New Music: Nicki Minaj – Right Through Me

More mindless garbage from cartoonish rapper Nicki Minaj whose debut album drops on November 23. It’s laughable that she thinks her CD will go platinum with lines like this:

    What are we doing?
    Could you see through me?
    ’Cause you say ‘Nicki’
    And I say’ who, me?’
    And you say ‘no, you’

    And I say ‘screw you’
    And you start dressing
    And you start leaving
    And I start crying
    And I start screaming

Audio: B.J. Bernstein, Eddie Long Spokesman Call Into Local Radio Morning Shows

New Birth Missionary Baptist Church continues to defend its embattled Pastor, Bishop Eddie Long, who stands accused of using his excessive influence over young men in his ministry by coercing them into providing him with sexual favors in return for cash and lavish gifts.

The plaintiffs, Anthony Flagg, 21, and Maurice Robinson, 20, of DeKalb County, filed lawsuits against Long and his ministry on Tuesday.

In an interview with Roland Martin on the Tom Joyner Morning Show this morning, the plaintiff’s attorney B.J. Bernstein laid out her shaky case against Long.

At one point she said Long urged the boys to text him photos of themselves fully clothed. “What’s wrong with that?, Martin responded.

She alleged that one of the plaintiffs approached Bishop Long last May for counseling after his friend died, “Instead, the bishop makes a move on him.”

Bernstein also said she would subpoena Long’s phone records, e-mail and travel itinerary to bolster her case.

In other words: she has no evidence to support her case other than the dubious statements of the boys — one of whom was charged with breaking into New birth Missionary church back in July.

Art Franklin, the head of public relations for New Birth Missionary Baptist Church called into the V-103 Frank and Wanda Morning show this morning to categorically deny the allegations against Long.

Franklin said the church found out about the allegations through the media. “We have not actually been served any copies of the lawsuits,” he told Frank Ski, who is a staunch supporter of Long and a longtime member of New Birth Missionary Baptist church.

Rumor has it that Franklin himself was caught up in a similar sex scandal when his wife divorced him, citing extramarital affairs — with other men.

WaPO: NEW BOOK REVEALS A ‘DYSFUNCTIONAL’ OBAMA ADMINISTRATION

A new book by Washington Post editor Bob Woodward (of Watergate fame) has tongues wagging across America this morning.

The book, released today, titled Obama’s Wars, paints the Obama administration as dysfunctional, and depicts the president himself as lackadaisical when it comes to national security.

During an hourlong interview with Woodward in July, US president Barack Obama said “We can absorb a terrorist attack. We’ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, even the biggest attack ever . . . we absorbed it and we are stronger.”

The quote gives the impression that Obama is saying, ‘sure, there’ll be tremendous casualties on our side, but we’ll get over it — we’ll absorb it — just as we did on September 11.’

Some say Obama’s words are code words to give our enemies the heads up that we are not prepared to protect this country from a domestic terrorist attack.

Former UN Ambassador John Bolton blasted Obama’s statement during an appearance on “Fox and Friends” this morning. Bolton said it proves Obama may not be fit to be commander-in-chief.

Political blogger Warner Todd Huston says Obama hasn’t done anything to make sure the U.S. can absorb another attack.

“Obama has done his level best to make us more vulnerable. From reducing the threat status, to eliminating intelligence programs that were getting results,” he writes.

Ace of Spades blogger “Ace” wrote that he believes the comment is Obama’s way of cajoling Americans into accepting the inevitable terrorist attacks as a means to bring about peace between America and the middle East. “We’re just going to have to be mature about mass murder,” wrote Ace [Emphasis his].

Ace points to Obama’s own past statements criticizing the CIA’s methods of extracting information from terrorists:

…the left is pushing this idea that we can safely “absorb” many new 9/11?s with an eye towards getting us to “accept” the greater bargain they fatuously offer — peace, and a general wind-down of post-9/11 security “overreactions” like the FBI tracking Muslims suspected of terrorist ties. If only we didn’t overreact to the occasional mass-murder [of Americans], we could go about our business without war, without increased security measures, without “Islamophobia,” without the rest of it.

Meanwhile, the Washington Post, which was advanced a copy of Woodward’s book, portrays an Obama administration that is disjointed, dysfunctional and rife with backstabbing and finger pointing within its ranks.

For example, Vice President Joe Biden detested the president’s special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke, calling him “the most egotistical bastard I’ve ever met.” And new Afghanistan War General David Petraeus abhorred dealing with the president’s senior adviser David Axelrod because he was “a complete spin doctor.” [link]

Bishop Eddie Long’s Accuser Charged With Burglarizing Church

According to the Atlanta Journal, one of Pastor Eddie Long’s accusers was recently charged with burglarizing Long’s megachurch.

The incident occurred on June 13 when two thieves were caught on surveillance video using a master key to enter Bishop’s private office at New Birth Baptist Church on Panthersville Road in Decatur, Georgia.

At the time police believed the burglary was an inside job.

The thieves stole an iPad, iPhone and other items totaling $1,300 according to the AJC. The master key, which was taken from a secretary’s desk on June 11, reappeared mysteriously 4 days later.

On June 23rd, police arrested Anthony Boyd, 19, of Decatur, and Maurice Robinson, 20, and charged them with burglary. Robinson is one of two men who filed lawsuits accusing Pastor Long of coercing them into having sex with him on trips out of town.

The other plaintiff is Anthony Flagg, 21, who said he began having intimate relations with Long at age 16, which is the legal age of consent in Georgia. Flagg was given lavish gifts by Long including a Mustang sports car.

The suit alleges Long began to spend personal time with Robinson when he was 15 years old.

Pastor Long’s attorney, Craig Gillen, adamantly denied the allegations.

“It is unfortunate that these two young men have chosen to take this course of action.”

Both Flagg and Robinson are seeking a trial by jury and unspecified monetary damages.

Their attorney, B.J. Bernstein, claims to have emails, text messages and photographs that confirm relationships of a personal nature existed between the men and Long, according to the AJC.

“It’s not just these two. There are young men around him at all times,” said Bernstein. “There are kids at risk now.”

Bernstein said Robinson burglarized the church out of frustration after learning that Pastor Long had also been intimate with Flagg and other young men in the church.

“He lashed out,” Bernstein said. “But if it weren’t for that act, we wouldn’t know about this. He talked to his friends and learned Long had other ‘spiritual sons.’”

Bishop Eddie Long serves as a “spiritual adviser” to a number of Atlanta celebrities and VIPs, including singer Mariah Carey, comedian chris Tucker, singer Usher, rapper Ludacris and local radio personality Frank Ski.

CNN: Bishop Eddie Long Sued by Two Men for Sexual Coercion

According to CNN.com, two Georgia men have filed a sexual coercion lawsuit against Bishop Eddie Long, Pastor of the mega New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

Long also acts as Spiritual advisor to a number of Atlanta celebrities, including rapper T.I. and V-103 Morning show co-host Frank Ski.

Yes, Bishop Long is married, but that didn’t stop the gay rumors from persisting for years.

According to the lawsuit:

“Defendant Long has a pattern and practice of singling out a select group of young male church members and using his authority as Bishop over them to ultimately bring them to a point of engaging in a sexual relationship.”

The pastor took one plaintiff, Anthony Flagg, 21, on overnight trips to a half-dozen American cities in recent years, Flagg’s suit alleges.

“Long shared a bedroom and engaged in intimate sexual contact with plaintiff Flagg including kissing, massaging, masturbating of plaintiff Flagg by defendant Long and oral sexual contact,” the suit says.
Long took the other plaintiff, Maurice Murray Robinson, 20, to Auckland, New Zealand, in October 2008 for his 19th birthday and engaged in oral sex with him, Robinson’s suit alleges.

“Following the New Zealand Trip, Defendant Long regularly engaged in sexual touching, and other sexual acts with Plaintiff Robinson,” Robinson’s suit alleges.

Rebecca Walker is still whining about her mother ruining her love life?

For years now, the only spawn of Alice Walker, has made it her mission to try and ruin her mother’s life the way she perceives that her mother has ruined hers.

In retaliation, the famed ‘Color Purple’ author has cut 40-year-old Rebecca Walker from her will.

I can’t say as I blame her. Enough is enough. When will Rebecca grow up and accept the fact that she is responsible for her own happiness in life?

Rebecca has written books (including Baby Love) and given interviews to numerous publications, while focusing on whining about her childhood.

“A good mother is attentive, sets boundaries and makes the world safe for her child. But my mother did none of those things,” says Rebecca in an interview with British newspaper The Daily Mail.

“My mom taught me that children enslave women,” she continued. “I grew up believing that children are millstones around your neck, and the idea that motherhood can make you blissfully happy is a complete fairytale.”

While Rebecca’s childhood and excellent Yale education doesn’t seem to be too shabby (she’s a contributor to publications, including Essence, Ms., Glamour, Interview and Vibe), she complains that she was not her mother’s top priority:

“I came very low down in her priorities,” she says, “after work, political integrity, self-fulfillment, friendships, spiritual life, fame and travel.”

She goes on to discuss her mother’s personal life, which includes dating singer Tracy Chapman when she was in her late 50′s and early 60′s.

And therein lies the problem. Here’s the rest of the story:

Rebecca, who is bisexual, fails to mention that she lost the love of her life (Chapman) to her own mother. And that is why Rebecca ended up dating lesbian singer Meshell Ndegeocello instead.

She also doesn’t bother to mention the $60,000 that Tracy loaned Rebecca and her little lesbun friends to start up a lesbian Internet Cafe business in the mid 90s.

All was well until the Internet Cafe failed to turn a profit and Tracy called in the loan.
