Here is the trailer to the much-talked about indy movie 'Paparazzi Eye In The Dark', starring actress and friend to the blog, Syr Law.

You may recall Syr from Tyler Perry's "Diary Of A Mad Black Woman."

'Paparazzi Eye In The Dark' is a who done it mystery starring newcomer Van Vicker as the personal photographer to a Nollywood superstar, Mr. Max (Koby Maxwell), who gets caught up in a love triangle that tragically ends in death.

The low budget movie features a strikingly beautiful cast and hot music. If you live in Washington DC or Chicago, look out for Syr Law who will be in your area next week to attend private screenings of 'Paparazzi Eye In The Dark'.

    "Nollywood" are the Nigerian films....

    Van Vicker is hardly a newcomer, he's been acting for several years in the Nigerian and Ghanaian movie industry and is easily one of the 3 biggest male stars in sub-Saharan Africa.

    Nollywood=Low budget Hollywood

    -------------------------------------

    Nollywood is not simply a low budget Hollywood. It's the 2nd largest movie industry in the world (larger than Hollywood as a matter of fact) and has a fan base of over 100 million people. Its at least a $500 million per annum industry and is completely controlled by black Africans. It's relatively young (20 or so years) and largely lacks the resources that is available to Bollywood and Nollywood filmmakers, yet at least 100 movies are released per week and on average each of those movies move approximately 150,000 copies on its release date with ZERO marketing. Nollywood is so impressive that the World Bank recently invested $30 million into the industry because it is likely that the industry will be a source of significant job creation for Nigeria and West Africa.

    I love Nollywood in case you haven't noticed yet.
