New Music: Michael Jackson – “Breaking News”

New music from the late pop icon Michael Jackson. No, this isn’t the track that was supposedly released by Katherine Jackson to counteract Sony’s upcoming MJ release.

According to Roger Friedman’s Showbiz 411, “Breaking News” is a track that was written by Michael about himself.

“Who is that boogeyman you’re thinking of?/Why is it strange that I would fall in love?,” Michael sings.

“Breaking News” was produced by Teddy Riley. It was recorded in August 2007.

When I saw Teddy Riley’s name, I really expected this to sound like a newer version of Teddy’s Jam, Dum Dum Ditty.

Being on his official website doesn’t make it official in my eyes.

I am and alwyas will be a lifelong MJ stan but as much as I miss him, I will not just blindly accept anything with his name on it.

And my credulity has nothing to do with what the family says. Except for Rebe and possibly Mj’s kids, they are all quite crazy and have almost no credibility with me. If Mike comes back and tells me it’s him, maybe then I’ll believe it.

Exactly. I’m like 2007? More like 1997, at the latest.

And if you listen to “2000 Watts” from his Invincible album Mike does have bass. I’ve also heard that his speaking voice could get pretty deep too.

There is just something off about this song for me. I believe that MJ may have written this, but I don’t believe he recorded it.

I think there are some parts that he may have sang, then they go an impersonator. But this is NOT a hunnit percent MJ. They got some older vocals and “hee’s and hoo’s” in there to confuse us. Or try to.
