Oprah On Her Relationship With Gayle: ‘I’m Not a Lesbian. I Think…’

An emotional Oprah Winfrey teared up as she spoke to Barabara Walters about her relationship with rumored lover Gayle King.

“I have said we are not gay,” she tells Barbara Walters on “A Barbara Walters Special: Oprah, The Next Chapter,” airing Thursday on ABC. “I’m not lesbian. I’m not even kind of lesbian. And the reason it irritates me is because somebody must think I’m lying. That’s number one. Number two, why would you want to hide it? That’s not the way I run my life.”

Oprah says that despite rarely being seen in public together, Stedman is still “the love… the lover… the man… the partner… the mate” of her life.

“[Gayle] is the mother I never had, she is the sister everybody would want, she is the friend everybody deserves,” she says. “I don’t know a better person. It’s making me cry because I’m thinking about how I’ve probably never told her that.”

Somebody should tell Oprah that she can be in an intimate relationship with another woman and not engage in sexual acts with her.

Celebs Out & About: Beyonce, Jay Z, Ashanti, Djimon, Kimora Lee, Ne-Yo, Fabolous

The world’s most famous narcissistic couple, Beyonce and Jay Z, were spotted sipping wine down under in Australia yesterday. I’m guessing that one or both will appear on Oprah’s TV specials from Australia this week. As you know, Oprah announced she would be flying 300 of her most loyal audience members to Australia as part of her final ‘Favorite Things’ episode.

Your favorite pseudo singer-slash-socialite, Ashanti, showed up at the world premiere of ‘The Tourist’ held at the Ziegfeld Theater, NYC on Monday. LOVE the open toe boots! Like Christina Milian and Teyana Taylor, this washed up singer sure knows how to draw attention to herself!

Letter from T.I. thanking his fans

Rapper T.I. wrote a special message to his fans on his website thanking them for their letters and expressions of encouragement.

At the end of the letter, T.I. listed most of the fans who have written to him so far.

Coincidentally, T.I.’s 7th studio album, No Mercy, dropped today. No Mercy is also available on iTunes!

So here it is…NO MERCY, the most honest and intimate installment of my life story as promised. Hope y’all enjoy it and it lives up to the very high standards I’ve set for myself or anyone who’s to be considered one of the best. I must admit it takes a lot to go through as much as I have and still keep the love in your heart and in your art. But at the end of the day, if that’s what it takes to produce the music that keeps the world of hip-hop evolving on it’s axis….Then even the lowest of the lows of my life was all worth it. Thanks again for your prayers, your time and attention. And remember….It does’nt matter how long it’ll be before the next time you see me. What matters is that I’ll be a better man before that time comes. The longer I sit, the smarter I get.

I’d like to give a vey special thank you to all the fans who’ve been writing me and lifting my spirits everyday. I read all of them. Although I would never be able to write you all back…I’d like to list as many of you individualy as I can and thank the others collectively. It’s a relief to know that there still are people who see a man with a life and not just another headline in the news. Most of you sound very concerned and optimistic at the same time about my situation. Let me assure you all that I am deffenitely keeping my head up. I don’t consider myself done by far. Also many of you are convinced as I am that God has a plan for me that he’s preparing me for.

This is proof positive that your letters mean a lot to T.I. The letters lift his spirit and give him something to look forward to while he’s serving time in Arkansas.

You can write to T.I. at the following address:

Wesley Snipes to appear on ‘Larry King Live’ before surrendering

Convicted tax cheat Wesley Snipes will appear on CNN’s “Larry King Live” before surrendering to prison authorities on Thursday.

In 2008 Snipes was convicted of three misdemeanor counts of failure to file tax returns. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison.

Since then, Snipes has lost a series of appeals and requests for new trials. Earlier this week, a judge denied Snipes’ request to delay the start of his prison sentence until after the holidays.

His motion said Snipes has four young children ranging in age from 4 to 9, and the “surrender date is in the middle of the holiday season.”

But the judge ruled: “The natural and inevitable consequence of any substantial sentence or imprisonment is to separate Defendant from his family during holidays and at all other times of significance to a particular family unit -birthdays, weddings, and the like.”

Prior to his conviction, Snipes had been a member of an obscure cult whose leader didn’t believe in paying taxes.

Snipes also claimed that as a “fiduciary of God, who is a ‘nontaxpayer,’” he was a “‘foreign diplomat’” who was not obliged to pay taxes.

Snipes failed to file tax returns for the years 1999 to 2004 on earnings of $37 million.

According to CNN’s Marquee blog, the actor will sit down for his only interview Tuesday (today) on CNN’s “Larry King Live.” Snipes is scheduled to report to the Federal Correctional Institution McKean at Lewis Run, Pennsylvania on Thursday, December 9.

George Lopez gives Nicki Minaj a booty protector; she introduces another ‘alter ego’

Rapper Nicki Minaj appeared on the George Lopez show last night where she lip synced her hit “Moment 4 Life” off her debut CD, Pink Friday.

Before you race to your keyboards, I know her microphone was on, but as you can hear, the volume was low.

Lopez asked Minaj to describe her various alter egos, which she happily did. Then Minaj told Lopez that she “created” an alter ego just for him named “Rosa”.

A grateful Lopez gifted Minaj with a barbed wire booty protector for her butt pads. But he failed to ask her more important questions that we all want to know, such as “how many butt shots does it take to achieve that size?”

Watch her stiff performance after the break!

RIP Elizabeth Edwards

Scroll down for update…

A source close to Elizabeth Edwards’ family tells CBS news “she is dying.”

Elizabeth Edwards’ doctors say her long battle with cancer is coming to an end and she may have only weeks to live.

Doctors have told the wife of former Presidential candidate John Edwards that treatment would no longer affect the outcome. Doctors say she is not in any pain and is saying her final farewells to loved ones.

Edwards is now at home, resting with her family, including her estranged husband John, after being told by doctors that further treatment of her cancer would be unproductive.

Edwards, 61, posted a message on Facebook signaling her six-year battle against cancer may be ending.

Edwards wrote, “The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered…the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious.”

Sources say Edwards is receiving hospice care at home, meaning the focus is on keeping her pain-free rather than saving her life.

It was during her husband’s second presidential bid in 2006, that doctors told her the cancer had spread to her bones, and could not be cured.

In 2008, her husband admitted he cheated on her and fathered a child outside of their marriage. “She understands what I understand, which is that I am imperfect,” he said in a statement. “I made a very serious mistake.”

Update:

WRAL reports that Elizabeth Edwards has died after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 61.
