A NFL wife and her mom has responded to comedian Steve Harvey’s successful book “Think Like a Man”.

Shanae Hall, who penned “Why Do I Have To Think Like a Man?” with her mother Rhonda Frost, says, “It’s not the man that makes the difference, it’s how you (women) deal with the man that makes the difference between heartbreak and a mutually beneficially situation.”

She is right about one thing: the success of a relationship often falls on the woman’s shoulders. Healthy (non-narcissistic) men tend to be uncomplicated, while women can be complicated for no reason at all.

Men come into a relationship with a simple mindset: Me, man. You, woman,. It doesn’t get any simpler than that.

But women manage to upset the balance of a relationship due to their unchecked emotions, unrealistic expectations of men, and their dogged determination to change him.

Even though Hall is no longer married to former NFL player Cory Hall, she and Frost combined to write a book dispensing tried and true advice to women on how to deal with the men in their lives.

The book, which is in stores now, is based on more than 300 interviews with men and women over 25, and the author’s own dating drama.

It reveals a unique perspective on deal breakers, commitment, baggage, what men really want and getting what women want in return – from Hall and her mother, Rhonda Frost. The mother-daughter, hold-nothing-back collaboration aims to give readers a perspective that Steve Harvey’s “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” and his upcoming piece “Straight Talk, No Chaser” could not, an uncensored woman’s view on dating. While Harvey believes that thinking like a man is a recipe for a successful marriage, Hall says she can teach you to continue thinking like a lady, and still get your man.

Apparently, it didn’t work for her though.
