Bow Wow to Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane & T.I. – “Stop Doing Dumb Sh*T!”
Rapper Bow Wow has a message for other rappers who continue to stay afoul of the law: “stop doing dumb sh*t!”
In an interview with Real Talk NY, Bow Wow, who is signed to Lil Wayne’s Cash Money Records, talked about visiting his boss in prison earlier this year (Weezy was released from Rikers Island early this morning).
Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Moss, said Lil Wayne told him, “Bow, this ain’t for us, this ain’t for rich ni**as.” Bow said seeing Weezy behind bars was like a wake up call for him.
Citing the recent arrest of rapper Gucci Mane, Bow urged black men – and rappers in particular — to step it up and stop giving police the power to lock them up.
“They lookin’ at us like we dumb! “The Police, they waitin’ on us ’cause they know,” said the 23-year-old Ohio native who was raised by an intelligent black woman.
“Us as black men we just gotta wake up and stop doing dumb sh*t,” he said. “If you love what you do so much, you not gonna jeopardize that nor f*ck it up!”

Bow also cautioned rappers (and professional basketball players) to watch what they say on Twitter.
“They watchin’ every move! You see ni**as get indicted now for gettin’ on the Internet blogging… Ni**as is snitchin’ on they selves!”
Gucci Mane, who was arrested in Atlanta on traffic and obstruction charges on Monday, was released and the charges were dropped.
But according to a credible source, the state’s probation office is considering whether to file new charges against Gucci for violating his probation. Which means he may be sent back to prison.
Bow Wow wisely ignored the rumors put out by washed up singer Raz B, formerly of boy band B2K.

You’re smart enough to know that meeting someone and knowing them are two different things. I’ve met Raz B on many occasions when he was in B2K. I took hundreds of pictures of the boy, but I don’t know him. He comes across as a sad, ghey washed up singer who is desperate to keep his name on everyone’s lips. Songstress, that’s just usually how it goes. I had a coworker w/ no kids and we made a great salary but she was always broke but coming to work in Jimmy Choos and all name brands and ish, now our boss made twice our salary but shopped at Target. She generally came to work looking just as good if not better than the other one but you would’ve never guess she was pulling 6 figures a year. Go to any hood in America and you’ll see more name brands than the racks at Saks or Neimans and most can’t pay their rent or put food on the table yet if you mention spending less on clothes and shoes they’ll look at you like you’re stupid but go to the upper class neighborhoods and they’re shopping at outlets, discount stores, old navy and stuff like that and putting their money in the bank. Too many have their priorities in the wrong order. Plus my mom taught me years ago its all in the fabrics and how your clothes are made. I can spend $15 on a shirt and you’ll never guess without looking at my receipt how cheap it was and have money left to pay bills, spend money on my kids and save whereas I have friends who’ll spend $200 on a shirt that falls apart in the washer and looks like it came from the $5 store
