‘The Game’ Covers JET Magazine; Meagan Good Joins the cast
A little birdie (Ryan Cameron of V-103′s Ryan Cameron Show) told me that actress Meagan Good will join the cast of BET’s ‘The Game’ this season. Thank God she has a job. Now bloggers can stop referring to her as a socialite.

JET Entertainment Reporter Kelley Carter went on set with the cast of BET’s sitcom “The Game” to get the scoop on what fans can expect from their highly anticipated return to television on Jan. 11. Everyone in the original cast have come back, including Wendy Raquel Robinson, Pooch Hall, Tia Mowry, Brittany Daniel and Hosea Chanchez.
“Malik is going to go to a really dark place this season. That’s the best way I can describe it,” says Chanchez, who plays Malik Wright. “The way the writers wrote this character this
season, it is definitely, by far, my favorite work.”
Marsha Ambrosius’ Video “Far Away” sends the wrong message
Marsha Ambrosius’ new music video for her single “Far Away” is getting a lot of buzz, especially in the gay community. I watched the video in its entirety for the first time yesterday. And while I believe the directing is on point and the visuals are stunning, the video sends the wrong message about suicide as it relates to homophobic bullying.
Gay teens are not committing suicide because they are the targets of homophobic bullying; they are committing suicide due to their undiagnosed mental issues (depression being one of them).
If, as Marsha suggests, society succeeded in eliminating homophobic bullying, the suicide rate among gay teens would stay the same. That’s because the core issue (depression) is not being addressed properly.
Homophobic bullying is not the problem — bullying is a natural part of growing up. The problem is the lack of government funding for mental health programs in schools to identify and treat depressed teens.

Celebs Out & About: Rihanna gets frisky with her BFF Melissa
Pop singer Rihanna and her BFF Melissa Forde are back in the US after spending the holidays in their native Barabados.
The “Only Girl” singer must have had sex on her mind after dining with Melissa at Philippe Chow in Los Angeles yesterday.
When asked by a paparazzi what her New Year’s resolution was, RiRi answered “sex!” Simultaneously, Rihanna grabbed a handful of her lady friend’s butt cheek. You can hear Melissa giggle as the bodyguard shuts the door of their limo. At least RiRi is honest!
By the way, Rihanna was wearing her favorite backpack from the Louis Stewart Collection — the emerald green one in leather and suede! How cute. I have one just like it in grey suede.
