Rumor Control: Monica Denies Pregnancy Rumors
So last night I logged onto my Twitter page to catch up on the latest tweets, when I noticed two of my loyal readers commenting back and forth on R&B Diva Monica’s thrilling performance on BET’s Black Girls Rock.
@vibaby, who was chatting with @eastpointvet, tweeted “Monica is pregnant…”
Jokingly, I retweeted her tweet and I added: “Why am I the last to know?” Suddenly, my cell phone blew up with calls. Before I could tweet, “I was only kidding!,” Mo herself text messaged me to confirm that she was not pregnant with fiance Shannon Brown’s child.
Here’s what she wrote:
My cousin just texted and asked ‘why are u the last to know’….. I am ABSOLUTELY not pregnant. God’s Grace, Great kids, Great Family and Super good love sometimes = what we in the country call happy weight. LOL. No worries. Jesus I have gotten tons of calls. Not because u said it. But my publicist said people are asking her. I didn’t look that different to me. LOL…. Oh, well.
So there you have it. If Mo was pregnant, I’m sure she would let her fans know the happy news immediately. You would not learn the joyous news on Twitter.com.

She did NOT look pregnant on the show last nite but yes, she did sound so very nice she was the best but I think Keyshia was trying a little too hard so she didn’t sound all dat good to me. But Jill Scott was da BOMB!!!! and then when Kelly Price Ledisia, Fantasia and Marsha came out it was over those ladies need to form a group but I don’t know which would be the lead!!!!

@Yso – I wish Monica wouldn’t respond to any and everything said about her. It’s unreal, I’ve never seen a celeb respond to so many rumors about then…and she be quick with her rebuttal too.
I know it’s hard to hear negative or things that are untrue about you but she’s been in the game long enough to know to let that shyt ride. Still love her though.
I don’t have anything against, Monica really. I just think that it’s sad and ultimately unhealthy for anyone, especially a celeb, to care so much about what people say/think about them.
