Whatever Happened To: Tyrone Burton (“Thats So Raven” actor)
Actor Tyrone Burton, 31, got his start in the straight-to-DVD movie, Squeeze. From there, Mr. Burton played “T.K.” on the WB show ‘The Parent ‘Hood’. When ‘Parent Hood’ was canceled, he got a plum role as Raven Symone’s boyfriend “Andre” on the Nickelodeon hit TV show ‘That’s So Raven’.
After disappearing from the scene for a few years, Burton, 31, turned up today selling DVDs on a Los Angeles street. Like clockwork, the LAPD’s best showed up to place him in cuffs in full view of the paparazzi. His charge: bootlegging his own DVDs.
According to Burton’s Myspace page, he was hustling his own comedy play “Promise”, which is available on DVDs for $20. If you want to support Tyrone (and help pay his bail) you can call his business line at (323) 481-1447 to place your order.
Burton’s case is reminiscent of the 2007 arrest of Grand Hustle’s mixtape king DJ Drama, who was busted along with DJ Don Cannon during a raid of their mixtape operation by the feds and local authorities who accused them of trafficking their own mixtape CDs. The charges against both men were later dropped.

What He Said…
Clothing giant Kenneth Cole tweeted this today on his Twitter page in an effort to promote his Spring 2011 clothing line. It worked. Understandably, his 9,000 followers, and the rest of the blogosphere, are in an uproar.
As I typed this post, Mr. Cole removed the insensitive tweet. He tweeted this moments ago, “I have removed this morning’s tweet. Please visit this link to see my apology.”
Local radio personality stalked by Lisa Turtle Lookalike
First and foremost, stalking is not funny. It is a federal offense in all 50 states and stalkers who are caught in the act can face up to 90 days in jail — or more if they commit bodily harm.
That being said, a local radio personality and blogger is herself the victim of stalking in the form of online death threats, and other threats of bodily harm, all because a Lisa Turtle lookalike accused her of being racist on Facebook.

Jay Z to open sports bar in Atlanta?
Earlier this week, I received a tip from a confidential informant that rap mogul Jay Z, 41, was in town dining at that very moment at Atlanta’s popular Busy Bee soul food restaurant with Mayor Kasim Reed.
It seems that Atlanta is on a short list of cities being considered by Jay Z for his franchise 40/40 sports bars. But everyone who does business in the city of Atlanta knows that they must wine and dine Kasim Reed, who seems to do nothing other than get wined and dined by wealthy businessmen looking to extradite their paperwork.
I’m sure Jay Z, pictured above with Reed and rapper Jeezy, knows the rules by now.
According to the AJC blog, The Buzz, the original 40/40 Club in Manhattan (owned by Jay-Z and partners Juan and Desiree Perez) is scheduled to be shuttered for “renovations” soon.

Chilli has a son, Tron, 14, with music producer Dallas Austin, and she dated R&B singer Usher for 2 years. R&B singer Monica’s husband, Lakers guard Shannon Brown, shows off his sparkling wedding band while he signed autographs for fans at a T-Mobile store in Los Angeles yesterday. Fans queued up for hours to meet Brown who has struggled with nagging injuries this season. Brown’s name is on a short list of possible trades being considered by the Lakers, according to Bleacherreport.com, who says Brown could be shipped out for “earlier first-round draft picks” by the Lakers. But the Lakers would be foolish to trade Brown, who, at age 25 hasn’t reached his full potential yet.
