Usher Emulates Sammy Davis Jr. On Cover of Ebony
Usher gets points for this artful recreation of a Sammy Davis Jr. pose on the cover of the current Ebony magazine to celebrate their 65th anniversary.
The R&B crooner is enjoying renewed success with his album Raymond vs. Raymond, which scanned 1,103,546 copies sold to date.
Usher is seen rocking a crisp blue suit reminiscent of the suits Davis wore in the 60s. The suit was designed by Martin Margiela.
Davis died at age 64 of throat cancer in 1990.

New Photos of Rihanna’s Battered, Bloodied Face On Sale
As if convicted woman beater chris brown didn’t have enough problems. Today we learn that new photos of pop star Rihanna’s battered, bloodied face have surfaced, and are on sale to the highest bidder.
RadarOnline.com, which broke the story, has seen four of the new photos, but RO declined to purchase any of the images. We can only imagine how gruesome the photos are sine these are more clear and graphic than the photo that was purchased by TMZ.com from 2 former LAPD police officers.
The photos were taken in a Los Angeles emergency room where Rihanna was being treated after she was assaulted the night of the Grammy awards in February 2009.
The most graphic photo is a close-up; her left eye bloodied and bruised, with four lesions on her face and multiple cuts on her bottom lip.
Rihanna, wearing a grey tank top with her short hair pushed off her face, is also photographed in a profile position, showing the right side of her face. A ruler is being held up which shows the reddish swelling to span two inches – from the bottom of her eye almost all the way down to her mouth.
In another image, Rihanna is shown pulling her busted lips apart to show numerous lacerations on the inside of her mouth.
brown, who was in Atlanta over the past two days shooting a music video with T.I., declined to comment for this story.
Christina Aguilera Files for Divorce
On September 8, 2010, paparazzi spotted singer Christina Aguilera and her manager/husband Jordan Bratman tooling around Beverly Hills in his $190,000 Ferrari California convertible.
At the time we assumed the couple’s clenched jaws were in reaction to the paparazzi tailing them.
But now we know the real truth: the bonds of Xtina and Jordan’s marriage were irretrievably broken.
I know this to be fact because marriages don’t fall apart in less than 3 days.
According to TMZ, Aguilera filed divorce papers today citing irreconcilable differences. The couple have a son, Max Liron Bratman, who turned 2 in January. She has asked for joint physical and legal custody of their son.
But the seeds of marital discord were already sown long before these photos were snapped. Aguilera listed the date of her separation from Bratman as September 11, 2010.
As I noted earlier, the above photo was snapped on September 8.
Due to their portable nature, men may give up on marriages quickly. But it takes time for a woman to accept the fact that her marriage is unsalvageable.
Unlike men, a woman has her heart, her fragile emotions, her nosy friends, and any children from the marriage, to consider. Therefore, a decision to divorce her husband is not made in 3 days.
Call it what you want: woman’s intuition or a gut feeling, but a woman knows the moment her man starts cheating.
According to TMZ, sources connected with the couple say the marriage fell apart after Aguilera allegedly cheated on Bratman. But I don’t believe that for one second.
T.I. – ‘I will keep in touch with Joshua’
Rapper T.I. tells TMZ he will keep in touch with Joshua, the troubled young man who contemplated taking his life yesterday.
“It summoned my heart, my spirit. I said to myself … I gotta help,” said T.I., who arrived on the scene shortly after hearing about the suicide attempt on V-103.
The cops told the jumper that T.I. wanted to talk to him … but the jumper didn’t believe it at first, so “to assure him that it was really me they recorded a video message on the cop’s cell phone and took it up to him …15 minutes later the guy came down peacefully.”
T.I. says he told the man, “I want to speak to you, and that it’s not that bad. I’m willing to do whatever it is to help the situation, but I can’t do that unless you help me help you.”
Once the man agreed to move from the ledge to the lobby, T.I. says he told the man, “No matter how bad things get they get better … if you unplug the game then you don’t get extra men … when it gets bad, you feel bad, but it can get better.”
T.I. insists he wants to stay in touch with the man — saying, “I’ll do anything I can to help things get better.”

An industry exec who asked to remain anonymous, said yesterday’s unfortunate incident was “right on time” for T.I. who has a probation revocation hearing in the morning.
“That dude getting up there like he wanted to jump was exactly what [T.I.] needed,” said the exec. “That was right on time.”
Drake Gives Relationship Advice
Apparently, Canadian rapper Drake is a relationship expert now.
In the current issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, Drake draws from his vast experiences to drop knowledge on everything from how to approach a man, how to compliment a man, and how to get over a broken relationship with a man and move on.
Cosmopolitan: Is it hard for guys to get over breakups?
Drake: Definitely. Even after a long time, it’s painful to see an ex with somebody else. As happy as you are that she’s happy, there’s a little tingle underneath your heart. It’s not a sting. But it hurts a bit, and you wish it wasn’t there.
C: Is sex on a first date a deal breaker?
D: No, I don’t get why women think that. You’re telling yourself that all you have to offer is your body and the physical act. There’s more to you than that. If I like somebody, there’s so many great things to look forward to, even if we do it on the first night.
C: If a woman is into a guy, how should she get his attention?
D: I’m shy, so I like when she comes up and says “Hey, how are you doing?” That lets me know she wants to talk. The scariest thing is when you look at a woman and think of a million reasons why she wouldn’t want to.
C: What’s the best compliment a woman can give a guy?
D: I never mind hearing “You look nice tonight.” Guys put in a lot of silent effort. When I’m going on a date, I’m getting a haircut, I’ve got a new outfit, and I’m wearing cologne. So it’s nice when it’s noticed.
C: What’s the secret to a happy relationship?
D: Acceptance. You’ve got to be comfortable enough to be completely naked with lights on and the curtains open.

Will and Jada Smith get points for choosing Black Entertainment Television for the debut of Willow Smith’s music video for “Whip My Hair”.
PEOPLE has your first look at scenes from 9-year-old Willow Smith’s music video for her infectious first single, “Whip My Hair.” The daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith filmed the video in Sylmar, Calif., in September with director Ray Kay – who has also helmed clips for Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Beyoncé.
In the video, which debuts on BET on Monday, the pint-sized singer – who is signed to Jay-Z’s record label – gets playful with her wardrobe and some paint, and joins guest stars ranging in age from 1 to 85 who, you guessed it, whip their hair back and forth for the cameras.

The nauseatingly annoying track received rave reviews when it was released last month online. But child advocates and parent groups argue that the precocious 9-year-old is too young to be subjected to the pressures of the music industry.
Even if she’s having fun, her parents should know better.
