Celebs Out & About: Nicki Minaj and Her Overzealous Security

According to Zimbio.com, Nicki Minaj and her VERY protective entourage exited out the back of Club Mansion after hosting an “All Pink Party,” in South Beach, Miami, Florida last night.

As Nicki walked out, one of her burly bouncers inadvertently placed his hand on a lady’s breast to move her out the way. Nicki’s security were reportedly very rough with Nicki’s fans (the same ones she expects to buy her albums).

Having dispatched her fans (the ones who she expects to buy her album), the diminutive star walked back to her hotel, flashing a massive sparkler on her wedding finger. Nicki’s highy-anticipated debut album will be released on November 23. After leaving the club she tweeted, “Blinded by paparazzi but 2nite was Goose! Miami barbz were drop dead gorg! Mansion was Goose! Baby, MackMaine, & Slim. Weezy home in 2 days!” Weezy is believed to be a reference to fellow rapper Lil Wayne, who is set to be released from prison this week.

T.I. Goes In, Lil Wayne Walks Out; Tiny Might Not Be Able To Visit T.I.
Rapper T.I. bid adieu to his family and friends yesterday and turned himself into the same Arkansas correctional facility where he spent 10 months last year.
A prison spokesman told TMZ that T.I. checked in yesterday morning and was being processed.
T.I. is a cordial guy and I’m sure he was welcomed warmly by the staff and correctional officers who befriended the “I’m Serious” rapper while he was behind bars on federal weapons charges.
Before he left Atlanta, T.I., 30, attended Ebony Steele’s Bare Chest for Breast Cancer fashion benefit to raise funds for cancer research (photo above from the event). T.I. also donated his time and money to charitable causes that were never mentioned in the media.
T.I.’s wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, 35, hopes to be leaving for the Forrest City federal prison in a few days. But word is Tiny might not be allowed to visit T.I. since she has a pending court hearing on a felony drug possession charge in California.
Inmates in federal prisons can not receive visits from guests who are also charged with felonies.
Last year, Tiny and a friend made weekly visits to the Arkansas prison to see T.I. until he was released to a halfway house last December.
The friend who accompanied her most often to Arkansas was the same woman who was arrested along with Tiny and T.I. during a traffic stop in West Hollywood on September 1st.

Meanwhile, that other incarcerated rapper, Lil Wayne, is set to leave Rikers Island prison on Thursday. The “Lollipop” rapper wrote a letter on his blog thanking his fans for their loyal support.
He also penned a few words to an unidentified woman in a picture on the wall of his cell:

Willow on Ellen; Janet Jackson On Jay Leno; Bow Wow On 106 & Park

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s spawn, Willow, appeared on The Ellen Show yesterday where she received a gift from Ellen — a neck brace — to keep her from injuring her spine when she whips her weave extensions to and fro.
A doctor has spoken out against Willow’s infectious kiddie tune, “Whip My Hair”, saying it’s dangerous and could cause neck injuries in children.
Janet Jackson appeared on Jay Leno yesterday to promote her new movie ‘For Colored Girls’. She talked about her hair and diet, and her stiff, wooden acting job in the movie. I guess Tyler Perry will continue to cast Janet in his movies, but Hollywood has not come knocking yet.

Who Knew Gavin Rossdale Was Bisexual?
I’ve seen the above photo of 80s rocker Marilyn, right, and his young lover posted on other blogs. But not once did it ever click that his lover is Gavin Rossdale who is married to singer Gwen Stefani.
I have never once plucked Gavin’s gay card. But now I can see his feminine qualities.
British singer Boy George outed Gavin back in 1995 after Rossdale came to fame as a member of the group Bush.
But Rossdale has continuously denied his sexual relationship with Marilyn despite photographic evidence. Last month, Rossdale finally confirmed his relationship with the cross dressing singer.
…in a new interview with U.S. magazine Details, Rossdale finally confessed to the liaison.
He told how he had a fling with Marilyn, now 47, in the 1980s when he was just 17 years old.And he said he had not admitted to the affair because of the media ‘glare’ when Bush were just forging a career in the U.S.
His admission has not pleased Marilyn, who told InTouch: ‘I find it sad that when I spoke out about what we had, I was labelled a tattletale – and now, Gavin is using it to promote himself’. [link]
But what impact has Gavin’s admission had on his wife and baby mama Gwen Stefani?
Gay men will tell you how difficult it is for them to give up that lifestyle. So is Gavin still sexually attracted to men? What if you found out your man was gay before you met him? Would you leave him? Or would you watch every man he comes into contact with and hope that he doesn’t stray?
Medical Minute: A Cure for the Common Cold (and HIV)?

Doctors at Cambridge have made a remarkable new discovery that could mean a cure for the common cold virus. The new discovery could also signal the end of AIDS since HIV, which causes AIDS, is also a virus.
Medical students have always been taught that the virus, which causes twice as many deaths as cancer, could not be killed once it enters the body’s cells. Therefore, the virus was believed to be immune to the body’s own defenses and to our most powerful antibiotics and anti-viral drugs.
But not any more.
A study by a team of researchers from the world-famous Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge has shown that this textbook explanation of the limits of the human immune system is wrong because anti-viral antibodies can in fact enter the cell with the invading virus where they are able to trigger the rapid destruction of the foreign invader.
In a dramatic breakthrough that could affect millions of lives, scientists have been able to show for the first time that the body’s immune defences can destroy the common cold virus after it has actually invaded the inner sanctum of a human cell, a feat that was believed until now to be impossible.
The discovery opens the door to the development of a new class of antiviral drugs that work by enhancing this natural virus-killing machinery of the cell. Scientists believe the first clinical trials of new drugs based on the findings could begin within two to five years.
Celeb Style: Rick Ross and Sean Combs
Allen over at Upscale Hype posted these pics of rapper Rick Ross and rap mogul Sean Combs, otherwise known as the Bugatti Boyz, posing in front of a $2.7 million Bugatti Veyron.
Sean Combs doesn’t mind hopping on the hottest thing moving in order to stay relevant. In this case, he’s hoping flame thrower Rick Ross will carry him on his back for at least another 15 minutes.
The new duo was probably shooting a video for their single titled “Another One”. Rick Ross is wearing an Exclusive Game Clothing custom leather jacket ($2,200), which he matched with a pair of Lanvin high-Top sneakers ($765). Diddy is also seen below rocking an Exclusive Game MCM cognac jacket and what appears to be a pair of Collection by Creative Recreation black high-top studded sneakers ($450)
Speaking of MCM, that brand has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity since producer Kanye West, and others, started wearing pieces from MCMs TI$A line. MCM was very popular among the urban set back in the 80s. There was even a MCM store at the upscale Lenox Square mall in Atlanta when I first moved here from Miami in 1990.

Aimee Michael Found Guilty of Easter Sunday Crash Deaths
A jury deliberated for four days before finding Aimee Michael guilty of causing the horrific Easter Sunday 2009 hit-and-run crash that killed 5 people, including 3 children.
The jury found Michael guilty on all counts, which means she could be sentenced to life in prison.
Police say Michael, now 24, was on an ice cream run in her mother’s champagne-colored BMW 740 iL on April 12, 2009, when her car collided with a Mercedes 230 in the lane next to hers on Camp Creek Parkway.
The Mercedes, driven by Robert Carter, was sent hurtling into oncoming traffic and hit a Volkswagen Beetle head-on. Mr. Carter, his wife Delisia, plus their 2-month-old son, Ethan Carter, and Delisia Carter’s daughter Kayla Lemons, 9, were killed in the fiery collision.
The driver of the VW, Tracie Johnson, 43, was airlifted to a local hospital with multiple broken bones and other life-threatening injuries.
Johnson (pictured on the right with her family) survived her injuries, but her daughter, Morgan Johnson, 6, was killed in the crash.
Michael fled the scene immediately after the accident, setting off an intense manhunt for the hit-and-run driver and the BMW. In the days following the accident, Michael enlisted the aid of her mother — an elementary school principal at the time — to repair the BMW and cover up evidence.
Michael was arrested on April 23, 2009, after a neighbor saw the BMW being repaired in the Michaels’ driveway and called in a tip to police.
According to the AJC, the Fulton County Superior Court jury that decided Michael’s fate began deliberating at about 4 p.m. Wednesday following the weeklong presentation of evidence. They worked until 5:30 p.m. then returned to their deliberations at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, breaking for a brief lunch.
Around 2:30 pm today the jury asked to see the final 90 minutes of Aimee Michael’s videotaped interview with police. During the interrogation, Michael admitted fleeing the scene after causing the accident.
But Michael’s lawyer, W. Scott Smith, blamed the deceased driver of the Mercedes for the accident. The prosecution presented two accident experts who placed the blame for the tragedy squarely on Michael’s shoulders.
“She fled. She ran. She left those people burning. What innocent person would do that?” said lead prosecutor, Assistant District Attorney Tanya Miller, during her closing argument Wednesday.
Judge Kimberly M. Esmond Adams could sentence Michael to the maximum sentence of life in prison, or as little as 3 years behind bars.
Aimee’s mother, Sheila Michael, 53, pleaded guilty Monday to tampering with evidence and hindering the apprehension of a criminal. She is in the Fulton County jail awaiting sentencing.
Michael previously rejected a plea deal of 50 years in prison.
