last year.
T.I., real name Clifford Harris Jr., and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, were charged with possession of a “small amount” of ecstasy — a drug that is taken before sex to intensify sexual arousal and orgasm.
Young said the arrest “hurts his heart” because T.I. “not only has a successful marriage going for him and some wonderful children but his new movie is a big hit.”
Young also alluded to racial profiling as the reason T.I.’s Maybach was stopped for making a U-turn on Sunset boulevard in West Hollywood.
“There’s another culture in L.A. that I don’t understand,” Young said. “Most people in Los Angeles would wonder why he was stopped … I don’t know why they should have been stopped … When a black man is stopped and not speeding … you call that driving while black.” Read more…

Usher and his shall we say “mature” lady love Grace Miguel went apartment shopping in the trendy Tribeca neighborhood in New York City today. As you study these photos, remember that Usher suffers from unresolved Oedipus Complex issues (look it up). This should help to explain his bizarre attraction to certain types of females.
By the way, Grace left her husband to run off with Usher to Atlanta. Doesn’t that make Usher a home wrecker?
