Celebs Out & About: Monica, Vivica A. Fox, Nick Cannon, Rihanna
The Diva Monica didn’t take home a coveted trophy last night, but she was still a winner! Mo, 30, was named the unofficial BEST Dressed winner last night at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards! She looked elegant and stunning in a black floor length Stephane Rolland dress.
Mo tweeted: “Stephane Rolland, I loved wearing your dress tonight. Your work is innovative, classy, yet edgy. Thank u.”
Actress Vivica A. Fox, 46, and her fiance, local club promoter Slimm, 25, attended Cash Money Records’ pre-Grammy bash on Saturday. They say Viv is a millionaire after making a few excellent investments. Through hard work and perseverance, she gets to have all that money AND a hawt man too!
Mariah’s husband Nick Cannon, 30, was spotted loaded down with bags after leaving Tiffany’s in Beverly Hills, CA over the weekend. He was dressed in Louis Vuitton from head to toe. Nick reportedly picked up a bunch of rings, bracelets and a watch for his pregnant wifey. Maria is due to drop her twins in April.
Former friend to the blog, Rihanna, 22, aka “Sideshow Bob,” was spotted picking her nose while dining with friends at a restaurant in Beverly Hills on Saturday. How classy. Rihanna picked up a Grammy award for Best Dance Song the following night at the Staples Center. The Media Circuit/INFphoto.com

Celeb Style: Nicki Minaj in Burberry
I’m shocked that Nicky Minaj looks halfway decent in this picture!
From UpscaleHype:
Rapper Nicki Minaj was spotted in LA wearing a vest, polka dot leggings, a suede zip boots, and carrying a Burberry Haymarket Check Tote Bag ($1,295). This bag features Burberry’s signature check pattern on canvas with brown leather trimming and a buckle strap detail.
Justin Bieber runs into Esperanza Spalding backstage (VIDEO)
When Esperanza Spalding shocked the world by snatching away Justin Bieber’s Best New Artist award at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, it signaled a new dawn in the music industry. People are just plain tired of Justin Bieber, who is rumored to be extremely rude to adults — particularly to no name female reporters.
We all know he should have won that award last night (whether he deserved it or not), but the Grammy committee wanted to send a strong message to the cocky kid: you’re not all that!
After eating a slice of humble pie, Justin, 16, literally ran into Spalding, 26, backstage at the Staples Center near the green room where interviews were being conducted. According to MTV News, rather than be bitter, Bieber shook hands with the newly crowned Grammy winner, congratulating her on her victory.
Their meeting was very brief, but the implication was clear: anyone can snatch your crown. You’re never too big to be chopped down to size. Just ask Beyonce.
Butt shot victim was under surveillance by drug agents
The 20-year-old British student who died of cardiac arrest after being given a lethal injection of silicone, was under surveillance by federal drug agents at the time of her death.
According to London’s Daily Mail newspaper, Claudia Aderotimi and her three friends were “flagged” by immigration officials during a previous trip from London to Philadelphia where they had butt and hip enhancement procedures.
Miss Aderotimi and her friends came under surveillance soon after they checked into the £100-a-night hotel near Philadelphia airport by agents who had received a tip-off that the girls were allegedly involved in some kind of drugs activity.
Officers from the Customs and Immigration Service sat outside her hotel unaware that in her fourth-floor room, she was being given a fatal silicone injection.
Police have named the woman suspected of administering the dose as a transgender singer who calls herself ‘Black Madam’.
The 41-year-old is being hunted by police after they seized syringes and silicone from her home.
Multiple ID cards in different names, among them Vanessa Brown and Padge Windslowe, were also found.
2011 Grammy Awards: Worst Dressed List
“Gram’ma Funk” takes the top prize for worst dressed attendee at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards that took plac last night (Feb. 13) at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. Hate her outfit, but I love her confidence.

Rapper Nicki Minaj never runs out of ways to embarrass her people. The “Monster” rap star wore a Bride of Frankenstein lacefront wig and an animal print dress with matching leggings. #EPICFAIL.
I don’t know what Ciara was wearing but I can’t decide which is worse: her Wonder Woman frock or her lacefront with the fake part in her hair.
Does this photo of Usher require any explanation?
Singer Lenny Kravitz and his hairline finally came to an agreement to meet on the other side of his head. Lenny has never been considered a style Diva until now. I wonder what brought on the change?

2011 Grammy PICS: Rihanna
In the past I would normally skip over any unflattering pics of Rihanna, but considering the events of the past 72 hours, she is no longer afforded such courtesy on this blog. Rihanna, 22, was fighting laryngitis and bronchitis last night, and it looks like the infections won the battle. She looked dreadfully dehydrated, like death warmed over. Still, Rihanna dragged herself to the Staples Center because she was assured that she would win an award if she just showed up. The Grammy folks are notorious for switching winners at the last minute if an artist doesn’t show up.
Rihanna attended the Grammy Awards with her bestie, Melissa. When Rihanna wasn’t feeling up Melissa in the audience, she was grinding and winding on Drake during her live performance.

53rd Annual Grammy Awards: Recap and List of Winners
Well, the massive snooze fest that is the Annual Grammy Awards is over for this year.
The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards was held at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles last night. Here’s a rundown of the night’s events culled from several online sources for those of you who couldn’t stay awake during the slow-paced pompous affair.
Christina Aguilera opened the Grammy’s with a soulful rendition of “Ain’t No Way” in tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, who successfully underwent gastric bypass surgery on Dec. 2nd.
The awards show was very predictable: Lady Gaga stole the show by arriving inside a giant egg carried on the shoulders of half naked men servants. She was hatched onstage.
Rihanna, who was fighting laryngitis and bronchitis infections, won a Grammy for Best Dance song: “Only Girl in The World.” She managed to get through her lip synced performances with Eminem and Drake, neither of which I’m posting on this blog. Eminem won yet another Grammy for Best “Rap” album, and Drake has yet to be blessed by the Grammy gods. Poor boy. He tries so hard.
Rapper Nicki Minaj, who didn’t win a Grammy, made a scene with her attention stealing Bride of Frankenstien beehive hairdo. “Yes, this is all my hair. At night, if I press a certain button, my hair grows. First of all, it grows up, and I press another button and activate the color on it,” she said on the red carpet.
There was one huge shocker in the Best New Artist category, which everyone is still talking about around the office water coolers this morning. Every man, woman and child on earth thought the Best New Artist Award would go to Justin Bieber, or maybe Drake. Instead, the award went to a a little known jazz artist named Esperanza Spalding. The surprise announcement prompted millions of viewers to ask in unison: “WHO IS SHE?”
Troubled comedian Katt Williams tweeted:

Meanwhile, everyone went racing en masse to Google to dig up any information they could find on her. Justin Bieber’s disappointed Stans wasted no time editing Spalding’s Wikipedia page. Welcome to the big time, hun!
It seems the 26-year-old Spalding isn’t exactly new to the scene, according to Wikipedia (before her page was rudely edited). She’s been around the industry for a minute. She even dropped a few albums along the way that nobody ever heard. Spalding specializes in playing bass – the stand up variety and the traditional bass guitar. She also plays the clarinet and the oboe (a wind instrument).
How can Spalding be a ‘Best New Artist’ when no one’s ever heard of her, you ask? Hey, this is the shady music industry where everybody and everything can be had for a price — including a Grammy Award. This is how it works kids: somebody on the Grammy committee owed somebody else something, and now you know who Esperanza Spalding is.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Beyonce, who didn’t win a Grammy or perform, looked old and tired last night. Her husband Jay Z stayed away, like any typical narcissist who believes that his absence leaves a greater impression than him actually being there in the flesh.
There were NO surprises where Chris Brown is concerned. If he reads my blog, he would have known that he wasn’t going to win a Grammy. The immature man-child took to his Twitter page to throw a tantrum, as he often does when he doesn’t get his way.
He tweeted: “To all the fans!! I love y’all. Don’t be upset!! This industry is based on politics and asskissing! My only concern is team breezy! Fuck everybody else!”
All things considered: it’s hard to have empathy for that punk.
About 100 awards were handed out during the pre-Grammy special, including all of the R&B categories, and most of the rap winners. It’s been that way for years. I’m not sure why people still act surprised that R&B isn’t shown any love during the actual live Grammy broadcast.
I didn’t watch the show last night, so my loyal readers weighed in with their opinions of Rihanna’s performances:
