My name is Gemina Stroud and I’m from Atlanta, Ga. I work in the sports industry and last year, I set out to start a sports marketing firm. I began a campaign to find clients. I met Marcus Stroud (no relation) at a day party that he was giving at a restaurant in Atlanta. We conversed about what I was trying to do, and we exchanged numbers. He said that he would allow me to work for him, if I could show him what I was capable of.
At the time, Ed Hardy/Christian Audigier was a hot brand. I contacted the reps there, and they sent me about $600 worth of merchandise in exchange for pics of Marcus Stroud wearing the gear, along with an autographed football.
I, in turn, mailed the specialty box to Marcus Stroud, and explained what he needed to do. I would call and text Marcus from time to time, in hopes of him keeping his word. He returned my phone call twice, saying that he would get me the pics as soon as training camp had ended. Well training camp ended, and I haven’t heard from Marcus since. He started to avoid my calls altogether. It has now been a year. For someone fresh in the business, this was not a good look for me.
I am a woman of my word, and I expected for Marcus to be a man of his. He treated me as if I were next to nothing, the way women are often treated in this industry. I wonder had I been a male, white male, in particular would the outcome have been the same. I know he can afford to buy whatever he likes, so he could’ve at least returned the merchandise. This is not the way I handle business, and being that I couldn’t get the matter resolved respectfully, I feel that he needs to be put on blast. He claims to be such a positive figure in the community, yet his acts are not Godly to his fellow (wo)man.

Not only should she have had a contract but she also should’ve dealt with his MANAGEMENT TEAM instead of the client directly.

I saw your post about “Put ‘Em On Blast” and I would like you to consider my current predickament to post.
I am a young man in the southern region of the United States. I come from a broken home and was raised by my single mother along with my 2 siblings. Although I grew up fatherless and without a male role model, I was loved. I am thankful for my mother and that she raised all of her children to be very religious.
Recently, I joined New Booty Missionary Church for Boys. It was a small church JUST for young ‘tender bottoms, as the young men in the church are referred as. Before we become MEN. My grievance is with Pastor Teddy Schlong, aka Big Daddy Beat It Up.
Big Daddy was showing me how to become a MAN. Teaching me how to bathe properly, the CORRECT way to get dressed and undressed. Even checking my prostate. He is a truly loving man. However, he agreed that being part of the church, he would pay for my education. Ever since the new group of tender bottoms has arrived, he has been encouraging me to get a “new Daddy” or to “get a job.” I feel this is unfair.
I love this man… in a platonic “teacher-student” sort of way (no gay chit), but I feel he has molested my trust in him. What should I do?

To answer your questions from Friday–I did talk to Tyre Lajuan..Cool, cool dude. I had placed my shoe order—some Peep Toe booties,, because once I won, I was told that I could only select from 10 pre-selected styles (<–which left a whole lot to be desired..)

1. You forget that athletes and entertainers are NOT business men. Athletes get a paycheck and a W2 the only difference is that their check is much bigger. So their mentality is that of that person that borrows money from you and not pays you back and you will catch them in the mall buying everything under sun.
2. They do think that you are nobody and you can’t do nothing to them especially if its about $600. Matter of fact they feel that they doing you a favor by allowing you to do this for you.
3. If you approach business as business and not as oh he is an celeb and if I can put him on my portfolio I will get more business because 9 time out of 10 you doing business for a celeb means absolutely nothing.
4. You suppose to do everything in writing, if it is not on paper it doesn’t count.
I have worked in the entertainment business for a very long time. And I can give you a list of people that “Make It Rain” in the strip club but can’t pay me my money or buy a bunch of pendants for their whole crew but can’t pay for sh!t that is actually a business necessity. And yes a lot of them are folks that suppose to have the money.
However it was my fault because I would bend the rules because we had a good relationship, so I would get phone calls like “Can you look out”, “I got you”, “you know how we do”, etc. and when ever you call about your money you would get the same response but the checks would never come. But once you but the bill collectors on them, then they call you and try and make you feel guilty for being wrong in doing so. At one point you have to say screw the relationships, this is business, our friendship/relationship doesn’t pay my bills but your check does. But by the time you get to that point they probably moved on to hustle the next one who is eager in getting their portfolio boosted.

Recently, I joined New Booty Missionary Church for Boys. It was a small church JUST for young ‘tender bottoms, as the young men in the church are referred as. Before we become MEN. My grievance is with Pastor Teddy Schlong, aka Big Daddy Beat It Up.
Big Daddy was showing me how to become a MAN. Teaching me how to bathe properly, the CORRECT way to get dressed and undressed. Even checking my prostate. He is a truly loving man. However, he agreed that being part of the church, he would pay for my education. Ever since the new group of tender bottoms has arrived, he has been encouraging me to get a “new Daddy” or to “get a job.” I feel this is unfair.
I love this man… in a platonic “teacher-student” sort of way (no gay chit), but I feel he has molested my trust in him. What should I do?
