fanMAIL: Is Janet Jackson serious with these ticket prices?

Pop Diva Janet Jackson, 44, announced her intimate concert tour on Monday (Jan. 3). Janet will play smaller venues and allow her rabid fans the opportunity to choose the songs she performs.

But all of that intimacy and privilege comes at a steep price that most fans simply can’t afford.

Miss Jackson’s “Up Close and Personal Tour” kicks off in Houston, Texas, on March 4. She will play 20 dates in 14 states. The ticket prices range from $122 for the nosebleed section to $600 for prime orchestra seats.

Celeb Style: Ciara in Christian Louboutin Toundra Fur Boots

Those of you who guessed Ciara’s snow boots were made by Christian Louboutin were correct:

From UpscaleHype:

Ciara was spotted courtside watching the Lakers vs. Knicks game in LA wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin Toundra Fur Boots ($2,095). These coyote fur trimmed boots feature two leather belt straps, with gold toned buckle closures, wood optic platform heels, and the Louboutin signature red bottom. Do you like her look?

Is Ron Artest a danger to others?

Is Lakers star Ron Artest a danger to others? Remember this is the same guy who ran up into the stands to beat up a fan back in 2004.

2 weeks ago, Lakers star Ron Artest, 31, auctioned off his NBA championship ring for $500,000 and donated the proceeds to help fund mental health treatment for at-risk youth.

Most saw his charitable act as a turning point in his troubled career. But during the 1st quarter of the Knicks vs. Lakers game at the Staples Center yesterday, Artest started to choke out Knicks player Shawne Williams. Artest jerked his hand back when he suddenly remembered that there were literally millions of witnesses watching on national TV.

This is what happens when a mentally unstable man snaps for just a quick second. Now imagine what would have happened if there were no eyes around.

Artest was assessed a technical but he should have been ejected from the game for putting his hand on the throat of another player. What kind of message does this send to the youth? Notice how the sportscasters laughed off the threat of violence?

Artest certainly deserves all the praise sent his way for his charitable act, but should we turn a blind eye to his obvious mental problems which continue to plague him on and off the court?

The question is not IF Artest will one day snap and kill somebody — it’s when.

Watch the video of Artest confronting Williams after the break!

PICS: Janet Jackson and Family Arrive at Court

Superstar Janet Jackson, 44, her sister LaToya, 54, brother Randy, 49, and mother Kathleen Jackson, arrived at a Los Angeles Courthouse for a preliminary hearing regarding the death of Michael Jackson earlier today.

Conrad Murray’s pretrial hearing resumed today. He is accused of causing the death of pop icon Michael jackson who died of a Propofol-induced cardiac and respiratory arrest on June 25, 2009.

According to paramedics, Jackson was dead even before his body left his rented mansion. But Murray refused to pronounce him dead at the scene. He insisted that the paramedics continue to resuscitate the 50-year-old singer.

Murray’s defense attorneys claim Jackson took his own life, but Jackson’s bodyguard testified last week that Murray ordered him to hide bottles of Propofol (an anesthetic/sedative used during surgery).

Additionally, the receiving doctor at the emergency room testified that Murray was not forthcoming about the Propofol. The doctor said Murray admitted to giving Jackson only Ativan, a sedative to help him sleep.

A judge will determine if Murray should stand trial on the involuntary manslaughter charge.

fanMAIL: Ciara’s Snow Boots and an Angry Brandy Stan

Here’s just a taste of the abundantly appreciative emails I receive on an hourly basis. You think your life is hard? Try reading my emails for 8 hours.

You love Ciara’s UGG Snow boots huh? She is pretty damn on trend, shame you aren’t. Those are Christian Louboutin’s, not UGGs. Surely you realize UGG doesn’t make red bottomed stiletto heels. Well then, evidently you don’t.

The following email was sent in by an angry, obsessed Brandy Stan named Anthony Harrell (probably not his real name):

I know brandy personally and she IS NOT pregnant. Before u post dumb shit maybe u should get your facts together u ignorant cunt. All u do is talk negative about folks. Your probably an ugly unhappy bitch that gets no dick.

Gabourey Sidibe is off the market

Actress Gabourey Sidibe, right, sat with her new boyfriend courtside during the New Jersey Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks game on Saturday (Jan. 8) in Newark, N.J.

Awww, she looks so smitten with him (or is that a her?)

The 27-year-old actress is still in high demand months after her critically acclaimed starring role in the award winning film, Precious. Gabby, who was bullied relentlessly by her on-screen mother, Mo’Nique, will play a bully herself in her next film, Yelling to the Sky, starring Zoe Kravitz.
