Have you seen what Rihanna said about the blogs and our readers who support her and buy her music?
Why do I think she’s referring to just the urban blogs? I’m speechless. She could have at least qualified her statement by saying “Some blogs”.
Why is she so bitter? Should I ban any further Rihanna posts for this blasphemy?
I read the blogs sometimes, it depends on what it is I am trying to find out. I’m a lot more numb to it now only because I understand what it is.
It’s a community for people who don’t have anything else to do and hate themselves… They hate their life, they hate their job, they hate their appearance, they are uncomfortable with who they are. So what makes them feel good is talking smack about other people who they think they will never ever see in their life and they happen to be celebrities.
It seems impossible to ever have the opportunity to say these things to their face, so they get to hide behind their computer and type.

Then you know how those interviews will take shyt and edit it out and make it sound horrible. We know they’ve done that plenty of time’s to all celebs so you can’t fully trust an excerpt from an interview.

I don’t believe that Rihanna was blasting blogs (I’m sure she knows where her bread is buttered) or even people who read them – I’m almost sure that her comments are directed toward people whose spirit automatically reverts to negativity when they see a picture of her.
She’s a kid, but even if she was 50 years old, how much can ANYONE take of people hating you for absolutely NO reason other than the fact that people take YOUR picture before they bite back?
Hell, some of y’all aren’t even famous in your own damn house and you go off when someone says something negative about you without knowing much of anything about you. Imagine being a person whose mere being illicits disdain and hatred and for NO DAMN REASON.

The saddest part of all is that NOBODY suggests Gucci Mane, T.I., R. Kelly, Snoop, or 50 Cent go away.
It speaks volumes to us as a community that we “hate” positive imagery of black folk and the ones who bring $HIT to the table except buffonery, negativity, repeated jail sentences and drug promotion get all the love.

I could be wrong, but when your offstage image mirrors that of your onstage image, then there’s a problem. That’s like saying Denzel has a negative image because he sold drugs in training day.
The images I see of Ri onstage and the ones I see offstage are different.

As far as the Russian Roulette song goes…yes it was a metaphor and at 26 I realized that but my 13 year old step baby was totally clueless to it and thought she meant what she was saying literally. Not to mention the video only adds to the thought that she means off yourself.

For example, I enjoy Beyonce’s music. But for a while I couldn’t stand to even hear her name because that’s ALL I was hearing. Part of it was just her PR machine but a big part is the media at larges tendency to beat us over the head with the next hot thing.
As for Rhianna, my personal opinion is she’s not talented enough to warrant the attention she’s been getting. She can’t sing or dance and is mostly famous for getting her azz whooped by another mediocre yet over-hyped celeb. So if I feel like I’m tired of seeing her azz I will say it. Just like she’ll keep getting thrown in my face.

I agree with B…although I wouldnt have been so vehement in my wording. I do not talk about celebs in front of my two daughters. I also dont allow them to look at videos, especially of Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, etc. Everything is not for everybody and my 4 and 18 month old have no business imitating those women. My daughters imitate ME. I show a positive influence. I go to work daily, I treat people the way I want to be treated and I dont have all my assets hanging out. Dear XXXXX, I have a problem that’s becoming too much for me to handle. I’ve been with my boyfriend for about 2 years now and I used to be head over heel in love with him. We’ve been living together for a year and we’ve been planning to get married after we pay off some credit card bills. We’re both in our 30?s so we don’t want anything traditional, we’ll probably go somewhere and do it just the two of us or at least that’s what we had planned but I’m starting to question if he’s the right person because of what he’s been doing to me lately. It started last summer. One night we had sex and he was really rough with me. I’m not someone who lacks adventure and I’m okay with a little rough sex and kink. In other words I’m no prude! When I say he got rough with me he had my hands pinned over my head to a point where I couldn’t move and he was hurting me. When I told him to stop and back up he kept going and my inability to move seemed to turn him on. I felt really violated and when I brought it up for discussion he said he was in a zone and didn’t mean to hurt me. It didn’t happen for a while after that but he lost his job two months ago and it’s been happening more frequently since then. In the middle of the night when I’m sleep he’ll get on me and go rough and I’m not even ready so it hurts more and the other night he pinned my face to the pillow and went really hard on me from behind and that was very painful. Not just physically but mentally and emotionally. I told him to let me go and I felt like I was literally fighting him off me but he is too strong.
