R&B Singer Mario Arrested for Assaulting His Mother

According to TMZ.com, R&B singer Mario was arrested for allegedly attacking his own mother. I’m not surprised to read this.

It’s been rumored for years that Mario is a down low male who hides his preferences for men. Usually these down low men are conflicted. They tend to have deep seated issues with women in general that stems from their poor relationships with own their mothers, who they blame for all their problems.

According to police, Mario’s mother Shawntia Hardaway — a former heroin addict — told cops the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant had been “throwing and damaging property” … and pushed her around with his hands and forearms.

Cops say they found several broken items inside the apartment — including a broken china cabinet, a busted mirror and a hole in the closet door.

Mario’s mother also told police the 24-year-old singer had attacked her earlier in the week — in which he pushed her “eight feet into a living room wall, where Ms. Hardaway hit her head on the wall.”

Mario — real name Mario Dewar Bennett — was eventually arrested this morning for 2nd degree assault. He was released on $50,000 bond.

OBAMA: ‘IT TOOK TIME TO FREE THE SLAVES’

Embattled U.S. President Barack Obama enlisted the aid of newcomer rapper B.o.B at a rally last night to help him fire up the young base that helped put him in office 2 years ago.

As the White House rats continue to jump from the sinking ship (Obama aide Rahm Emanuel is the latest to resign), reality has finally set in that the Obama administration is struggling.

“People are frustrated, they’re anxious, they’re scared about the future. And they have a right to be impatient about the pace of change. I’m impatient,” President Obama said at an event for Gen44. “It took time to free the slaves.” [link]

Grasping for the electric energy that propelled him to the White House, President Barack Obama whipped up young supporters at a rally Thursday night, where the boisterous crowd tried to shout down any talk of an “enthusiasm gap” among Democrats.

“It was always going to be hard,” Obama said as the crowd interrupted him with cheers and hollers. “Now is not the time to quit. I need you to be fired up, I need you to stay fired up, all the way to Nov. 2. … Because Nov. 2 is going to say a lot about your future,” the president said.” [link]

No one wants to be a part of a losing team, and the Democrats are especially anxious about the impending bloodbath that is predicted in the November primaries.

fanMAIL: Mike Tyson – Every Little Step

Everyone keeps telling me about this video of the Mike Tyson remake of Bobby Brown’s “Every Little Step” video.

I guess I don’t have a sense of humor because this video is just not funny to me. Maybe I would have hollered if Mike could actually dance a little? Speaking of which, I know who Mike Tyson is, but who is Wayne Brady and the other dude?

Thanks to loyal readers Hannah Kang and Charese Moore for the tips!

New Birth Minister Speaks Out About Sex Scandal Charges

A DeKalb county judge has agreed to hear the charges contained in the 4 lawsuits filed by young men who allege sexual abuse at the hands of Bishop Eddie Long, pastor of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

Meanwhile, a New Birth Baptist Church minister is speaking up about sex scandal charges surrounding the church’s embattled pastor Bishop Eddie Long.

“If indeed there were people aware of this kind of situation, they would have been reported. So there’s no way that individuals here at New Birth could have been aware of those kind of allegations and not communicate,ā€ said New Birth Chief Ministry Officer Darius Wise.

Wise, who is in his 30s, said he met the bishop 12 years ago while he was a freshman at Morris Brown College. He said the bishop mentored him and helped him become the man he is today.

“The list goes on and on of people who can tell the same story that I’m telling here today that Bishop Long has been an incredible blessing in their lives,” Wise said.

Wise dismissed the pictures floating around the Internet that show the bishop wearing spandex shorts and muscle shirts. B.J. Bernstein, the attorney for the plaintiffs, alleges the bishop sent those photos to the young men.

“For him to be as conscious as he is about his health about his physique that’s not uncommon to take a picture of yourself,” Wise said.

As for the grown men who allege that the bishop “sexually abused” them when they were in their late teens to early twenties, Wise said, “We are praying for you. We are desperately praying for those guys.”

Sen. Chambliss fires Staffer Who Left Gay Slur On Blog

There was a time when Internet bullies and bigots thought they were safe behind their monitors because of the anonymity of the Internet.

Well, not anymore.

Technology has advanced to the point where the public — with a little know how — can trace bullies and bigots directly to their doorstep.

That’s exactly what happened after a staffer in U.S. state Senator Saxby Chambliss’ Georgia office left a gay slur on a blog that is dedicated to discussing gay issues.

The staffer, using the screen name “Jimmy,” wrote “All Faggots Must Die” in a blog post about gays serving in the military on the popular JoeMyGod blog.

Joe’s readers traced “Jimmy’s” Internet Protocol (IP) address to a complex in Atlanta where Sen. Chambliss has an office.

The media was contacted, and the story soon became national news.

An investigation was immediately launched by Sen. Chambiss’ office. “This office has not and will not tolerate any activity of the sort alleged,ā€ said spokesperson Ashley Nelson.

Chambliss said in a statement Thursday that the Senate Sergeant at Arms had concluded its investigation, and he responded immediately by “removing” a member of his staff.

While he did not identify the culprit, Chambliss called Joe the blogger personally to apologize.

But Internet chatter indicates the staffer might be a Pentagon employee who was simply transferred out of Chambliss’ office to a different location.

So was he really fired or was this merely a politically correct move to appease the gays?
