TBS’s hit comedy ARE WE THERE YET? returns with new episodes beginning Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 10 and 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT).. The series stars Terry Crews (Everybody Hates Chris) and Essence Atkins (Half and Half) as a newlywed couple whose blended family faces the challenges of everyday life. Brand new episodes will feature an extraordinary roster of guest stars to keep the comedy sizzling all winter long.

ARE WE THERE YET? Guest stars include comedian and actor Charlie Murphy (Night at the Museum, The Boondocks), who plays the ex-husband of Atkins’ character, Suzanne, in the season opener on Jan. 5; recording artist and actress Sandy “Pepa” Denton (of Rap Duo Salt ‘n’ Pepa), as the new field producer for Terry Crews’ sportscaster character, Nick, on Jan. 12; improv star and television host Wayne Brady (The Wayne Brady Show, Whose Line Is It Anyway?) as an ad man from Nic’s job who encourages the family to send the children to private school on Jan. 26; and model/actress Toccara Jones (America’s Next Top Model, The Tyra Banks Show) as an over-the-top cousin of Suzanne’s best friend on Jan. 26.

In episodes slated for February and March, comedian Sinbad (Cosby, Resurrection Blvd.) will play a small claims court judge working out an issue between Nick and Suzanne; David Rasche (Ugly Betty, Rubicon) will guest-star as a weatherman with eyes for Suzanne’s mother; former NFL defensive end Michael Strahan will play a bouncer who gives Nick a hard time; boxer Laila Ali will portray herself. After a tremendously successful first season this past summer, ARE WE THERE YET? ranks as basic cable’s #1 sitcom of the year among adults 18-49. It also ranks as television’s #1 scripted series for the year among African-American adults 18-34 and 18-49. Co-starring in the series are Teala Dunn, Coy Stewart and Keesha Sharp (Girlfriends), with recurring characters played by comedian Christian Finnegan, veteran actress Telma Hopkins and special guest star Ice Cube, who also serves as an executive producer.

In addition, actor Alfonso Riberio (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) directed 6 out of 12 of the new episodes airing Wednesday 1/5 through Wednesday 2/9.
