BET’s ‘The Game’ Season 4, Episode 1 Recap
The much-hyped Season 4 premiere of ‘The Game’ aired on BET last night (the prior seasons were on CW). Everyone’s talking about the steamy scene between resident Cougar, Tasha Mack (Wendy Raquel Robinson), and Donte (BET’s 106 & Park host, Terrence J).
Actually, they’re all talking about Terrence J’s exceptional acting skills. He really made me believe he has some prior experience with women.
The sports sitcom centers around a trouble making sports agent, Tasha Mack (Robinson) and her professional football player clients, Derwin (Pooch Hall) and Tasha’s son Malik (Hosea Chanchez) — none of whom can act their way out of paper bags.
Tia Mowry, who announced her pregnancy yesterday, plays Melanie, Derwin’s annoyingly insecure wife. Melanie and Mack don’t believe DJ is really Derwin’s son. So Melanie swabs the cute tyke’s mouth for a DNA test, which turns out to be negative.
Watch Derwin’s reaction below when Melanie tells him that DJ is not his son.
Later on in the show we find out the DNA test result was a mixup, and that DJ is in fact Derwin’s son. The DNA mixup plot was ridiculous and unlikely. But this is TV, so we can’t expect much.
Robinson, Hall and Mowry can’t act their way out of paper bags. Fortunately, Terrence J’s stellar acting skills held my interest long enough to keep me from changing the channel. I did nod off a couple of times though – especially when Robinson, Hall and Mowry were on the screen.
The two battling divorcee’s, Jason and Kelly (Brittany Daniel and Coby Bell), provided some comedy relief from the sheer boredom of watching the rest of the cast struggle through their lines.
The only character that I truly despised was the womanizing Malik (Chanchez). BET managed to fit every black male baller stereotype into Malik’s character. In the opening scenes of the show, Malik is seen banging his team owner’s wife (Meagan Good), whom he later dates openly with no shame because rules don’t apply to him.

Celebs Out & About: Tia Mowry-Hardrict & Pooch Hall
Actors Tia Mowry-Hardrict, 32, and Pooch Hall, 34, appeared on the PIX11 Morning News this morning to promote the new season of BET’s “The Game” in NYC.
Is Tia still bleaching her skin? Hasn’t she already achieved the ghostly appearance that she was striving for? Tia used to be beautiful but now she looks regular. Maybe she isn’t aware that body image disturbance is an actual illness?

Homeless man with Golden Voice held by police in LA
Ted Williams, the “homeless man with the Golden voice,” was held by LA police for an hour yesterday.
According to the Atlanta Journal, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the luxury Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa last night.
It seems that Williams, 53, and his unidentified “daughter” had gotten into a loud verbal altercation in his room, which was probably paid for by a media outlet. Other media outlets are suggesting that his “daughter” was an intimate services provider from the boulevard that he brought up to his room.
“I don’t know how loud they were” but the argument at about 9 p.m. led to a disturbance report, said Officer Catherine Massey on Tuesday.
“It was minor. Both parties were angry but there were no signs of visible abuse,” Massey said. “They were brought in, calmed down, talked to and released.”
Williams, who has a long criminal rap sheet, has been arrested multiple times in the past for theft and drug-related charges.
He was plucked from obscurity as he stood by the side of a highway in Columbus, Ohio, holding a sign that said he was a former radio announcer down on his luck.
Since then, Williams has been courted by national TV and radio outlets, approached to do voiceovers by numerous corporations such as Kraft Foods, and offered a job and a home by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Celebs Out & About: Christina Milian
Singer Christina Milian, 29, and some friends were spotted having lunch at Shu Sushi House in Bel Air, CA on Saturday. Her friends are so trendy. I LOVE that patent leather Louis Vuitton handbag. The Louis flagship store at Lenox Square Mall carries the latest version of that bag in dark blue for $2,200.
It’s must be great having friends who can afford nice things. Even if you don’t have, you can live vicariously through them.

Sandra Bullock is not a good mother *Updated*
Scroll down for update…
Actress Sandra Bullock, 46, and her son, Louis Bardo Bullock, 1, were spotted outside their home in New York City yesterday. Notice how she’s carrying the baby on a day when the temps hovered around 34 degrees? Notice how the baby’s back is exposed to the elements and he is not dressed adequately for the cold weather?
Before you criticize me for nitpicking…
…this is how she carried Louis just 2 days earlier in the freezing snow. I don’t know why Sandra is carrying Louis in this manner — or why she believes his shoes and socks are appropriate for the cold weather. But these facts alone makes her a bad mother.
If Sandra doesn’t know how to dress a baby appropriately for the cold weather, maybe she should take a parenting class.
Babies are unable to regulate their body temperatures like adults can. Every conscientious mom knows that babies should be dressed in warm layers in cold weather. If we feel cold, imagine how the baby feels! It only takes one second to glance down and make sure the baby is covered completely. But it’s obvious that Sandra only cares about her photo ops.
It pains me to see narcissistic celebrities treat their adopted children like props.

fanMAIL: Is Beyonce Knowles Losing Her Hairline?
We’ve all noticed the fact that Burlesque singer Beyonce Knowles has been looking sickly and pale lately. The 30-year-old “Halo” singer is no longer seen in public as often as she used to be. And now it appears that she’s suffering from the same skin condition that has eaten away at former model Naomi Campbell’s hairline.
I know I have been relentless in my criticism of Bey’s singing in the past. But now I genuinely feel sorry for her.
Loyal reader Jennett writes:
Is Bey losing her hairline like Naomi Campbell?
Good Morning Sandra:
The article itself gave me the giggles but at a closer glance I notice bey’s lacefront is pulled back a bit far. Is she losing her hair like Naomi Campbell? And she really needs to lay off that bleach cream
From TMZ.com:
TMZ has learned Jay-Z — along with his mother Gloria (above left) and sister Andrea — secretly invested in a buffalo wing joint in Brooklyn called Buffalo Boss.
It’s not just because wings are delicious — Jay’s first cousin Jamar White (above right) is one of the owners.
The joint is already making a positive impact in the community — recently rewarding outstanding students at a local middle school with FREE FOOD! How awesome is that?!
Forget the mic … pass the blue cheese!
