Monica? No, it’s Dondria
Normally I wouldn’t waste my time writing a Dondria post because she’s disrespectful for personal reasons.
But I just received these images of newcomer Dondria and she looked familiar. After giving it careful thought, it suddenly occurred to me that she reminded me of my friend Monica.
While Dondria wishes she had Monica’s bloodline (and career), she will have to settle for jacking her image.

R&B songstress, Dondria, is ready to claim her thrown! Monica, Brandy watch out because Dondria has a stunning new look and ready to rock red carpets. She recently did a shoot with fashion photographer Chad Finley to get a new jump start to her career. Dondria is currently gearing up to make an appearance at the 2nd Annual Soul Train Awards in Atlanta, GA on November 10, 2010; where’s she’s up for 2 nominations.

At first when I saw this pic I couldn’t help but think she had a lopsided boob for some reason but after looking I realized it was her shoulder, I mean she is giving good face but the body angles and stuff are all wrong. Re-do.
Um…And who in the hail wrote that press release?
Proofreading isn’t a crime ya know. 
She doesn’t look like Monica and she doesn’t look like herself either. Waaaayyyy too much makeup. I wouldn’t take credit for those pics if I were the photographer. And why to Monica and Brandy need to watch out? Why would they mention them by name like that? Particularly since Brandy ain’t even doin nothing.
And how did she get any award nominations?

I’ve SEEN pictures of her before AND I was channel surfing… Caught a GLIMPSE of her on a BET Awards show when they were standing outside before the REAL Show started (And She LQQKED NOTHING like that PIC…)

I think she looks just like Monica in these pictures but the last two remind me of Patty LaBelle. Christian B is a great makeup artist but this work is just blah.
I like some of her songs
Monica is not a bad person to image yourself after…she’s actually a very fashionable and modest dresser. Her hair and maeup usually stay well put together.
Her love life is a different story.
Monica and Dondria don’t look alike at all. Monica is a beautiful woman. And i’m mad that they think Dondria is a competition for Monica. Monica’s flop singles charted higher than Dondria’s highest ranked song.

@Songstress…you hit the nail on the head. That’s who she resembles. I didn’t even think Monica when I saw that pix. My mind went immediately to Yolanda Adams.
let’s cut her some slack. she has a very good voice (i mean she’s young so obviously her voice isn’t as developed as monica’s) and without makeup, she’s a really beautiful girl (she was very pretty in her youtube vids and people always complimented her- she’s as pretty as monica when they aren’t putting drag makeup on her). the only problem is that she doesn’t have “it”. she lacks something. they need to train her better for stage performances because she always looks lost (she looked lost in her youtube vids too and she was taping those from the comfort of her home so she might be a lost cause)
