A.J. Jewell’s Daughter, 15, Shot in Drive-By

One of AJ Jewell’s daughters is in critical condition in Grady hospital at this hour. Police say Asheley Jewell, 15, and other teens were riding in a car on Old National highway Saturday night when someone in another vehicle opened fire. Jewell (pictured above) was hit in the back of the head. She was transported to Grady hospital where she remains in a coma.

Police said road rage may be a possible motive in the case, according to Fox 5 News.

A.J. Jewell was once engaged to “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Kandi Burruss. He died after a fight in the parking lot of a strip club in 2009. He left behind six kids.

“My heart feels heavy 2day,” Kandi Burruss tweeted on her Twitter page about Asheley. “I have my daughter & her friends so I’m trying to keep smiling but I’m worried about some1 else I care about.”

Either she is respecting the families privacy in this matter, they had a falling out after the death of A.J. and is keeping a respectful distance or she is staying out of it and keeping her mouth shut so the family doesn’t ask her for financial assistance. It has to be one of these 3,.. I already have my mind made up though.

SR, I dont know or work for Kandi but she really seems like she’d give the shirt off her back to anyone. I’m not sure what you know that the rest of us dont (know about Kandi). Even with that being said, a person’s past or what they use to do is just that. Let’s accept people for where they’ve come and who they are today.

Poor kid. I really hope she pulls through. People, life is to be valued. Unless you’re defending ur life, I dont see why folk some gun happy and not concerned with injuring the next person or taking a life.

This sort of thing has been happenening a LOT lately and it’s very sad. Two similar incidents happened while I was staying in New Orleans recently. They were entering the interstate when a car pulled up and opened fire.

This guy I went to school with was involved in on of the incidents and died. Senseless killing for no aparent reason.

The really sad part about this situation is the kids in the car probably didn’t even do anything. Wrong palce at the wrong time.
